Using Technology for Planning

Image
Despite the focus that I love to place on my paper planners, I also understand that we live in a world that relies heavily on technology.  Though there can be a downside in the constant use of technology, there can also be an upside.  I have found that technology helps keep my husband and I on the same page in keeping household and family responsibilities in order.  Please enjoy the video below that shows my favorite apps to keep us Thank you so much for stopping by today.  Remember to take some time to enjoy the little things.

Thanksgiving 2018 Planning

Image
I love Thanksgiving and everything about it.  I love fixing a table full of food and surrounding that table with family and friends.  Some years I have had more than 20 people in my home and other years it has just been the four of us.  Either way, it is a wonderful time to gather and not only to eat, but to thank the Lord for all that He has given us and all that He does for us.  He is truly good and has given me more than I can ever fully thank Him for.  Thanksgiving isn't the only one time of year to do that, but I believe it is an important time of year to do so. No matter how large or how small of a gathering I host, I have to be organized.  I have always been a list maker for events, but I have found that Thanksgiving is one time that I want to not only be organized but I also want to preserve memories.  That's what I am using this Thanksgiving Planner/ Journal/ Memory book to do. Thanks for stopping by today.  Remember to take some time to enjoy the little things

Getting Back Into Planning

Image
It feels so good to be back into planning mode.  I have all my supplies organized and am ready to go.  I love the feeling of seeing tasks completed and checked off the list.  I'm currently using 4 different Foxy Fix TN's for different things.  I show you three of them in this video and the fourth is my work planner.  I mentioned it in the previous post. I am using my Ikea Raskog cart to organize my supplies.  I picked up some plastic containers at Walmart and added some other storage items that I've had in my craft room. On the top part of the cart, I keep my stickers and other embellishments that I can use in my planners. I also keep extra inserts and dashboards for my #7 planners as well as extra notepads. On the second shelf in the cart, I keep my extra #2 inserts and dashboards, some sticky notes and extra stuff I might find useful in planning. The bottom shelf holds extra pens, my fountain pen supplies, planner stamps and other tidbits.  How

November 2018 Planning

Image
So much has happened in the last month and a half.  Besides getting the craft space organized and most of our pictures hung around the house, we have made a couple of trips.  I have also spent quite a bit of time sick.  I'm so thankful to finally be feeling better.  However, the time down was not without some good things.  In fact, I had time to watch some YouTube videos, organize my planner supplies and really start using my planners again. There is a video posted below, but there is one planner that didn't make it into the video.  My work planner was sitting on my desk when I made the video so we will start with it before moving on to my personal planners.  I use a Foxy Fix #5 at work and I absolutely love it.  I keep a month on 2 pages calendar from the 1407 planners and then I print inserts from Etsy for the daily pages.  This layout is perfect for work since it doesn't include Saturdays or Sundays.  It is undated and I use it only on the days that I need it.

"Moving Forward" Foxi Dori Insert

Image
I am so excited about the new Close To My Heart Annual Inspirations that I have taken a step back to re-assess where I am with my CTMH business.  Enter my wonderful uplines, Jessica and Mandy, with a 12 week mentoring session.  This is great timing for me. As I was reading through the first week's assignment, I decided that I wanted to make a new notebook for my Foxy Dori instead of putting the information in my bullet journal.  That's when I remembered that I ALREADY had a book. Woot! Woot! Now all I needed to do was make it pretty.  Of course, I had to use some of my favorite paper from CTMH's 2015 Annual Inspiration book. >>>Don't forget that this Inspiration book will be going away at the end of July and you don't want to miss out on this fabulous paper pack!<<< You don't need hardly any supplies to replicate this cutie.  If I used a Close To My Heart product, you just have to click on the name, and you will go directly to my onli

We all love to look at the elaborate scrapbooking pages we see all over the internet.  Sometimes, we might even enjoy making our own.  Though it may come as a surprise to you, there are some of us who don't enjoy spending time crafting.  Other times, we are realistic enough to know that if we wait to write things down until we have time to make

Planner Quick Tip - Rub-Ons

I know that some of you do not like rub-ons.  I actually like them a lot and can't believe I hadn't really thought about adding them to my planners and journals.  They are so perfect for that because they add so little bulk.  I really recommend that you go through your stash and find some old rub-ons to add to your planner lay-outs.  You may just find a whole new love. Thanks for stopping by today.  Remember to take some time to enjoy the little things.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Remember to take some time to enjoy the little things.

Image
Welcome to the Damask Diva Team Planner Blog Hop. I am so excited to be sharing this new planner with you and I'm even more excited to see how the others have set theirs up.  If you just happened onto my blog today, be sure to start with Mandy at the beginning of the hop by clicking here .  I'll post the full line-up below. Back in December, I walked you through the blank planner, but now I'm ready to show you exactly how I'm using it.  I decided that this planner would make a perfect journal.  This is the one that I will make pretty while my others will be more down to business.  I realized that I simply do not have the time to spend decorating all my planners.  Because I don't carry this one around, it was the perfect one to make pretty. You can purchase your planner and accessories directly from me by clicking here .  However, don't limit yourself to just the items in the Everyday Life section.  As you saw in the video, you can use so many products fro

Damask Diva Bloghop - "Sangria" Planner Pages

Image
I am so excited to be participating in my first ever Damask Diva blog hop.  If you are following along and came from Melissa , you are in the right place.  If not, be sure to head over to Jennifer's blog to start at the beginning by clicking here. This month we are featuring the Sangria collection from Close To My Heart.  The colors in this kit make it perfect for Fall papercrafting.  I think there will be some fabulous thank you cards from this collection.  However, I wanted to use it to spice up a week in my Filofax. Now I typically decorate only slightly so that my planner pages are fun but still remain functional.  After all, if a planner isn't useful for planning, its not what I need right now.  This week however, will be a bit more decorated but still with plenty of room to keep organized. To start with I grabbed my planner pages from my Filofax and sponged them with Eggplant , Champagne and Poppy Exclusive Inks.  This created a warm base for my decorating.
