Paris

Hi! It's Georgina with my Thursday post.
Today I have a decorated tray to share with you.

To make the tray I started by cutting or tearing images, as shown below, from Graphic45 Quote Unquote, Before Time and Glimpse of Paris 12x12 papers.

On the Eiffel Tower image I stamped the Postmark stamp with VersaMark ink pad and heat embossed it with WOW Ebony embossing powder. On the large panel I distress the edges with Walnut Stain Distress ink. I then stamped the Dictionary meanings stamp onto it before embossing it with a Crackle embossing folder.

I painted the tray with brown acrylic paint. Once dry I attached the large image and clocks inside the tray as show below.

I also added more clocks from the Before Time paper, buttons, a Buckle slider and a clock charm inside the tray.  To finish I added the Eiffel Powder image, sentiment and words to the front of the tray.

Wishing you

Hi! It's Georgina with my regular Thursday post.
Today I have a men's card to share with you. I have used a kraft, cream and brown colour scheme.

To make the card I started by laying up the background elements. I used Letters and music patterned paper and also Graphic45 Quote Unquote and Glimpse of Paris 12x12 papers. I either added the papers flat on the 6x6 kraft card blank or I scrunched up the papers before adding to the card to add extra texture and dimension.

The main stamped music image and the sentiment are from Hobby Art's Musical stamp set. The sentiment I stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad onto kraft card. The musical image I stamped with a VersaMarkink pad and then heat embossed with WOW Ebony embossing powder.

I also stamped KaiserCraft Dictionary Meanings onto the card and a tag with Walnut Stain Distress ink. I also embossed the tag with a Crackle embossing folder. to finish the card I added a button and thread to the tag

Another little gift bag....

Good morning everyone

Moving on from last week's easy gift bag, this one is a little more involved

Here is the finished item which
is approximately 5" high by 3" wide and 2" in depth

Here's how to make it
(and there are two more bags made with different papers at the bottom of this post)

Cut a paper to 11" by 8.5"

With the paper placed in landscape, vertically score or fold the following measurements starting from the left at 2" then 5" then 7" then 10"
turn the paper 90 degrees anti clockwise and score or fold starting from the left
2" then 7"
You can just about see the folds above

Cut along the score/fold lines as above
You will notice that on the right hand side, I have cut on an angle on the narrow flap,
also, at the bottom, I have cut each score/fold line vertically to the horizontal score/fold line

With Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear glue I attached one side (the flap cut with an angle)
to the other to create a 'tube'

Fold in the sides of the bottom and glue

Turn right side up and pinch the sides together

Punch two holes in the closing flap, then pinch the bag closed and mark the holes
onto the paper behind the flap with a pencil.  Open the flap and punch two holes
 where your marks are

Add a decorative strip or punch a pretty edge

Thread a ribbon from the inside of the bag through to the outside and tie a bow
to close the bag

Here is the same bag with different papers

You will see that I have punched the edge of the closing flap on this bag, also, instead of tying a bow, I have tied a loose knot in the ribbon and attached a paper flower
The paper is from the Graphic 45 collection called Picture Perfect

I hope you all have a great week

A clock for him

Hi! It's Georgina with my Thursday blog post. Today I have a clock to share with you.

The clock base is Tando Printer Tray Style clock available from Lisa B Designs.

To decorate this clock I started by painting the clock with dark brown acrylic paint. Once dry I stamped Kaisercraft Postmarks clear stamp with a VersaMark ink pad all over the front panel only. I then heat embossed the stamped images with  WOW Metallic Brass embossing powder.

Before attaching the front and back of the clock together I attached panels of patterned paper behind each panel of the clock front. I used sections from Kaisercraft's 12x12 Map and Now boarding collection luggage carousel papers.

On some of the panels I stamped Kaisercraft's Dictionary Meanings clear stamp and on other panels I embossed them with a Crackle embossing folder before attaching them to the clock front.

To finish the clock I cut out and added stamps, clock and buttons from 12x12 Graphic45 papers. The papers I used were Before your time and Glimpse of Paris.
