MOJO SNOWFLAKES...

TWO POSTS TODAY! Yes, I am behind with my MOJO post, but I just had time to do it last night! Scroll down for the BLOGGERS CHALLENGE post! My 7 yo old sweetie made a card too, but she needs to finish it, so I will add that this weekend some time. It is snowing today, so she is outside playing in the snow on recess!

This week's MOJO Sketch has a contest! The Prize: This is a judged contest, so my two favorite entries will each win their choice of any Verve Stamps set (up to $24)!The winners will be announced on Wednesday, January 14.
Here is my entry... I used my design SNOWFLAKES available at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps.
I stamped the focal image in Brilliant Blue and cut around it adding the Purple Stickles to the pattern.
To make the background on the nestibilities...would you like a picture tutorial? It really was quite fun! I cut out the Labels One die, then I cut a mat out using a smaller Pinking Circle (Nestabilities). I sponged using a sponge dauber with Almost Amethyst (the lightest color of ink I used on this project). Then I cut a little bit larger mat with scrap paper and matted my image, sponging with a different sponge with Brilliant Blue Ink. One I had that completed, I grabbed another sponge and sponged all of the edges of the Labels One Die with Lovely Lilac ink. If you are like me, and want a visual! Let me know!
Here are a few more details:
Stamp Set: Snowflakes by ME!
Cardstock: Almost Amethyst, Lovely Lilac, Brilliant Blue, Whisper White
Ink: Same, Craft White
Accessories: Nestibilities (Labels One, Small Pinking Circles), Big Shot (LOVE THIS!), Branch Punch, BLING Adhesive Gems, Dimensionals, Paper Piercing Tool, Mat Pack, Snowflake Brads, Rounded Tab Punch
Thank you for looking! Have a fabulous Day!

BANDANA SNOWFLAKES

I have fallen in love with a new technique from Technique Junkies. It is called the BANDANA TECHNIQUE. After playing with it yesterday, (see this POST) I had to play some more! I immediately envisioned it with my Snowflakes stamp set, but the black intimidated me until I played with another stamp set first.

I used Color Box inks and sponge daubers to create this background. I also used Paper Craft Planet's Sketch Challenge as my inspiration for a lay out.

Here are the materials I used to create this card:
Stamp Set: Snowflakes at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps
Cardstock: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Vellum
Ink: Colorbox Inks, Basic Black,
Accessories: Dew Drops, Scallop Punch, Sponge daubers, Big Shot Snowflake Die, Dazzling Diamonds, 2 way Glue Pen, White Gel Pen, Night of Navy grosgrain

Thank you for looking! Have a fabulous day!

BELLI CHALLENGE #46 WRAPPING PAPER

What is the Belli Challenge you ask?

Each week, I try to give us a challenge that will use things we have lying around our stamp rooms or homes! With a constant flow of new things coming out, I tend to forget about the other things I have and they quickly become clutter!

This weeks, Belli Challenge is to make a project using your WRAPPING PAPER. You can make ANYTHING you wish AND combine challenges with your WRAPPING PAPER and it doesn't even have to be CHRISTMAS! Grab any of your wrapping paper and use it up! Perfect for those left over scraps you have!

Here is what you need to do...
1. Anyone Can Play! Spread the Word! :)
2. Make a completed project with ANY WRAPPING PAPER. Share the link here in the comments linking to my Blog and CBC46. When you post to Splitcoaststampers or to your Blog, be sure and put CBC46 as the KEYWORD and mention of the challenge - with a link!
3. I will do a drawing and the person whose name I draw will get an assortment of Designer Papers!
4. You can have an extra opportunity to win from Lorie Ames if you link your creation here on my Blog AND on Lorie's Blog!

Last week's winner was LUVLEE - check her beautiful project out HERE.
Be on the look out for her to be featured here!

Can you tell what part of my project is wrapping paper? well, I will let you know... It is the Snowman all the way through the square and blue - The wrapping paper matched Pacific Point PERFECTLY!

Here is a few more details for this project:

Before you go, I will leave you with a cute poem someone sent me this week, my husband has no sense of humor and did not laugh at this. LOL I thought it was funny, although I did not totally agree with it. ;)

'Twas the night before Christmas,
I'm glued to the tree.
I'm wondering what Santa brought just for me.
Could it be cardstock or chipboard or lace?
"Or a Cricut," I said, with a smile on my face.
And that's when I heard him, "Hi Santa!" I said.
"You know....good little girls should be in their beds."
"I know I should Santa, and now I've got caught.
But I was just so excited to see what you brought."
"Well, let's take a look in this room where you work."
He shook his head quickly, and left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim as he put it in gear...
"You've got enough stuff, I'll see you next year!"
Keep Smiling!
Thank you for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!

CBCC #19 - SKETCHY SNOWFLAKES

This is me and my sweetie Grace. Out of all of my children, she is the one who is most like me. :) Adam was trying to get the camera centered for our family picture - so we "posed" for him. I thought I had my eyes crossed. I guess I don't do a very good job at crossing my eyes. LOL

This week's Tuesday Challenge from Courtney is a sketch challenge. I had a pile of chipboard snowflakes laying on my desk and this paper jumped into my hand as I bent over to look at my DP - so I HAD to use my Snowflake stamp set!

We are supposed to get snow today! I am so excited. I really LOVE snow! For me, there is nothing better than to be home and have a snow storm!!! I can be all snuggley, knowing that I get to just relax and enjoy the beauty of the weather. The past 2 snow "storms" we were supposed to have ended up being only rain - so I was a bit disappointed.

I used WHITE Craft Ink and Embossed White EP first, then sprinkled Hologram Highlights to make the big snowflake sparkly.

Here are a few more details:
Stamp Set: Snowflakes by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps
Cardstock: Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Basic Black
Accessories: Build a Brads, Tim Holtz Ruler, Chipboard, White EP, Hologram Highlights EP, Cropodile

Be sure to check out the other Challenge Chick's projects. I always enjoy seeing their creations!

A few Christmas Gifts...

I purchased these FABULOUS gift bags in bulk with some girlfriends, so I am sorry I am not sure where to let you know to buy them. (I will try to find out) These bags are FABULOUS! They have a nice lining in them and the window is perfect to show case your goodies.

I filled these with fudge and cookies for my neices and nephews. They are all in their late teens
and mainly want expensive items that don't quite fit into my budget, so my sister decided to cut expenses and not exchange this year, but I had to do something so decided to bake for them and make an ornament! I know the ornament won't "THRILL" them, but the junk food will! LOL

I used my Snowflakes Stamp Set by Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps and the Chipboard and Designer Paper is from Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps. The ornaments are ones I made for the Bloggers Challenge on yesterdays post!

Today, I am celebrating Christmas with my family! I hope you are enjoying the Christmas Season! Merry Christmas! Have a blessed day!

BLOGGERS CHALLENGE #76 - Bashful Blue, Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango, Close to Cocoa

Season Greetings! I made this card with TWO sets that I designed for this weeks challenge. (The Snowflakes stamp set AND the Winter at Home stamp set) This week's Bloggers Challenge is a color challenge! We are to use the colros Bashful Blue, Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango and Close to Cocoa along with our choice of vanilla or white - well SU's DP Ski Slope lends itself right into this challenge, doesn't it? In fact, I would venture to bet that MANYof the challenge participants have used this DP! Now watch, I will go look and only a small handful will have used it. LOL That will show me, eh?

I also couldn't resist using the Technique Junkies newsletter for the "technique" of this card. They have a whole series of "frame tutorials." I used the one featured by Kathy McGuire called Torn Frames.

Here is a close up of the image! Do you see the sparkle on the FELT SNOWFLAKES? Well a quick FYI - I used Dazzling Diamonds along with my 2 way glue pen to get it to sparkle. It is VERY messy and I sparkle from head to toe now and it isn't my personality! LOL (well maybe it is? lol)

Here are the details on this project:
Stamp Sets: Snowflake and Winter at Home (my designs) at Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps
Cardstock: Close to Cocoa, bashful Blue, Whisper White, Ski Slope DP
Ink: Black Brilliance, Copics
Accessories: Buttons - holiday ones from Hobby Lobby, Soft Subtle, Mini Glue Dots, 2 way glue pens, Dazzling Diamonds, Felt Snowflakes, Glue Dots, Craft Knife, Distressing Tool

Thank you for stopping by! Have a fabulous day!
