Hi CIP friends!  I have a few little gift tags to share with you today.  This is also my last post for CIP.  I've had such fun with these beautiful paints, and just want to say thanks so much for visiting with me on my posting days.  Hope to see you around!
The paints I've used on each of the flowers and leaves are Tutu Pink, Tan, Mellow Yellow, Tickled Pink, and Emerald.  Each of these items can be found in the Creative Inspirations Paint store.  (image used is from Inkadinkado)  Here's a Closer View:

Shimmer Flowers

Hello!

Shea here with my very first project for you!  Today's card features some fun flowers that I made using several colors of CI Paints and the Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers die.

Normally I like to use lots of texture and patterns, not to mention glitter and bling, on my cards but this flower is so colorful and shimmery that I decided to let it stand alone (almost).  It was so much fun!

First I die cut all of the pieces several times each out of patterned CS, then I sprayed them with water and scrunched them to give them, well, a tattered look.  They are very fragile at this stage and easily torn, as you can see on the green flower with the long, thin petals.  Not a problem, the torn off petal can be attached later.

I painted them with multiple layers of paints, first with Tutu Pink around the centers, then Sky Blue, Mellow Yellow, and Sage for the appropriate colored layers.

Then I layered them, centering them with a pearl.  See how the patterned papers show through the layers of paint?

Here's one closeup showing the shimmery goodness...

...and another closeup showing the patterns.

And that was all there was to it!  I have lots of flowers left over for future projects as I got a little carried away while making them.

The rest of the card was simple.  A quick run through the Big Shot for the base layer with a dot embossing folder, a simple sentiment enhanced with pearls from my stash, and some Metallic Inspirations matte brads finish this simple, yet still colorful card.

Thank you so much for joining me and I hope we see you over at our latest CI Challenge, the theme of which is Anything Goes!

Happy crafting!

Glittery Speckled Eggs

Hi CIP fans! Dana here today sharing a fun Spring decor piece. I picked up this small nest for practically nothing and had a lot of fun embellishing. The original eggs were plain white plastic and in need of some shimmery texture and color.

I first added a coat of Resplendence Angel Dust Glitter to the eggs.  Once dry, I used a toothbrush to add specks of color in Sky Blue, Mellow Yellow and Chocolate.

Fall Layout with Painted Flowers

Hi CIP fans!  Dana here today and I'm so excited to share my first project for Creative Inspirations Paint!  I wanted to create some fall flower clusters for my layout.  I didn't have flowers to match this specific color palette, so I started with white flowers and some Creative Inspirations Paint.  I'm thrilled with my custom painted flowers!

I also painted the fence, which began as natural wood, with Chocolate.  I love the subtle shimmer!

Painting flowers and embellishments to match patterned papers is easy and fun with the fabulous range of CI paints.  With several shades of each color, adding depth and highlights is a breeze.

I used Sunshine, Canary and Mellow Yellow to color this flower.  I started by coloring the center of the flower with Sunshine.  I then colored the majority of each petal with Canary.  I finished this bloom with random highlights of Mellow Yellow along the tips of the flower petals.

I used Raw Sienna, Gold and Autumn Wheat to color this flower.  I applied Raw Sienna to the petals, leaving the tips white.  I added Gold to create a darker flower center.  I then added Autumn Wheat to several of the petal tips to finish.

I used Burnt Clay, Copper, Burnt Sienna and Mango to color these flowers, working out from the center from darkest to lightest paint color.  Once the flowers were dry, I used a dry brush and some Winter Frost to add white highlights to the petals for a more shabby feel.

I used Emerald, Sage, Green Olive and Mint to color these flowers, working out from the center from the lightest to darkest paint color.  I used Emerald to lightly color the edges of the flower petals.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  If you would like a chance to win some of this fabulous paint, join in on any one of the weekly challenges each month.  You don't need to use Creative Inspirations paints to play along, but if you do, you double your chances of winning! Be sure to check back here every day for more inspiration from the talented design team.

For You

Hello crafty friends.  Today I'm sharing a card using an image from the DigiStamp Boutique.

This sweet image is from the Rosie Collection 1.  I colored it with copics and colored pencils and then applied Creative Inspirations Paints to the balloons and package bows to give them some shimmer.  I used Sunshine, Mellow Yellow, Turquoise, and Sky Blue on the balloons.  On the bows, I used Turquoise, Sky Blue, Royal Purple, and Light Purple.  Then I went over all of these areas with Fairy Dust to really add some sparkle!

We have a challenge going on and you can find all the details in this post.  You can find all the Creative Inspirations Paints here.  Thank you so much for stopping by.

Hugs, Anita

Make a Wish, They Do Come True

This fortnights card, was created for a very special friend, about to embark on the venture of a lifetime, with moving to USA to broaden her areas of study.  I wanted to make a card which is my interpretation of dreams coming true for her - an of course a coat of Creative Inspiration Paints was a 'must'.

The beautiful Prima Marketing 'Fairy Belle' 6' X 6" pad was used to create this card, and every component was covered in a generous coat of Creative Inspiration Paint. The ballerina fairy, and butterflies were painted with Fairy Dust - seemed most appropriate and left the most glorious touch to the image/s. 'Mellow Yellow' was applied to the 'yellow' butterfly on the right.

The base of the card was created using the Cheery Lynn Designs, French Flair Classic Series, and then topped with the Mini Pearl French Flair.  Also, the foliage (Dimensional Leaves and Olive Branches) were painted with several coats of 'Green Olive' Paint, as well as, 'Evergreen' to create a depth of shadow on one edge.

Each of the flowers was touched with 'Gold', just highlighting each of the petals.
The Imaginarium Designs Chipboard - 3" X 2" Swirly Frame (IDFR0004) was painted using Antique Gold, in a haphazard manner, leaving patches with no paint.  A light sponge of 'Gold' Creative Inspirations Paint was applied over the entire frame leaving a gorgeous, two-toned -gold, with amazing shimmer.

The challenge theme on the Creative Inspirations Blog is Mother's Day this week, and can be found 'Here'. Each month, one person will win 5 jars of paint in the colours of their choice. There is a top 3 each week, and a winner chosen randomly from all those who have participated that month, so make sure to join in on our challenges each week!

I colored this hot air balloon image from Heart Song Designs with Copic markers, and then I went over them with some shimmery Creative Inspirations Paint. Then I used the Out of the Box Nesties technique from Technique Junkies to cut this out and attached it to this card.

I used some Mellow Yellow paint on the green and yellow stripes of the balloon and some Fuchsia paint on the pink part of the balloon. Here is a close-up so you can see the fabulous shimmer:

Hello Friends!!

I have been feeling so very springy the last few days!  I think mostly because of the beautiful days we have been having.  Oh, I look forward to getting outside in the dirt and planting some flowers and enjoying the light breeze and sunshine.  Todays card is all about jellybeans and bunnies...very Spring, right?

I used the paint colors Tutu Pink, Mint and Mellow Yellow and painted them right onto my stamp.  Then I stamped my Jelly beans and bunnies all over my card.  After the paint dried I layered some paper and embellishments on top.
I hope you can see the shimmer here.  These bunnies and Jelly beans turned out really sweet!  And don't be afraid to really paint up your stamps, I usually just wash them off in the sink when I am done.

Have a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by
