Christmas Wishes Card

How about a fun Christmas card with leaves? I have been in Christmas mode since the beginning of last month and having so much fun creating Christmas cards. I took out couple paints and decorated the card for today's project. If you want to see how this card is put together in person make sure to check out the video below!

I wanted to add lots of textures for today's card. So I embossed the 1st layer cardstock with woodgrain embossing folder and crumbled the die cut leaves to give more depth. Don't they look cool? I love how our CI paints give touch of shine when painted. Crumbled areas also hold more paint so they look darker than the smooth area, giving more interest to the project.

I hope you enjoy today's tutorial! Thanks for stopping by!

A Stamped Flowered Background with CI Paints

Hi there! Emily here with a card I made using a couple of my favorite colors of Creative Inspirations Paints and a beautiful stamp by LaBlanche.

To get my background effect was super easy. I stamped my image all over my cardstock in Blush, and then re-stamped it over the Blush in Buttercup.  The achieved effect is slightly raised, and very shimmery!

I embossed my sentiment using Black Deliquesce embossing powder. Since the background I created is so busy, I wanted the remainder of the card to stay clean and simple, which is why I kept it pretty basic. All I needed was my die cutting machine for the scalloped circles, a pink mat and some ric rak . :)

You can kind of see the shimmer... but you can really see how the images are slightly raised. It's nice to get that texture.

Here are the colors I used again, just to recap:

I hope you've found some inspiration with my card today! Have a wonderful day!

Inspired By: Autumn Colors - Happy Fall Card

Hi CIP fans! Dana here today sharing a fall themed card for the Autumn Colors Challenge this week. I love patterned paper, so I chose a pretty leaf print and highlighted the design with several colors of Creative Inspirations paint.

I used Burnt Clay, Chocolate, Copper, Emerald, Rustic Red and Sunshine paint to help some of the leaves shine. I added some Clear Jeweled Inspirations for a little extra sparkle.

I made a pair of resin leaves with the NEW Resinesence and then painted them with Raw Sienna and Rustic Red paint.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Rainy Day Girl

I recently was at a local scrapbooking store that I will be teaching at this month, and the owner, Bridget gave me some fun goodies to play, including some great vintage images printed on transparency film. One of the sheets were these little girls, which I now call my rainy day girls. :)

CI Paints are perfect for coloring theimages. In order to color them, I flipped them over and colored the reverse side. After I colored the areas I wanted colored, I used a fixative to seal the colors on the transparency so they wouldn't smear when adhering or adding more color.

The umbrella was colored with Garnet and I used Canary on the girl's dress, after I first used a Faber-Castell Big Brush marker in yellow on it. The Canary added lighter highlights to the dress for a more realistic look.

The rest of the colors were either Faber-Castell Gelato's or Big Brush Pen's. The ribbon I chose was not as bright as I wanted, so I used more Canary paint on it. It pulled the yellow in the dress out more.

I felt like the red cardstock I used to frame the transparency and base of the card needed a little more, so I used some Garnet on the edges. The jewels are Siam Jeweled Inspirations. I am completely addicted to the Jeweled Inspirations... did you know they already have adhesive on the backs of them? All it takes is some added heat, which I do with my heat gun, and they are adhered! Just make sure to hold them down with something... I use a pencil, tweezers or handle of a paint brush.

Inspired By: Back To School

Hi CIP fans! Dana here today sharing a card for the Inspired By: Back to School challenge theme this week. I layered several patterned papers that reminded me of my own school days onto the base of my card. I used the Genuinely Jane Stamp by 100 Proof Press with some Onyx paint to add the image of the girl to my card.

I stamped onto a vintage book page and the text from the other side of the page acted as an embossed resist. I'm quite happy with that little surprise! The Onyx paint adds a fantastic subtle shimmer to the image. I finished off my card with a bright yellow bow.

Ribbon and Bling Birthday Card

Hi CIP fans! Dana here today sharing a small card for the "Ribbon and Bling" Challenge theme this week. One of my favorite features about Creative Inspirations paints and glitters, is the subtle shimmer. I love that I'm able to create colorful projects with an elegant finish.

I dyed the seam binding with Turquoise Paint. I covered the white flowers on the card with Resplendence Angel Dust Glitter. This glitter is super fine for a fabulous iridescent shimmer. I added a Jeweled Inspiration to the center of my bow for a final pop of bling.

You Make My Heart Sing

Hello friends! Today I have an Artist Trading Card I created using some of my favorite Deliquesce embossing powders from Creative Inspirations Paint!

I must admit, until this year, I had NEVER embossed anything! I owned an embossing gun and a couple of powders, but had never used them! Now I absolutely love embossing whenever I can!!!

Making this was super simple. Using some Coal paint, my Gelli Plate and bubble wrap, I created the background of the card. I used Versamark embossing ink and a stencil for the sentiment and embossed some Deliquesce Super Sparkle Red over it. It really sparkles!

I cut the heart out of some packaging and primed it with white gesso. Using my Versamark pad again, I stamped the musical notes and embossed using Deliquesce in Fine Black. I used some Garnet paint on the edges of the heart and also to color the smaller heart inside.

Here are some close ups of the heart and sentiment... check out that shimmer and sparkle!

I hope you've enjoyed my card today, and that you all have had a fantastic Memorial Day weekend! Remember that our Inspired By: Anything Goes Challenge is still going on this week!! Get your entries in!!

Before I say goodbye, here is a recap of the paints and powders I used:

Have a great day!!!

You're a Star!!!

Hello friends! I'm so happy to be back on the blog today to share a card I made using a stencil, chipboard, distress ink and some Creative Inspirations Paint and Embossing Powder.

Using a Crafters Workshop stencil and a mixture of Denium and Onyx CI Paints, I stippled the design on my white cardstock. After the paints dried I went over them using a Distress Ink pad. This is very similar to the marbling technique using the CI Paints.
I painted some UmWow star chipboard with Antique Silver and then embossed a gear design on it using Deliquesce Platinum embossing powder with my Versamark embossing ink pad and a gear stamp.  The Platinum embossing powder looks great in contrast to the Antique Silver Paint.

Here are some other views of the card... you can see the shimmer of the embossing powder and the paints.

And a recap of the paints/powder used on my card:

These colors look so great together... I'm thinking about making a canvas using these. I'd say a night sky theme would be good! ;)

I'll see you soon! Have a great day!

A Marbled Card using CI Paints

Hello again friends! Emily here with another card to share with you that I made using some Creative Inspirations Paints. For today's card I used a marbling technique that our tutorial queen, Kassi shared with us. I am in LOVE with this technique!

Here is the original video:

Here is the final card...

For my card and the marbling, I used Autumn Wheat and Carmel CI Paints with some Vintage Photo Distress Stain. You can also use the Vintage Photo Distress Ink if you don't have the stains. Kassi uses Distress Ink in her tutorial video. I love the final result you get with this technique! It looks so good!

Here are some close ups of the card...

I embossed the sentiment with Deliquesce Metallic Copper embossing powder. It really went well together with the other paints used in the card. I added some Beige and Antique Copper paints to some Prima flowers for added color.

Below are the CI Paints and products used....

I hope you've enjoyed my projects the past two days! I will see you on Monday with another project!!
