Directed by Darren Aronofsky

Casted by:
Russell Crowe as Noah
Jennifer Connelly as Naameh
Ray Winstone as Tubal-cain
Douglas Booth as Shem
Emma Watson as Ila
Logan Lerman as Ham
Anthony Hopkins as Methuselah
 Story
As a young boy, Noah witnesses his father, Lamech, killed by Tubal-cain. Many years later, Noah is living with his wife Naameh and their sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, but after seeing a flower grow instantly from the ground and haunted by vivid dreams of a great flood, Noah takes them to visit his grandfather, Methuselah.

On the way, they come upon a group of people recently killed, and adopt the lone survivor, a girl named Ila. Noah and his family are chased by Tubal-Cain's men, but seek refuge with the fallen angels known as the 'Watchers', confined on Earth as stone golems (nephilim) for helping humans banished from the Garden of Eden. Methuselah gives Noah a seed derived from Eden and tells Noah that he was chosen for a reason. Returning to his tent that night, Noah plants the seed into the ground. The Watchers arrive the next morning and angrily discuss how they shouldn't help Noah until they see water spouting up from spot that Noah planted the seed. An entire forest grows quickly and the Watchers state that they will help Noah do the Creator's bidding. These trees are cut by the Watchers to build Noah's Ark with the help of Noah's family.

After the arrival of birds to the Ark, Tubal-Cain arrives with his followers and confronts Noah about his purpose for building the Ark. Noah defies Tubal-Cain and remarks that there is no escape for the line of Cain. Tubal-Cain retreats and decides to build weapons to defeat the Watchers when the rain starts and the Ark must be taken. As the Ark nears completion, animals of various species enter the ark and are put to sleep by incense.

With Ila having become enamored of Shem, Noah goes to a nearby settlement to find wives for Ham and Japheth, but upon witnessing cannibalism by a starving mob, he abandons his effort. Thereafter Methuselah cures Ila of sterility. Ham, searching for a wife on his own behalf, acquires the refugee Na'el (Madison Davenport).

The rain starts falling and Tubal-Cain becomes angry that he wasn't chosen to be rescued. The followers of Tubal-Cain make a run for the Ark. In the meantime, Noah finds Ham in the forest and forces Ham to save himself and leave Na'el to die when she is caught in a metal trap set for an animal. All of Noah's family enter the Ark except Methuselah, who remains behind purposely in the forest awaiting the flood to deliver him from the Earth. As the deluge begins, the Watchers hold off Tubal-Cain and his followers as long as possible but in the end, sacrifice themselves to protect the Ark from the mob. Upon doing so, they ascend to Heaven after leaving their mortal stone form. As the flood drowns the remaining humans, an injured Tubal-Cain climbs onto the Ark and solicits Ham, playing on anger toward Noah for allowing Na'el to die. Ila becomes pregnant as rains stop, but Noah, against his wife's dissuasions, resolves that if the child is a girl, he will kill her to satisfy the Creator's wish to destroy humanity.

Months pass, and Ila and Shem build a small raft to escape Noah's resolve, but Noah burns it after discovering it. Afterwards, Ila gives birth to twin girls. Meanwhile, Tubal-Cain convinces Ham to help kill Noah, who is therefore attacked by Tubal-Cain, Ham, and Shem. As they fight, the Ark hits a mountain, and Ham kills Tubal-Cain. Noah seizes Ila's twins, but he spares them upon perceiving innocence. Upon exiting the ark, Noah goes into isolation in a nearby cave and starts to drink wine. Afterwards he is discovered by his sons, nude and drunk. Having reconciled, at the behest of Ila, with all but Ham (who departs alone), Noah blesses the family as the beginning of a new human race, and witness an immense rainbow.

L² Comment:
Noah's Ark is one of my favorite epic biblical genre kind of movie, its a bit long of this movie which involve the after of the whole incident which the ark has finally landed somewhere. Well, overall the story is ok for me, but i'm not sure about the part where Tubal-Cain went into the ark, anybody?

Directed by Simon Curtis

Casted by
Michelle Williams as Marilyn Monroe
Eddie Redmayne as Colin Clark
Kenneth Branagh as Laurence Olivier
Emma Watson as Lucy
Judi Dench as Sybil Thorndike
Story:
Following his graduation from university, aspiring filmmaker Colin Clark travels to London to get a job on Laurence Olivier's next production. Hugh Perceval tells Colin there are no jobs available, but he decides to wait for Olivier, whom he once met at a party. Olivier and his wife, Vivien Leigh, eventually show up and Vivien encourages Olivier to give Colin a job on his upcoming film The Prince and the Showgirl, starring Marilyn Monroe. Colin's first task is to find a suitable place for Marilyn and her husband, Arthur Miller, to stay at while they are in England. The press find out about the house, but Colin reveals he hired another just in case, impressing Olivier and Marilyn's publicist, Arthur Jacobs.

The paparazzi find out about Marilyn's arrival at Heathrow and they gather around the plane when it lands. Marilyn brings her husband, her business partner, Milton H. Greene, and her acting coach Paula Strasberg with her. She initially appears to be uncomfortable around the many photographers, but relaxes at the press conference. Olivier becomes frustrated when Marilyn is late to the read through. She insists Paula sits with her and when she has trouble with her lines, Paula reads them for her. The crew and the others actors, including Sybil Thorndike, are in awe of Marilyn. Colin meets Lucy, a wardrobe assistant whom he is attracted to, and they go on a date. Marilyn starts arriving later to the set and often forgets her lines, angering Olivier. However, Sybil praises Marilyn and defends her when Olivier tries to get her to apologise for holding the shoot up.

Marilyn struggles to understand her character and leaves the set when Olivier insults her. Colin asks the director to be more sympathetic towards Marilyn, before he goes to Parkside House to check on her. He hears an argument and finds a tearful Marilyn sitting on the stairs with Arthur's notebook, which contains the plot of a new play that appears to poke fun at her. Arthur later returns to the United States. Vivien comes to the set and watches some of Marilyn's scenes. She breaks down, saying Marilyn lights up the screen and if only Olivier could see himself when he watches her. Oliver tries unsuccessfully to reassure his wife. Marilyn does not show up to the set following Arthur's departure and she asks Colin to come to Parkside and they talk. The crew becomes captivated by Marilyn when she dances for a scene and Milton pulls Colin aside to tell him Marilyn breaks hearts and that she will break his too. Lucy also notices Colin's growing infatuation with Marilyn.

Colin and Marilyn spend the day together and are given a tour of Windsor Castle by Owen Morshead . Colin also shows Marilyn around Eton College, and they go skinny dipping in the River Thames. Marilyn kisses Colin and they are found by Roger Smith, Marilyn's bodyguard. Colin is called to Parkside one night as Marilyn has locked herself in her room. Colin enters her room and Marilyn invites him to lie next to her on the bed. The following night, Marilyn wakes up in pain and claims she is having a miscarriage. A doctor tends to her and Marilyn tells Colin that she wants to forget everything. She later returns to the set to complete the film. Olivier praises Marilyn, but reveals she has killed his desire to direct again. Lucy asks Colin if Marilyn broke his heart and he replies that she did, a little. Marilyn comes to Colin's B&B and thanks him for helping her. She kisses him goodbye and Roger drives her to the airport.

L² Comment:
This is quite a nice film, a biographical film which show us how Monroe is at that time. The only thing i dont really like it is Michelle Williams, i feel that she's a bit fat to be Marilyn. Its not that she's not good in acting, but she doesn't have that feel.If Christina Aguilera can act, i prefer they choose her as the character, but too bad, Aguilera's acting is a bit so so...

Story:
As Lord Voldemort retrieves the Elder Wand from Albus Dumbledore's grave, Severus Snape has become Hogwarts' headmaster. Meanwhile, after burying Dobby, Harry Potter speaks with Griphook about breaking into Bellatrix Lestrange's vault at Gringotts bank, suspecting that a Horcrux may be hidden there. Griphook agrees to take Harry, Ron, and Hermione to the vault in exchange for the Sword of Gryffindor. Harry asks Ollivander, a wandmaker, to identify two wands they took from Malfoy Manor. Ollivander says they belonged to Bellatrix and Draco Malfoy, but Malfoy's wand has changed its allegiance to Harry.

At Bellatrix's vault, Harry discovers that the Horcrux is Helga Hufflepuff's Cup. He obtains the cup but Griphook steals the sword and abandons the trio, leaving them cornered by the alerted security. However, the three release the dragon guardian and flee. Harry has a vision of Voldemort killing Goblins, including Griphook, and learns that the Dark Lord has discovered the theft. Harry also learns there is a Horcrux at Hogwarts, that is in some way related to Rowena Ravenclaw. The trio apparate into Hogsmeade, which sets off an alarm. They are rescued by Aberforth Dumbledore, who instructs a portrait of his younger sister, Ariana, to fetch Neville Longbottom who leads the trio through a secret passageway into Hogwarts.

Snape hears of Harry's return and informs staff and students of the severe punishment for aiding Harry. Harry confronts Snape, who flees after Minerva McGonagall challenges him to a duel. McGonagall gathers the community of Hogwarts to prepare for battle. At Luna Lovegood's insistence, Harry speaks to Helena Ravenclaw. She reveals that Voldemort performed "dark magic" on her mother's diadem, which is in the Room of Requirement. Ron and Hermione go to the Chamber of Secrets, where Hermione destroys the Horcrux cup with a Basilisk fang. In the Room of Requirement, Draco Malfoy, Gregory Goyle and Blaise Zabini attack Harry, but Ron and Hermione intervene. Goyle casts a Fiendfyre curse and is burned to death, but Malfoy and Zabini are saved by the trio before destroying the Ravenclaw diadem. As the school is attacked by Voldemort's forces, Harry, during a trip into Voldemort's mind, realizes that his snake, Nagini, is the final Horcrux. After entering the boathouse, the trio witness Voldemort telling Snape that the Elder Wand cannot serve him until Snape dies, and has Nagini kill Snape. Before dying, Snape tells Harry to take his memories to the Pensieve. Meanwhile, in the chaos, Fred, Lavender, Remus, and Tonks are killed.

Harry learns from Snape's memories that Snape loved Harry's mother Lily, but despised his father James. Following her death, Snape agreed with Dumbledore to protect Harry from Voldemort out of his love for Lily. He also learns that Dumbledore's death at Snape's hands was planned between them. Harry learns that he became a Horcrux when Voldemort originally failed to kill him and that he must die in order to destroy the piece of soul within him. Harry goes to die at the hands of Voldemort in the Forbidden Forest. Voldemort casts the Killing Curse upon Harry, who finds himself in a strange limbo where Dumbledore meets him and explains that the part of Voldemort within Harry was killed by Voldemort's own curse. Harry, unwilling to die, decides to return to his body.

Voldemort announces Harry's death to everyone at Hogwarts, and that anyone who defies him will be killed. As Neville gives a speech, Harry reveals that he is alive. Neville draws forth the Sword of Gryffindor from the Sorting Hat, and as Harry begins his duel with Voldemort across the school, Neville decapitates Nagini, leaving Voldemort mortal. Voldemort is killed as the Elder Wand returns to Harry. During this time, Molly disarms and kills Bellatrix. After the battle, Harry explains that the Elder Wand had recognised him as its master because he had disarmed Draco at Malfoy Manor, who in turn had disarmed its previous owner, Dumbledore. Harry snaps the Elder Wand, rejecting its power. Nineteen years later, Harry and Ginny Potter, along with Ron and Hermione Weasley, watch proudly as their children leave for Hogwarts.

As mentioned many times, i'm not a huge fans of Harry Potter, but i watched all the movies in the cinema :) From when they are small until now, you can really see how they change in physically. But how about their career? Do three of the main actors get any better chance in their acting career? Not really that much but only fame of news.

Well, about the movie, i'm really happy it finally ends... phew~ but its a bit confusing as i don't really remember all the names of characters, mayb rewatching the old one will help. Anybody got the DVD?~

Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows: Part 1

Released Year: 2010
Directed by David Yates & Ben Hibon

Casted by:
Daniel Radcliffe as Harry Potter
Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley
Emma Watson as Hermione Granger
Ralph Fiennes as Lord Voldemort
Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix Lestrange
Jim Broadbent as Horace Slughorn
Robbie Coltrane as Rubeus Hagrid
Warwick Davis as Filius Flitwick
Story:
The film begins as Minister of Magic Rufus Scrimgeour addresses the wizarding media, stating that the Ministry remains strong as Lord Voldemort increases in power. Severus Snape meets with Voldemort and the Death Eaters to inform them of Harry's departure from Privet Drive. Voldemort takes Lucius Malfoy's wand from him, as his own shares the same core as Harry's and therefore cannot be used to kill Harry.

The Order of the Phoenix arrive at Privet Drive planning to move Harry to safety using Polyjuice Potion to create six decoys. During their flight they are ambushed, resulting in the deaths of Hedwig and Mad-Eye Moody. Voldemort's borrowed wand fails to kill Harry. That night, Harry has a dream in which he sees Ollivander being tormented by Voldemort, who claims that the wand-maker had lied to him for having said that a different wand would succeed in killing Harry.

Scrimgeour arrives at The Burrow and distributes items from Albus Dumbledore's will to Ron, Hermione and Harry. Dumbledore bequeathed Godric Gryffindor's sword to Harry, which Scrimgeour states is an important historical artifact and is therefore not Harry's property and that it is missing. That evening, the wedding of Bill Weasley and Fleur Delacour is disrupted by Death Eaters, so the trio disapparate to London. Eventually finding sanctuary at No. 12 Grimmauld Place, they discover that the "R.A.B." from the false Horcrux locket is Regulus Arcturus Black. From Kreacher, they learn that Mundungus Fletcher has stolen the real locket. Kreacher and Dobby apprehend Fletcher, who reveals that the locket is in the possession of Dolores Umbridge. Under the guise of Ministry employees, the trio make their way to the Ministry where they successfully retrieve the locket and escape to a forest.

Unable to destroy the Horcrux, they take turns wearing it in order to dilute the paranoid thoughts which the Horcrux induces. Ron, while wearing the locket, is overcome by suspicions that Harry and Hermione are forming a relationship, so he abandons them. Harry sees a vision of Voldemort interrogating Gregorovitch, a renowned wand-maker who claims that a teenage boy had once stolen the legendary Elder Wand from his shop. Voldemort then begins to search for the thief.

Harry and Hermione go to Godric's Hollow to find Bathilda Bagshot, a historian who may have the Sword of Gryffindor, which they believe will destroy Horcruxes. Unfortunately they are cornered by Voldemort's snake, Nagini, and barely escape. Hermione identifies the mysterious thief seen in Harry's vision as Gellert Grindelwald.

When evening falls, Harry sees a doe Patronus and follows it to a frozen pond where he finds the sword beneath the ice. Harry attempts to retrieve the sword, but the locket almost drowns him. Ron returns just in time to rescue Harry, who opens the locket for Ron to destroy. However, before Ron can destroy it with the sword, smoke emerges and begins to project images of Ron's fears; a fake cloud of Harry and Hermione kiss and embrace naked for it was insulting him but he eventually manages to destroy the horcrux.

The trio then visit Xenophilius Lovegood to learn about a symbol seen several times on their journey. They learn that the symbol represents the Deathly Hallows, (the Elder Wand, the Resurrection Stone and the Cloak of Invisibility). Lovegood then betrays them to the Death Eaters in an effort to have his kidnapped daughter returned. Later, Harry envisions Grindelwald telling Voldemort that the Elder Wand lies with Dumbledore. The trio are captured by Snatchers and taken to Malfoy Manor where Bellatrix Lestrange imprisons Harry and Ron in the wine cellar in which they discover Luna, Ollivander, and Griphook the goblin. Bellatrix tortures Hermione for information on how they found the sword, which was supposedly in her vault at Gringotts. Dobby apparates to the cellar and successfully rescues the prisoners, but is killed by Bellatrix in the process of escaping.

When the trio realized that Dobby was killed, they gave him a proper burial without using any magic. Voldemort arrives at Dumbledore's tomb, breaks it open and obtains the Elder Wand.
