BELLI CHALLENGE #69 TEXTURE -

Hello! Today, I am writing you from NEW YORK instead of WISCONSIN. The kids and I took a trip out to visit my friend Janette. My husband was supposed to travel for work, but they ended up cancelling his trip and he wanted to stay home with no children. So he is there enjoying the peace and quiet! :)

This week's Belli Challenge is to use texture on your cards or projects. What kind of texture? Anything that you can "feel" on your card - Magic Mesh, flocking, Flower Soft, velvet, or even hammered metal.

Look around in your stash of stamping stuff, and I'm sure you will find something you can use.

The Belli Girls did a great job of adding texture to their cards. Some used Flower Soft, some used flocking, one used a paper with velvet on it, and one used a metallic mesh on the background of her card. Too cool! Check them out at http://www.bellichallenge.blogspot.com/

Here is my card, my friend Janette is on the Design Team for HIGH HOPES, so I played with some of her stamps. I bought some flower soft and played a bit with it too.

CPS SKETCH AND COPIC COLOUR CHALLENGE

Hello! This week Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps is sponsoring the CPS Sketch Challenges...
Have you ever had an Ah-Ha Moment? I have been reading the book pf Proverbs to my children and yesterday we were reading in Proverbs 4-6 and what spoke to my heart yesterday was the following verse...
Proverbs 6:1-5 My son, if you become surety (indebted to or in hock) for your friend, If you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger, 2 You are snared by the words of your mouth; You are taken by the words of your mouth. 3 So do this, my son, and deliver yourself; For you have come into the hand of your friend: Go and humble yourself; Plead with your friend. 4 Give no sleep to your eyes, Nor slumber to your eyelids. 5 Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, And like a bird from the hand of the fowler."
What did I get out of this Scripture? The past few months, I have been wanting to join Design Teams and have made a commitment to a few different ones - the Copic Colour Design Team and this past week to Kimm Bt Thompsons Copic Design Team. These two groups of Designers are so talented, who wouldn't want to be amongst their group?
While I made a commitment to them, the past few weeks with school happening, joining the Technique Junkies Design Team - thinking I can do it all. Well, I can't and it is affecting my desire to WANT to stamp. It has become stressful rather than JOYFUL. I made a mistake and over-committed myself, so I had to humble myself and step down from a few things. So this week will be the last time you will see a "regular posting" on the Copic Colour Challenge. I will still participate but it will not be as a Design Team member.
I want to do my best in everything I do, for God's glory and I have been failing in that area for the past few weeks.

NEW CHALLENGE!!! MONDAY MAIL CALL!!!
I came up with this challenge for ME. LOL Honestly, I have to say I am GUILTY of making ALL of these cards, and RARELY mailing them out! How horrible is that! There is this GAPING BLACK HOLE between my office and the mail box! So my NEW CHALLENGE is going to be to MAIL CARDS!
My goal for today is to mail out 4 cards! I have no birthdays this week, but I do have 2 sympathy cards, a Get Well soon card and a RAK. If I have time, I may even really stretch myself and send out 2 extra RAKS! It really doesn't take long, so why do I have this stumbling block!? LOL
I hope you have a wonderful week! Thank you for stopping by and commenting!
Share with me the links to things you create! I would LOVE to see them!!!
