Skittles Dips Yoghurty Coated

Image
This is shaping up to be quite a packed year in terms of new product releases thus far; we've had various new cookie and ice cream varieties, various Cadbury products (including the new Choose a Flavour vote), Dark Milk Galaxy bars and now these...Skittles Dips! I had heard rumours about these some time ago and that they would be white chocolate coated, but it seems something must have changed along the way and they went with yoghurt instead. Perhaps a wise choice as white chocolate mixed with Skittles would be just a bit too sickly! These are simply regular fruity Skittles with a yoghurt flavour coating and are available in Asda stores for £1. The yoghurt coating is pretty thick, moreso than I was expecting and has a familiar sweet yoghurt aroma. I was expecting these to be awful if I'm honest, but to my surprise they weren't too bad! They're not quite as tangy as expected, which is a good thing, they're more of a sweet yoghurt "flavoured...

Muller Light Carrot Cake Limited Edition

Image
I'm not usually one to eat yoghurt, never mind light yoghurts, but on this occasion this new Muller Light flavour seemed so intriguing I had to give it a whirl. Carrot cake is one of the best types of cakes out there in my opinion, so how would it translate into yoghurt form? Fat Free and Low Calorie yoghurt form at that?! After all cake isn't a calorie free food (much to the distress of many!) Like all Muller Light's these are good if you're following a Weight Watchers or Slimming World type plan, and are meant as a lighter treat. The yoghurt is sweetened with aspartame and also contains maize starch, flavourings and cinnamon in the ingredients. It's been so long since I ate Muller Light (last time was probably the Muller Light Turkish Delight !) but on the first spoonful I was transported back to my days of eating this stuff when following a weight loss plan many years ago. It's super sweet and artificial, and honestly, the carrot cake flavour is prett...

The Collective Dairy Xmas Pud Yoghurt (Limited Edition) Review

Image
I bought this "xmas pud" yoghurt from The Collective Dairy when I saw it reduced at the Co-Op recently - for 69p I couldn't say no (it usually costs over £2!). It's a mixture of live gourmet yoghurt with xmas pudding flavour "mincemeat" sauce. The yoghurt tasted very creamy and indulgent, with a nice tang. The mincemeat sauce is very plentiful and dispersed throughout the yoghurt, which means you get a generous amount depending on where in the tub you're eating. It tastes very spicy with plenty of citrus peel and raisins, and reminded me of the filling in mince pies rather than xmas pud. This isn't a bad thing as it works well with the creamy yoghurt. Overall, this is a very tasty seasonal yoghurt...and it's a healthier way to get your xmas pud & mince pie fix over the festive season! RATING: 8 out of 10.  Price: I paid 69p but I've seen them for as much as £2.40 in some shops. Suitable for vegetarians?: Yes. Allergy Informat...
