Altered Large Clothespins

Good morning crafty friends!

I hope you had a wonderful Easter with your family and friends!!  I had such a blast with the kids!!

Anyway, on to today's post!

I am so excited to share this post with you!!  I'll be giving you a sneak peek of a NEW product you will be able to order soon!!

YAY!!

During a recent shopping trip with my friend I found these large clothespins, that I thought would be fun to alter with Creative Inspiration Paints!!  My kids love crafting with me and well our fridge can only hold so much, plus I love having some of their art work in my craft room, so I thought these would be fun to hold a few of their little things they've created for me.  And I could keep them right on my craft table to see at all times.

For the pink one, I used Blush as the main color!  And then used bubble wrap to create the fun texture with Plum!
I really like how it turned out, especially with the added Crinkle Ribbon, flowers and gems!!

The sparkle is beautiful!!

For the blue one I used Turquoise! My son's favorite color!

I wasn't sure how to decorate his, as I didn't want to make it too girly!

So I decided to add some Crinkle Ribbon along with a charm I created!

I cut out a tiny circle on my Cricut and then stamped the tiny "smile" sentiment, as I thought it would be perfect, since their artwork always makes me smile!!

I set the circle into the charm and then used our NEW product to finish it up!! ;)
So that's a sneak peek for you!!

Oh so exciting!!!

This is the first thing I created with it and I loved it!!  Took a little experimenting, but was so fun!!

Close-up of the shimmer and the Metallic Inspirations in Matt Blue that I used.

And lastly a look at them displaying some of their little art work:

We sure hope you are excited about the new product being released, we think you will have a fun time using it and can't wait to see what all of you will do with it!!

Our current challenge is Anything Goes, join in we'd love to see what you create!

Have a shimmery day!!

Full of Blessings

There is definitely a lot of CI paint on my card today. I thought I would try the watercolor whimsy technique from the current Technique Junkies newsletter. The art panel on my card is vellum. I painted the back with denium, spring green, and plum. The shimmer of the paints doesn't show through the vellum very much, but the colors are so deep and rich; they worked beautifully for the back. On the front I first used rose quartz, sage, mocha latte, and sky blue with a Crafters Workshop stencil. I then used a Cornish Heritage Farms background stamp stamped in black and highlighted with a white pen. The sentiment is from Artistic Outpost and is framed with a Spellbinders die cut. The flower is cut from fabric using a Tim Holtz die and was painted with rose quartz and spring green CI paint. The shimmer of the paint against the deep background is wonderful.

ATC's

Happy Tuesday! Today I'm sharing some atc's I made. As you know, I like to experiment to see how CI paints work in different situations. This time I pulled out my Gelli Arts plate to monoprint my backgrounds. I knew that regular acrylics made great backgrounds, but I wanted to see if CI paints worked on the Gelli plate and if they kept their shimmer. Well, the answer to both questions is definitely YES. I tried different colors (rustic red, plum, sage, citrus, lavender, and buttercup) alone and in combination. After coloring the backgrounds, I went over them with distress stains. I just love how they turned out. The shimmer makes for a gorgeous background. With a few exceptions, all of the stamps, embellishments, and die cuts, and word stickers are from one of Tim Holtz's lines. The cat image is from Stampa Rosa and the sentiment is from Club Scrap. The "Be Happy" sentiment is from a Spellbinders die.

Angel Card

The beautiful stamp set 'Lace, Take One Step' (JS342) was painted using Creative Inspiration Paints in Amethyst, and Plum.  The angel wings were covered using Helmar's Acid Free Adhesive, then sprinkled with Resplendence Angel Dust. The Angel Dust is amazing, such glorious shimmer!  I was going to add some of the Angel Dust across the flowers, but wanted the 'wings' to really stand out.

The roses/flowers were painted with Silver Frost just on the edges, and the bottom petals, and the foliage too.  No matter what the colour the Silver Frost is painted over, it gives a glorious shimmer, and I adore the way the flowers shine.

Resplendence Angel Dust upon angel wings

I added tiny glass lilac seed beads to the lace using Gemstone Glue. In the right light, they shine, especially with the beautiful Amethyst and Plum CIP's - I will be definitely be playing around with more beads in the near future.
Supplies:
Creative Inspiration Paints: Silver Frost, Amethyst, Plum and Resplendence Angel Dust
American Craft Cardstock
Flowers: I am Roses
Martha Stewart Punch
Helmar: Acid Free, Premium, 450 Quick Dry, and Gemstone Adhesives
Braid, Hand-Dyed Silk Ribbon & Lace

Angels

Since the theme this week is inspired by Mother's Day, what better to show than a family card. These Stampotique angels make a wonderful family grouping.
I really wanted to show this card on the CI blog because it demonstrates one of my favorite things about CI paints, besides the color and shimmer of course. I love that you can see what you stamped through the colors and yet the colors are strong. You can paint over black ink and get a great color. Colors used on my card include sunshine yellow, gold, plum, royal blue, onyx, garnet, burnt sienna, autumn wheat, and blue ice.

You Can Count On Me

Hi, it's Anita, and this is my first post as a member of this fabulous DT.  I'm using a digital stamp from Whimsie Doodles and thought it would be perfect with the Creative Inspirations Paints.

I colored the image with copics and colored pencils.  I wanted lots of shimmer on the lollipop so I painted it with Tutu Pink.  I used Tutu Pink on the little heart on her dress, Plum on the button, and Fairy Dust on the dress ruffle.  These paints are so much fun ... I love to add sparkle to my cards and these Creative Inspirations Paints do just that.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Hugs, Anita

CI paints for different styles - Kianel

Hello dear Creative Inspirations paints lovers,
Kianel here with you today showing you a card i made as a challenge for myself: i.e. use a complete different style from mine with colors i don't usually use and here is the result:
The papers are from Color core and Basic Grey. The dies are from Cheery Lynn designs. All embellishments and lace are from a french online store and the stamp is a Make it crafty.

And here some details of the colouring with distress inks and Creative Inspirations paints: emerald, sage and evergreen on the wings and part of the boots. Plum and amathyst for the dress and onyx for the boots. Okay i admit it doesn't show that well on the pictures because the light is very poor but it really shines out.

And just to show that you can you can use your paints for every style, here is a card i made for the last challenge over at TOMIC which is soooo shabby and sooo different from the first card:

The papers are from Bazzill and Pion designs. The character stamp is from the brand new collection by Magnolia. The sentiment stamp is by Whimsy stamp. The dies are fom Cheery lynn designs and Magnolia. All embellishments are coming from a french online store
To colour the little baby Tilda, i used some distress inks and my beloved Creative Inspirations paints "sage" "emerald" and "winter frost".
That's it for now, i hope you will like the cards and just enjoy your Creative Inspirations paints with 59 different colors to play with and even embossing powders and glitters!
And don't forget to come and join our weekly challenge for a chance to win some fabulous paints!
Love from France, Kianel.

Holly Brown: Copper Watering Can

Hey folks! It's Holly posting today. Did you enjoy the special blog hop that we had this weekend for Creative Inspirations Paints and Great Impressions? That was so much fun and there was so much creative eye candy to drool over!

I'm playing with another stamp from Great Impressions called Watering Can Bouquet (G302). I stamped this with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored it in with a bunch of Creative Inspirations Paints.

Isn't that a great stamp? I decided to go bold and summery with my colors, but you could take this in any direction. Pastels for spring, warm fall colors, or even a monochromatic theme would be wonderful with this stamp. I used the Torn Frames technique from Technique Junkies and some bright summer-y papers from Echo Park.

The paint colors I used are:
Antique Copper (watering can)
Green Olive
Mango
Emerald
Plum
Blush
Amethyst
Chocolate
Buttercup

Isn't that Antique Copper just gorgeous?? You can see the shimmer below:

Thanks for looking! I hope you have a wonderful day!

My Initial Idea was...

Initial Idea?
OK,Dawn here today with a Creative Inspirations Paint project today using Initials!
These two letters were in my stash from clearance purchases and always meant for my daughter.
I used

and  Resplendence Angel Dust
Have you seen all the new glitters and embossing powders? I am so addicted to this  Angel Dust.
Let me share a couple pictures.
This is how the letters came-just that plain white wood.
I painted the letters with the Plum- it looks so different in person and my pictures.
I decided to add some trim from my stash on the sides and a fluffy bow in the middle.
Here is a blurry picture(SORRY) of all the sparkle- but it shows you how sparkly this glitter really is.
