A Picture's Worth A Thousand Words

Or so they say!  This one is worth one, hope.  As in hope you're having a great week, or whatever it is you're hoping for today.

I made this card for Sassy Cheryl's current Black & White Photo Look challenge. I used Better Than A Thousand Words from the Sassy Sally collection because I love this image and I thought it would look great as a black & white picture.  I used my photo editing program to give it the feel of an old picture and then colored the image using C1, C3 and C7 of my Copics.  I love the simplicity of this card but I really had to resist the urge to gussy it up and add a pop of color. All in all, I think I like it just the way it is!

I'm off to do some more creating.  I have a little more than a week left before school starts back up and I have to head back to work.  I want to squeeze in as much craftiness as I can.

Until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  TTFN

Keeping it Clean And Simple-Catch The Bug

Good morning Bugaboo fans!  It's Saturday and you know what that means?!  It's challenge time at Catch The Bug and have we got a challenge for you?!!!  Well......um...er...............it may not be as challenging for you as it was for me.

We're keeping things clean and simple!!!

This has got to be one  of my favorite styles, yet I struggle with it.  I just want to keep on layering and embellishing.  I envy those crafters who can make those one layer, amazing cards with just the right placement of image and sentiment and you look at them and say, Wow, that looks great!!!   Even my clean and simple has layers.  I just have to reign myself in and stick to maybe one embellishment or a little bit of designer paper.  I usually opt for ribbon which is the case for today's card.

What can be easierr than grabbing an image you have already colored sometime earlier and adding it to an embossed card blank?  That's one of the things that makes this card simple.  I had watercolored this little cutie sometime ago and he was just waiting patiently to be placed. The stitching is faux so that's simple too!  Just a pop of color with ribbon and card stock and a sentiment and I was finished.  Less than five minutes from start to finish.

The  team has been busy and has some really great samples for you too.  You can find them here

We would love for you to join in on the fun and we can't wait to see what you do with our clean and simple challenge.  The best part?!!!!  The chance to win Bugaboo stamps!!!  Two for third, four for second and the big one, seven for first.  You must use a Bugaboo image to be eligible for first prize but feel free to use whatever you want for the other prizes.

Hope you have a great, craft filled weekend!  Until next time, thanks for stopping by!  TTFN

Hugs, Becky
