I hadn't uploaded a card to SplitCoastStampers since last April! I didn't have Wyatt today and took the opportunity to do a challenge and upload my card. The challenge was to confine your "art area" to a space less than two and a half inches square.
With this card, I am also continuing my mission to use all of my Stampin' Up! stamps. Both stamps on this card are from the set called "Happy Harmony." I colored the flowers with markers and used the "thumping" technique. (Color with one color, and then lightly "bounce" or "thump" over the colored area with a darker marker.) I embossed the frame with a square Nestability.
Edited to add: Here is a simple video I did on this technique. I hope it helps!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
A place for me to share the cards I create, and maybe a few other things, too!

SCS Free 4 All Challenge
This card is for today's SplitCoastStampers Free 4 All challenge - to use the negative image from a die or punch.
The balloon dies I used are from Quickutz/Lifestyle Crafts. The sentiment is from The Paper Company. After cutting out the balloons and stamping the sentiment, I embossed with a Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder, added the patterned paper, and matted with black. I decided to add two of the balloons that I cut out, too, so I sponged some Rose Romance ink around the edges and mounted them on foam squares. The patterned paper is from My Mind's Eye.

SplitCoastStampers Free4All Challenge - Anniversary
I made this card for last week's SplitCoastStampers Free4All challenge. The challenge was to make a 3.5 x 6 inch card.
That was the perfect size to use a neglected Cuttlebug folder from the Cindy Loo set. All the embossing on the card was done with the same folder with one pass through my BIGkick. The flower and leaves are from the same Fiskars set. The flower was cut out and mounted on Pop Dots and the leaves are stamped directly on the card front layer. (The entire front is one piece layered on to the card base so that the embossing doesn't show on the inside of the card.) The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

Double Challenge Card
What do you do when you can't sleep? Stamp, of course! I made this card this morning for today's SplitCoastStampers Free 4 All Challenge to use inchies or twinchies and also for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge to use opposite colors on the color wheel.
My inchie stamps are from Inkadinkado. I used Stampin' Up! Pacific Point and Pumpkin Pie ink to stamp them and Pumpkin Pie cardstock for the matting. The inchies are cut out and mounted on Dimensionals. The sentiment is from Gina K and is stamped with Pacific Point.

CAS-ual Fridays and SCS Challenge
I made this card yesterday and thought about not posting it, since it's kind of similar to others I've done, but what the heck! It seemed to be fate, since it fits the SplitCoastStampers Free 4 All challenge to use three or more of something, and also the CAS-ual Fridays challenge today to use pastels and black.
The patterned paper is from the same Recollections pad I've been using lately. I cut it with a Papertrey die. These squares are actually left over from another card I made yesterday. I adhered them to the white and then matted with black. I added the flowers to the squares with black brads. The sentiment is from Stampendous.

SplitCoastStampers Free4All Challenge
I made this card last week for the SplitCoastStampers Free4All Challenge. The challenge was to CASE a stamping friend.
I chose to CASE Harriet's card for SCS Sketch Challenge #336. Here is her card. I used a Penny Black Sticker, cut it into two pieces, matted with True Thyme cardstock (from Stampin' Up!) and added the sentiment, which is from Studio G (the dollar bin at Michael's) and stamped with True Thyme ink.

Challenge Card - thinking of you
I made this card yesterday for the SplitCoastStampers Free 4 All challenge #65 - to use colors opposite each other on the color wheel. I chose lavender and pale yellow. It's also for the Fall-To Layout #141.
I started with white textured cardstock. I added the lavender on the bottom - punched with a Martha Stewart border punch. The yellow flowers were punched with a Martha Stewart punch, also, and I added pearls to the flower centers. The sentiment is an older Stampin' Up! rubon. The flower came from my stash, and I added a black brad. I matted with yellow and then black and used a white card base.

SplitCoastStampers Challenges Card - Lots of Layers for a Boy
I started this card Thursday morning when Owen (my grandson) was napping, but he woke up when all I had done was stamp the robot and cut him out. So, yesterday morning while he was napping, I finished the card.
When I started it, it was for Thursday's SplitCoastStampers Ways to Use it challenge - to make a card for a boy. Friday's Free4All challenge was to use lots of layers. So, I made a boy's card with lots of layers and got them both in:) The robot is from a Recollections set. I stamped him on silver mirror paper twice and on white once. I cut the entire image out of the silver, the head out of silver, and his "control panel" out of white. I glued on the white piece and used foam squares to add the popped up head. I also added "googlie" eyes. The papers are from an old Sizzix pad. I embossed the black with a Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirls folder and sanded it down. I cut the circles with Nestabilities. The circle layer is mounted on foam squares, also. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Birthday Basics set.

White "Feline Better" Card
I made this card for yesterday's SplitCoastStampers Free4All challenge. The challenge was to use at least two embossing folders. You got "bonus" points for using one you've never used before. :) I had never used the cat one before.
I embossed the cat first - using my cardboard "stack" on top of the folder so I didn't get the lines from the folder's edge. Then I embossed the dots using a border folder. I used the cardboard stack for that, too. The sentiment (from Repeat Impressions) is stamped In Stampin' Up!'s Mauve Mist. The entire front panel is mounted on Dimensionals.
