Elephant Baby Card with Georgie

Image
I have to tell you that I think that the new Georgie collection from Close To My Heart is fabulous!  It is so fun and versatile.  What do I mean by versatile?  The colors and patterns in this collection can be used for boys and girls.  This is wonderful when you are making something for that friend who doesn't plan to find out if they are having a boy or a girl.  However, it can still be used when you know exactly what you are planning for as seen with this card for a special little girl.  Add some watercolors and you have a perfect combination for your new arrival. Here's what you will need to recreate this card: Georgie Paper Packet Georgie Complements Georgie Assortment Close To My Heart Watercolor Paints or Watercolor Pencils  Inkadinkadoo "Welcome Baby" stamp set This little bit from the complements packet is a cute addition to the inside of the card, don't you think?  Did you check out this month's specials at the top o...

Teddy Bear Baby

Image
Good morning everyone.  If you are hopping over from 3 Girl JAM, welcome.  I have a little card for a co-worker to share with you today.  I wanted to make her something unique but also pretty.  3 Girl JAM had the perfect combination of ribbons, though I used pieces from 2 different bundles.  Iris from the Spring Flowers bundle and Baby Girl from the Baby bundle paired beautifully to pull this card together. Now I realize that the picture looks a bit fuzzy and I was bummed about that at first.  Then I realized that the vellum overlay was causing that look.  It makes the card feel soft and ready for baby. Besides the gorgeous 3 Girl JAM ribbon that is linked in the bundles above, I used a few other products.  They are: Prisma colored pencils - Sienna brown, dark umber, burnt ocre, black, pink, violet, parma violet, peach Gamsol Charm from a RAK Teddy Bear Vellum Cardstock - white from Paper Trey Ink and Georgia Pacific Colore...

It's A Boy Baby Card

Image
Good Morning!  I trust you are having a great day.  I have been quite busy, cleaning up the craft area trying to have a neater space to work in.  The card I have for you today was actually designed quite awhile ago in the Cricut Craft Room.  However, I was not able to get it to cut.  It would only print.  After multiple attempts, I decided to just print it and to hand cut it.  I'm going to need to call customer service to try to figure out what is going on. Here's what I used: "Nursery Tails" Cricut Imagine cartridge Georgia Pacific white cardstock Icicle Stickles "Goblin Green" crinkle ribbon from 3 Girl JAM Foam adhesive 3 Girl JAM bowmaker Close To My Heart - Indian Corn Blue ink Inkadinkadoo - "Welcome Baby" stamp set (for the inside of the card - please see the video) How about a video to show you how I made this? Rosette Baby Card

Image
The theme for this month's card exchange club was "baby".  I didn't realize that I only had a couple of baby stamps.  I don't have a specific Cricut baby cartridge though there are some that would work on other cartridges.  I decided to make this card using the Tim Holtz Alteration "Paper Rosette" dye.  I also used a punch from EK Success and a Stampin' Up stamp on the inside of the card.  Thanks for watching.

Baby Bag and Card

Image
Do you have shopping bags sitting around?  You know, the kind you get from retailers in the mall.  They are too sturdy to throw away, but you don't want to use them as a gift with your favorite store written across the front.  No worries, with just a little creativity (and maybe a Cricut), you can re-purpose those bags into your very own original gift bag.  I once saw one on YouTube and I decided I finally had something I could do with those bags that I have stacked up.  It's also a great way to turn a plain, inexpensive gift bag into something special. As I mentioned in my last post, I attended a baby shower for a co-worker tonight.  She is expecting a baby girl and I had a bag I had been saving for just such an event.  I was so excited to use it!
