New Diet Coke Exotic Mango (UK)

Image
It's not often that Coca Cola bring out a new flavour, so when they do it's always an occasion worth shouting about. The last one was when Vanilla Coke was brought back  (wayyyy back in 2013 - it feels like only yesterday!). More recently we had a Pepsi Max Ginger variety, which is about as exotic as the cola world gets these days. So it's quite exciting indeed that Coca Cola have gone for such a bold, fruity flavour to pair with Diet Coke - Mango! I was super surprised to find this in Tesco Express recently, I had heard rumours about it on Instagram but thought it would take a while to make it here up North. I immediately bought a bottle, not really caring about the price (turns out it was £1.10). I waited until I got home to try this just so I could drink it from my bona fide special Coca Cola glass: It's described as "sparkling low calorie mango flavour soft drink with vegetable extracts and sweeteners" and the ingredients are pretty much fizz...

Haagen Dazs Mango & Raspberry Ice Cream

Image
It's British Summertime, and in in true fashion we're having heatwaves followed by downpours...so what better way to cool off than with ice cream, right? Today's review is one I've had in the archives a while, I bought a box of Haagen Dazs Fruit Collection way back when mainly to try the Blueberry and Cream variety, but it also contained this tub that I've never tried before, Mango & Raspberry. I was disappointed with the white chocolate Mango & Raspberry sticks so how does this variety compare? Thankfully it's s lot, lot nicer! Like the other pots from The Fruit Collection this comes with it's own individual spoon - so handy for picnics! The pot consists of mango ice cream with swirls of raspberry sauce mixed in, and is the perfect creamy and fruity combination. The flavours complement each other well, with the sauce bringing nice bursts of tart raspberry to the sweeter mango ice cream. Overall, this is a great flavour from Haagen ...

Haagen Dazs Mango & Raspberry White Chocolate Ice Cream Bars

Image
Haagen Dazs have recently launched a new range of Ice Cream sticks into multi-packs, including Salted Caramel Milk , Vanilla Caramel Almond , White Chocolate & Almond , and this variety - Mango & Raspberry which is only exclusive to Tesco stores. As much as I want to try the whole range they're a little pricey so I went for just this one. No doubt I'll try the others in the future, although I've already reviewed the Vanilla Almonds Stick last year, which seems a tad different to the new Caramel variety. These cost £3.50 per three pack and are described as "Mango ice cream with raspberry swirl and Belgian white chocolate with sweetened raspberry pieces". They don't state if they're suitable for vegetarians unfortunately, however they contain no gluten ingredients. The sticks have a nice curved shape, but did look a tad on the small side. Although all ice cream sticks are shrinking now so I suppose these are pretty similar in size to a ...

Hotel Chocolat Mango White Chocolates

Image
I've already reviewed hotel chocolat's carrot cake and rhubarb and custard chocolates recently - both part of their new summer range - and the final review in the trio is these mango white chocolates. Now these aren't specifically British inspired like the aforementioned treats, but they're just as tasty and delicious...kind of like Solero ice cream in chocolate form! They're described as "mango ganache sealed in a white chocolate shell, decorated with naturally coloured white chocolate". Mango concentrate makes up 8% of the ingredients, which is a lot of mango! Perhaps explaining this is the blurb on the pack: "our rabot estate is overflowing with mangoes - we mourn for the ones tragically squashed underfoot"! Mango isn't a flavour I've often seen paired with chocolate, which is a tragic shame as it works so beautifully, especially with Hotel Chocolat's creamy white chocolate. The mango ganache here is perfectly ...
