And Even More Card Parts

These two die-cut backgrounds were in my card parts.  I own the dies and I believe they are from Memory Box. I mounted this first one on foam squares. The flower pieces and sentiment were done a couple years ago using a borrowed Stampin' Up! set.

The sentiment on this one is from Altenew. The leaves are from Gina K - from an ephemera package.

Mini Slimlines

Three more of the cards that I made by using up some patterned paper. I added thin strips of black between each section.  The roses and the sentiment are die-cut and are each two layers thick. Each of these cards is six and a fourth inches by three and a half inches.
Another die-cut - this one is from Memory Box. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up!
Another die and again the Stampin' Up! sentiment.

Glittery Gold and Black Birthday

I still have several card parts on my table and thought I would work on using them up. These don't even include the ones in my card parts book! Oh well. I'll keep chipping away. I do really love having the parts to use. Sometimes they make for really quick cards.

The parts on this card are the black piece with a die-cut border on the bottom, the gold glittery strips, and the gold glittery butterfly which was cut with a Memory Box die from white a couple times and gold glittery cardstock once and glued together. To finish the card, I stamped the dots and the sentiment - both from an Altenew set - and embossed with gold glitter embossing powder. Then I just added the black piece to an ivory card base and added the glitter strips and butterfly.

Sparkly Purple "Hi"

For this card, I used a die from Memory Box to cut the cattails and frame out of purple glitter cardstock. I cut a piece of patterned purple paper to go under the die-cut. I used a different pattern for the bottom layer. Both papers are ancient papers from Stampin' Up! The "Hi" die is a new-to-me die from Altenew.

And More Christmas Cards

The patterned paper on these cards is from a matstack from Hobby Lobby. The die-cut ornaments are three layers topped with a gold foil layer. I believe the dies are from Memory Box. The sentiments are embossed with gold powder and is from Lawn Fawn. The sentiment panels are popped up with foam squares.

More Christmas

Another of my last group of cards for this Christmas. The embossing was done with a Sizzix folder. The ornament (I believe) was done with a Memory Box die. I matted that panel with red. The patterned paper is from Hobby Lobby. The ornament is three layers, topped with a gold foil layer.

Reverse Stencil

I often watch Gina K videos on YouTube while I walk on the treadmill in the morning. That is where I learned this technique - this time from Gina's daughter, Rina. It's pretty cool. First, you cover a piece of cardstock with ink. I used brushes and Gina K inks. I think the cardstock I used for this one is even Gina K. After covering the cardstock, place a stencil over the inked piece and then use black ink. This is what you get. I'll have another card done with this technique on tomorrow's blog post. I matted with black. The sentiment (also from Gina K) is matted with black and mounted on foam squares. The butterfly is die-cut. I think it's from Memory Box. I cut a piece of vellum to place underneath it and glued it to the sentiment panel.
This card was done with the same stencil, but just the typical way. I stamped the sentiment on vellum and embossed. I folded the edges of the vellum around the panel before matting and then I added thin black strips of cardstock to the top and bottom edges.

Birthday Wishes

I got Gina K's new Stamp TV kit, and this is the first card I've made with it. I used watercolor paper and stamped the image and embossed it with black powder. I used watercolors for the flower and leaves. The sentiment is from the kit, too. The butterfly is one I made a couple weeks ago using a die for the black part. I glued it to an orange piece for the bottom layer. I mounted the butterfly using a foam square under the body.

Butterfly Special Day

Another sheet of the gorgeous paper I got from a friend - very shiny and shimmery. I added some dies - the butterfly and the sentiment with shadow. The shadow was cut from vellum, as was the top layer of the butterfly. I cut the sentiment and the bottom layer of the butterfly from a light pink cardstock, but I decided I wanted it darker, so I colored them with a Copic marker. I added some Martha Stewart gems to the body of the butterfly. I'm pretty sure the butterfly die is from Memory Box.

Snowflake Christmas

This card was made with another piece that I die-cut with a friend's die. I think it's from Memory Box. It's supposed to have two pieces coming out the left side, also, but I messed it up. It was too pretty to toss, though. I added it to a strip of blue which I scored with my Scor-Pal along the top and bottom. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn. I cut the panel to 4 x 5.25 and added it to a white card base.

Orange and Gold Color Swap, Plus One More

This is the card that I made for the monthly color swap in my stamping group. The colors this month are gold and orange. I used Memory Box dies for the flowers. I used gold foil cardstock. I believe the "thank you" is from Taylored Expressions. I added thin gold strips on the top and bottom of the image panel. The cardbase and panel are ivory.
While I had the dies out, I decided to make another. This time I decided to use my Xyron to "pre-stick" the flowers. I cut my gold foil first and I had the die upside down. Oops. I had to cut the flowers "backwards." It worked out fine, though. I used pink for the flowers this time.

Little Birthday Wish

I had these Memory Box dies out for making another card, so I thought I would use them for multiple cards. One die cuts the stem with three flowers and then there are three smaller dies that cut the matting for the flowers. I made two sets for this card. I used textured pink paper for the flowers. The sentiment, from My Favorite Things, was matted and mounted on foam squares. I added some black "pearls" of different sizes with a Pearl Pen/Perler Pen, which is like Liquid Pearls.

Happy Anniversary, Kris and Ron!

Here is the card that I made for my friend, Kris, and her husband for their anniversary. I saw it this type of card on Jennifer McGuire's YouTube videos. I think it's just called a shadow box card, but I'm not sure. The flowers and leaves are layered stamps and dies from Sunny Studio. I cut out the rectangle with a stitched rectangle die from Memory Box. The corner stamp on the rectangle on the front of the card, along with the sentiment, are from a Papertrey Ink set. The background was stamped with a Recollections background stamp. The "Celebrate" sentiment is from a Hampton Art set.

Holly Jolly Christmas - in Foil

This is one of those cards that is so much shinier in real life! The background was done with a snowflake stencil and Deco Foil Transfer Gel with silver foil. The sentiment is from a sheet of laser-printed sentiments from Gina K that I foiled with red. I cut it out with a Memory Box stitched rectangle die, matted with red and mounted on foam squares.

August Calendar Page

Well, a bit late, but here finally is my August calendar page for this year. We were camping and I forgot to schedule it.

I used a Repeat Impressions stamp for this page. I colored it with Copic markers and cut it out with a Memory Box stitched rectangle die. That's it!:)

I had a good run of posts - posting nearly every day for two months. I've reached the end, though! I have nothing more to post and no time for spending in my stamping room. Maybe I'll post a couple pictures of our camping trip to northern Minnesota - Tettegouche State Park. The weather was great and the views were awesome:) I have some projects that I need to get done around the house, but I'll be sure to share any stamping that I find time for. I hope you are all having a great summer so far.

Ornaments Border

Two more cards I made while at our Group Gathering. Told you I got a lot of cards made down there! LOL!

I used one of my new Gina K stamps, embossed in silver, for the sentiments. I die-cut the borders using a Memory Box die that I bought at the store's garage sale. I also used my Scor-Pal for more dimension and interest. So, I now have 41 Christmas cards made for this year.

Beautiful Days of Retirement

Nothing different about this card, but I post nearly every card that I made, so here you go:) I used a Memory Box corner die on ivory cardstock. I placed rose colored glitter paper underneath and made it show around the edge, too. The sentiment is from Repeat Impressions. I use it a lot for retirement cards. I matted the sentiment with the same glitter paper and mounted it on foam squares. This is for a friend whose last day of work was Friday.

Blue Holly

Another card using the same holly die I used on a couple other cards. For this one, I matted with slightly patterned cardstock from Recollections. The sentiment is actually die cut with a Memory Box die using a sheet from the same matstack.

Chinese Lanterns - and Group Gathering Photos

This is one of the two cards I actually completed while I was at our Group Gathering last week. The other is not even blog-worthy. The dies I used were from Memory Box which I purchased at the store we were at. (The store is Inspire Papercrafting. They are SO awesome to let us move in for a few days and leave our stuff scattered all over the crafting area!) It's hard to tell in the picure, but I used silver shiny cardstock for the die cuts and the matting. The orange pieces were cut with pieces from the same set.

I may as well share a picture of the members of our group who were at our Gathering this year.
Here is a photo of all seven of us at The Machine Shed, where we always eat the first night.

Joyce was not able to spend the last night with us, but here is a picture of six of us in front of the stamping store. Left to right: Vicki, Harriet, Sheri, Kris, Georgia and me.

Friends #3

I wasn't going to use this cute stamp (from the Stampin' Up! set called "Friends"), because I was too lazy to color it! :) So, I thought about just stamping it and showing it, but then decided that I could use it this way. I stamped it with Versamark ink on pink cardstock, then embossed it with detail white embossing powder. I cut it with a Memory Box stitched rectangle die. I matted with a thin border of white, then cut another pink layer with a slightly bigger stitched rectangle die. The sentiment was cut out of silver metallic cardstock and has been sitting around on my table for a few months.
