Grunge elements

*This post is part of the February promotion fortnight. Remember to leave a comment to be entered in the giveaway.*

Morning all,
Today I'm sharing a card with you that uses Imagination Crafts Grunge elements stencil.
I ran the stencil through my die cutting/embossing machine to emboss the design.
You will need to check the correct sandwich for your particular machine.
I used smooth stamping card  for this.
I trimmed the card once finished.

I then replaced the stencil, it's a good idea to hold in place with a low tac tape.

Using a stencil brush I applied Adirondack sailboat blue (40% off in the Mega Sale)
I've tried to show in the picture how this technique gives extra dimension.

Next I used an 8 x 8 square card blank and without embossing this time, randomly stenciled the design again with my brush but using Adirondack stonewashed
(40% off in the Mega Sale)
I think you'll see the difference between the embossed and flat images.

With the stencil in place for the butterfly, I added a touch of
I finished off with a couple of Craftwork cards candi (40% off in the Mega Sale)
a ribbon bow and some dots of pale blue liquid pearls.

Rather than mounting the main design in a formal way I put the second mat layer at an angle.
Well that's it from me for today,
Many thanks for visiting the blog and for the lovely feedback and comments you leave for us.

A Sparkly Christmas Gift...

*This post is part of the November promotion fortnight.
Remember to leave a comment to be entered in the giveaway.*

Morning, it's my Thursday slot again.
Today I have a CD Clock to show you which would make a really lovely Christmas gift...

The backgound card for this project is Lilac Damask Swirl by Imagination Crafts.
The main clock digits are Craftwork Cards Card Candi with numeral peel offs and I added some Rhinestones along one side.
This really is a simple but effective project and the first clock I've made using Sparkle Medium and I couldn't believe how quickly I achieved this.

At Lisa's Christmas Party workshop she will have some of my CD Clock kits so you'll be able to see them if your're coming along.
Hopefully I'll be able to share these techniques with you in more detail so you can make some nice clock gifts.
Everything is provided in the kit including the lovely gift/display box with the acetate window.

I hope you like this project and feel inspired to have a go yourself.
I look forward to sharing more projects like this with you.
Thanks so much for looking today and remember to leave a comment to enter in the giveaway.

Spring Flower tag...

Happy Friday everyone

This week I've made a simple tag using the
Woodware Clear Magic Spring Flowers stamp
available HERE

I started with a tag is from the

Using a Black Onyx Versafine pad, I stamped the Spring Flowers
on to the tag

I then stamped the Spring Flowers on to some leftover paper from the
Craftwork Cards Botanica Collection and cut out the large leaves, buds and flowers
(I actually stamped two images and cut two of each flower)

After cutting out, I attached the pieces to the tag using
I then attached the second set of flowers on to the first with a dab of
glue to the centres
To add colour, I used promarkers and to finish off, I attached Craftwork Cards Candi
to the centre of each flower, added some Stickles Star Duster Glitter Glue and used a black fine liner pen to add some dashes around the edge

Good morning

Being very short of time lately, I made the following quick card
which I think is suitable for men

upon which I matted and layered some green textured paper and some
Kaisercraft 12x12 paper named Impasto

I then cut some strips of left over papers
and attached them using
I finished off by attaching a sentiment from the

Let the papers do the work!!

Imagination Flutterby and Bay Leaf Stencils...

Good morning everyone

This week I've made two cards using some products from
Imagination Crafts.

I started with a Craftwork Cards 6x6 card blank and attached a sheet of
I then cut a piece of thick acetate to size (6x6) and placed the
Imagination Flutterby Stencil over the top, taping it down around the edge with
Using a craft palette knife and
I spread the Sparkle Medium over the stencil before carefully peeling the stencil away from the acetate to reveal the butterfly.

After leaving the Sparkle Medium to dry overnight I then attached the acetate to the front of my card using extra strong double sided tape down the left hand side of the card
Because the tape was visible through the acetate, I attached another strip of tape in order to hide it with some ribbon and a few co-ordinating Craftwork Cards Card Candi.

My next card was made in a similar way.
I cut a piece of super smooth card to fit a
Craftwork Cards 6x6 card blank and using Woodware Stencil Tape. I taped my
Imagination Bay Leaf Stencil to my super smooth card
with Adirondack Pitch Black ink and some Cut and Dry Foam
I inked the card through the stencil.

I then cut a piece of strong acetate slightly larger than 6x6 size and taped it down
using my clean, dry stencil (which I washed in warm soapy water).

I spread the stencil withImagination Sparkle Medium in Silver using a craft palette knife.
I carefully peeled away the stencil and left the Sparkle Medium to dry.
I placed the acetate over the black image but moved it slightly to the right to create a black shadow
I trimmed the acetate to fit the card and attached it  with strong double sided tape along the top of the card and then attached some black ribbon over the top to hide the tape.

Have a great week and keep crafting.
