Shimmery Butterfly

Hello sweet friends!

Kendra from Luv 2 Scrap here today to share a fun Butterfly card I recently made!

I used the Parchment Craft Technique to create the butterfly on this card.

I then fussy cut some of the sections, so you could see the paper underneath.
And as you probably have guessed by now....I used some of my shimmery paints in the other sections!!

On the butterfly, I used Mint, Turquoise and Lavender!

I also added a few die cut flowers and leaf flourish....
that I also added some shimmer to!  I used Light Purple on the the flowers and Green Olive on the leaf flourish!

Shimmery Washi Tape

I am so excited to share my post with you today!

I've decided to create my own
Shimmery Washi Tape!!

Supplies:
Stamps
White Medical Tape
Inks
Wax Paper
Paint Brush (optional)
Embossing Powder

Start by placing a few pieces of tape on some wax paper and then using a paint brush, paint some shimmery paint on the tape!

Next use the background stamp or other stamp of your choice to add a pattern to your "faux" washi tape!

I then cut the "washi tape" in half, to make it a little smaller and created my card!

Close-up:
The shimmery washi tape is so pretty!!

I used CI Paint Fuchsia, Plum and Tutu Pink.

For the bottom two pieces I embossed the stamped images with Deliquesce Fine White embossing powder!

It was so much fun creating my own washi tape!!

Have a shimmery day!!

Fun Layout

Hello Everyone!!

It's Kendra from Luv 2 Scrap N' Make Cards, wanting to share a fun layout I recently created for my son's album.

The chipboard arrow on the top of the page was covered with Denium Creative Inspirations Paint.
After it dried I used a dot stamp and some Versamark ink to add the dots and embossed with Deliquesce Fine White Embossing Powder.

I just love how it turned out and kind of helps the eye lead you to my son in the picture!!

The heart was also a chipboard piece I covered with polka dot paper.  I used a pencil to dip the eraser end in Fairy Dust Creative Inspirations Paint and then dabbed it on the polka dots on the to give them shimmer as well as a little texture.
Lastly I used a glue pen to trace the "Love" sentiment and add Resplendence Angel Dust Glitter!

I just love my shimmery paints and other CI Products!!

Have a wonderful day!

Just a quick way to add some beautiful shimmer to a card, by using the paint to alter your twine!

I created this fun rainbow card using some twine:

I then finished it off my adding some Creative Inspirations Paint in Fairy Dust to give the finished rainbow some shimmer!!
It's so easy and fun to use the paints to add such a nice finished touch to any project!!

Altered Large Clothespins

Good morning crafty friends!

I hope you had a wonderful Easter with your family and friends!!  I had such a blast with the kids!!

Anyway, on to today's post!

I am so excited to share this post with you!!  I'll be giving you a sneak peek of a NEW product you will be able to order soon!!

YAY!!

During a recent shopping trip with my friend I found these large clothespins, that I thought would be fun to alter with Creative Inspiration Paints!!  My kids love crafting with me and well our fridge can only hold so much, plus I love having some of their art work in my craft room, so I thought these would be fun to hold a few of their little things they've created for me.  And I could keep them right on my craft table to see at all times.

For the pink one, I used Blush as the main color!  And then used bubble wrap to create the fun texture with Plum!
I really like how it turned out, especially with the added Crinkle Ribbon, flowers and gems!!

The sparkle is beautiful!!

For the blue one I used Turquoise! My son's favorite color!

I wasn't sure how to decorate his, as I didn't want to make it too girly!

So I decided to add some Crinkle Ribbon along with a charm I created!

I cut out a tiny circle on my Cricut and then stamped the tiny "smile" sentiment, as I thought it would be perfect, since their artwork always makes me smile!!

I set the circle into the charm and then used our NEW product to finish it up!! ;)
So that's a sneak peek for you!!

Oh so exciting!!!

This is the first thing I created with it and I loved it!!  Took a little experimenting, but was so fun!!

Close-up of the shimmer and the Metallic Inspirations in Matt Blue that I used.

And lastly a look at them displaying some of their little art work:

We sure hope you are excited about the new product being released, we think you will have a fun time using it and can't wait to see what all of you will do with it!!

Our current challenge is Anything Goes, join in we'd love to see what you create!

Have a shimmery day!!

I added Tutu Pink to the pink columns, Resplendence Angel Dust Glitter to the hears and Silver Frost shimmer to a few of the squares on the roof of the castle!

A close-up of the pink shimmery dress, in which I used Tutu Pink:

On the heart die cut borders I used Pink Highlights to give them a little shimmer:

And lastly some add Resplendence Angel Dust Glitter to parts of the crown:

Hair Tie

I am so excited to share my project with you today!

This past fall, we teamed up with 3 Girl Jam and were exposed to their lovely Crinkle Ribbon.  I was asked to Guest Design for them today and thought I would once again combine their Crinkle Ribbon with our lovely shimmery Paints!!

Here's the hair tie I created:

I used Tutu Pink on the Baby Girl Crinkle Ribbon and Fairy Dust on the Lipstick Pink Crinkle Ribbon.

So I started by adding the paint into a zip-lock bag and then the ribbon, trying to cover all of the ribbon.

I then removed the ribbon and left it dry in  a little ball.  The paint makes the ribbon harder and also helps so that the ends of the ribbon don't fray! (Make sure to let to ribbon dry completely or it may rip when tying it to the hair band - happened to me as I was anxious to finish the hair tie!))

In progress look:

I finished it off by randomly add some Clear Jeweled Inspirations.

In my daughter's hair, it shimmers so much!
When I gave it to my daughter the look on her face was PRICELESS!  She was so excited and in her words she just "LOVED the diamonds I added to it!!"

My adorable model:

Have a shimmery day!!

Quick Holiday Cards

With the holidays right around the corner, I've decided to create some quick holiday cards using some CI Products!

Yes, I am still making cards!!  My mom has decided to give out some of my handmade cards this year, so I've had to create a few more than expected!

Anyway, I created these fun, quick and easy cards:

On the next two cards, I stamped the ornament image with VersaMark and then embossed them with  Deliquesce Super Sparkle Red and Deliquesce Super Sparkle Gold!

Holiday ornaments aren't complete without a little sparkle!! :)  These embossing powders are perfect to add that perfect touch of sparkle!

And as if they weren't sparkly enough, I decided to add some shimmer as well!!

I used CI Paint Gold in some of the white spaces on two of the ornaments to add shimmer!  I also used Winter Frost on the branches!

I also add some Jeweled Inspirations Clear SS20 to the tops the bow!

Close-up of one of the ornaments:

I have two more to share with you!.....These two were inspired by my Christmas tree! :)

Our Christmas tree, is very colorful and full of a ton of ornaments!!

On these two I just used CI Paint Fairy Dust to add shimmer to the ornaments!

Close-up of one of them:

Pretty simple, yet I think fun and elegant!!

Have a wonderful day!!

I honestly, just have really gotten into making tags this year, they are so easy and fun to make!

I recently created this wine tag to go on a bottle of wine I am bringing to my mother-in-law's house for Christmas!

I added some Fairy Dust to the Poinsettia, to give it some beautiful shimmer!

Just LOVE the shimmer!!
