Wishing You A Beautiful Day

Hello friends, Julie here from Muddy Paws & Inky Fingers and I'm super excited to be here! I discovered Creative Inspirations Paint last Spring and instantly loved them for their shimmer.  I can't tell you how excited I am to now be on the design team for these wonderful products!  Let the fun begin!!
Even though it's October, I'm still seeing butterflies.  They were the inspiration behind today's project.  I wanted to make something with fall colors, but using butterflies.
I made a fun card to share today, and used Creative Inspirations Paint on the embellishments:

I cut this easel card out on my Silhouette.
Here's a close up of the embellishments:

The flower looked similar to this one before I painted it:

I painted the crocheted flower with fuchsia, Turquoise, and Sage Creative Inspirations Paint.  The button was white when I started, but I coated it with Mocha Latte Creative Inspirations Paint. I love how it brought out the texture in the button!

I'll leave you with another angle of the easel card, so you can see how the wings of the butterfly appear to be flying.

Makes Me Happy

Hi everyone! Emily here today with a quick post to share a canvas I made this past week using soeme Creative Inspirations Paints on top of my other mediums.

I've found that CI Paints work really well added on my mixed media pieces as accents, or for smaller embellishments, or even just for various areas of shading in the sky or ground.

On today's canvas I used the paints on the background in the sky and grass, the flowers and on the word Happy.

The paints are so vibrant that added to already bright colors, they really shine! It's just one of the many things I love about CI Paints.

I used Super Sparkle Pink Deliquesce embossing powder for the word Happy... see all of those sparkles?

Colors used on my canvas today:

Thanks for stopping by!! Have a wonderful day! Enjoy your weekend!

Soar with CI Paints

It has been a bit since I have played in my studio. The last few projects I have made have all been made while away from my home. It was nice to actually play in my own studio and let my creativity soar. While putting away the remaining supplies from my art supply bag I had a perfect idea for my post today using Creative Inspirations Paints.

I wanted to incorporate my Gelli Plate and the CI Paints on a canvas. This was the first time I used my Gelli Plate and a canvas. I was a bit unsure if it would work, especially since I only have gallery wrapped canvases in my home. So they are deeper which I thought would make it tough getting the design from the Gelli Plate onto the canvas. However, it was MUCH easier than I thought.

Here is the final product:

I used my Gelli Plate with Rose Quartz, Turquoise, Green Olive and Lavender paints to make the background. The stencil I used is one of my favorites by Crafters Workshop. It is nothing but swirls, which are so fun to me.

The paints mixed together for a kind of tie dye effect, but you can still see the individual colors.

A little side view...

And because I used the Gelli Plate with the paints, I had extra paint on my plate and stencil... so I used some heavyweight white cardstock to remove the remaining CI Paint from them.

Here is one of the images I got...

I'm thinking this will make a great background for a card... or tag. Or heck, even a layout!

As always, the paints I used today from CI Paints:

Be sure to join the Inspired By: Anything Goes Challenge going on with Diana! We love to see what you are all creating!

Have a great day!

Let Your Dreams Fly - Art Journal Page

Hello my creative friends! Today I have a journal page I quickly made using a wooden dragonfly, oil pastels, watercolor crayons and lots of Creative Inspirations Paint and some Jeweled Inspirations. To be honest, I have been out of town all weekend, so I created this on the road. I made sure to pack up my CI Paints and some other coloring tools along with my art journals. This isn't my best, but it works.

I was really going for a pond with a dragonfly flying overhead. We often see lavender/purple flowers (which I really think are weeds) near ponds where we live. I wanted to include them on my page for more color.

In my grassy parts I used Sage, Green Olive and Evergreen paints. Sapphire, Turquoise and Tanzanite were used on the water, while Beige was used on the sand/dirt around the pond. All of the paints mixed in the various areas add a wonderful shimmer to the entire page.

My dragonfly is a wooden one that was made by Genuinely Jane Studios for a Missouri LSS in the Columbia area. I covered it in tissue tape and colored it with Rose Quartz and Tickled Pink on the wings and some more Turquoise and Green Olive on the body. It really shimmers in the light. I love it!

My flowers have Clear Jeweled Inspirations for the centers with some Lavender paint accented petals.

I will probably work on some more pages tonight using some other colors of CI Paints.   I can't wait to play some more!

Once we are back in Missouri this week and not on the road I will get more regular play time in and not just in a journal.

See you soon!

Ribbon and Bling Birthday Card

Hi CIP fans! Dana here today sharing a small card for the "Ribbon and Bling" Challenge theme this week. One of my favorite features about Creative Inspirations paints and glitters, is the subtle shimmer. I love that I'm able to create colorful projects with an elegant finish.

I dyed the seam binding with Turquoise Paint. I covered the white flowers on the card with Resplendence Angel Dust Glitter. This glitter is super fine for a fabulous iridescent shimmer. I added a Jeweled Inspiration to the center of my bow for a final pop of bling.

Thanks for stopping by today!

An Easy Birthday Card with the FB Challenge

Hi CIP friends!  I have a card for you today that I've made following the CIP sketch challenge on the FB page.  The paints are used on the heart, the die cut shape, the flower centers, and a touch on the sentiment.  Each of these items can be found in the Creative Inspirations Paint store. (the sentiment is A Word For You by SU)

Altered Large Clothespins

Good morning crafty friends!

I hope you had a wonderful Easter with your family and friends!!  I had such a blast with the kids!!

Anyway, on to today's post!

I am so excited to share this post with you!!  I'll be giving you a sneak peek of a NEW product you will be able to order soon!!

YAY!!

During a recent shopping trip with my friend I found these large clothespins, that I thought would be fun to alter with Creative Inspiration Paints!!  My kids love crafting with me and well our fridge can only hold so much, plus I love having some of their art work in my craft room, so I thought these would be fun to hold a few of their little things they've created for me.  And I could keep them right on my craft table to see at all times.

For the pink one, I used Blush as the main color!  And then used bubble wrap to create the fun texture with Plum!
I really like how it turned out, especially with the added Crinkle Ribbon, flowers and gems!!

The sparkle is beautiful!!

For the blue one I used Turquoise! My son's favorite color!

I wasn't sure how to decorate his, as I didn't want to make it too girly!

So I decided to add some Crinkle Ribbon along with a charm I created!

I cut out a tiny circle on my Cricut and then stamped the tiny "smile" sentiment, as I thought it would be perfect, since their artwork always makes me smile!!

I set the circle into the charm and then used our NEW product to finish it up!! ;)
So that's a sneak peek for you!!

Oh so exciting!!!

This is the first thing I created with it and I loved it!!  Took a little experimenting, but was so fun!!

Close-up of the shimmer and the Metallic Inspirations in Matt Blue that I used.

And lastly a look at them displaying some of their little art work:

We sure hope you are excited about the new product being released, we think you will have a fun time using it and can't wait to see what all of you will do with it!!

Our current challenge is Anything Goes, join in we'd love to see what you create!

Have a shimmery day!!
