Can you believe it’s the 18^th already?  

Where has August gone?!

The end of September brings the end of another term here at Creative Inspirations, kind of a bittersweet time, especially since we have a few girls stepping down!

So we will be looking to add a few new Design Team Members to our lovely shimmery group!

If you are interested, please read over some minor details:

What is expected of the DT members:

*Commitment of 6 months (October-March).

*1 blog post with completed project twice a month on your assigned day.

* Optional Blog Hops/.

*Be able to take quality photographs or scans of projects.

*Support fellow teammates and customers who share their work by leaving comments.

*Be a positive team player.

*Promote CI on your personal blog, message boards, and wherever else you can!

What you get:

*A CIDT badge for your blog.

*Your personal blog link on the store blog.

*A fantastic collection of CI paints to design with.

*You keep all projects you make.

*The chance to show your creativity and have fun!

Here is what you need to do... send an email with the following information to ci.shimmer.paint (at) gmail (dot) com by Sept. 1 at midnight MST. All applicants will receive an email acknowledging we got your application. Joining DT will be contacted around Sept. 8^th and with an announcement on our blog on Sept. 28^th.

1.     Your name, mailing address, and email.

2.     A link to your personal blog, and any online galleries.

3.     List of all current DT obligations, as well as past teams you have been on. (Although no DT experience is required.)

4.     A little about you and your personal crafting style.

5.     Why you think you would be a good fit for the team.

6.     Pictures of 3 projects that best show your creativity and style.

Pumpkin Patch: Inspired by Pumpkins Challenge

Here in Iowa, there's been some frost on the pumpkins!  This morning it was 25 degrees and a little too chilly for my bones!  This kind of weather makes me long for warm apple cider or a cup of hot cocoa.  If you've been waking up to a chill in the air, what's your favorite way to warm up?  Warm drinks, a snuggly sweatshirt or maybe a fire crackling in the fireplace.
I removed a small plastic pumpkin from some garland and painted it with Creative Inspirations Copper Paint.  I added a dowel to the center and placed a Vintage image at the top.  So simple, yet festive.

One of these things is not like the others: Inspired by being different!

This week, the challenge  is “One of these things is not like the others.”  Inspired by being different.  I chose to alter a few bottles and fill them with Halloween Potions!  I’ve used Burnt Clay, Raw Sienna and Coal to decorate my jars.  I thought it would be fun just to drizzle a bit of the Coal inside the bottle that holds bones.  The Burnt Clay and Raw Sienna have some water added.  Can you tell which is different??  Hope you get a chance to join in on a fun challenge :)

So, at the beginning of October, we will be starting the new term with our DT... and guess what? We need more people! Yup, you read that right.... we are looking for new DT members. So, here all the details...
