Shannon's Sentiments challenge

Happy Saturday! It's time for this weeks challenge at Shannon's Sentiments and it's a double challenge. We're using spray mists on our cards an also in honor of Operation Write Home's  Bunny Hop, we're using a spring theme on our cards.
For my card I masked a piece of blue card stock with a Label One nestabilities cut out and sprayed it with frosty nights glimmer mist.  While it was drying I went to work on the flower from Garden Time and watercolored it using yellows and greens.  I also spritzed it lightly with some copper glimmer mist.  After my blue card stock had dried, I added a frame around it and then fussy cut my flower and added it to the top using pop dots.  To finish it off I added sentiment from the Spring Time set, a nice border and bow and a few sticky dots.

I want to say a Big Ol Texas THANK YOU to Shannon for letting me be part of her wonderful design team this month.  I have had the best time working with her beautiful images and participating in the challenges.

Until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  TTFN

Two in one challenge card

Hello again! I hope you are all having a stamptastic day!

It's been okay for a Monday! I got to do the challenge over on SCS. What a great challenge it is, too! Did you know you can make your own Glimmer Mist with a spritzer and a few of the right ingredients? Basically all you need is water, liquid pearl and a reinker. Well, I didn't have liquid pearls but I found out from Shelly at post # 4 that you can substitute rubbing alcohol and pearl ex powder. I used my Real Russet Pearl Ex and love the results. I spritzed it on vanilla card stock and came up with what I thought resembled a sunset. So here is the card that I made with my lovely background. I love this set from Stampin Up and am so glad I got it before it retired.

Recipe
Stamps: Happy Harmony. Paper: Blush Blossom, Vanilla, Mulberry, DP (MME). Inks:
Chocolate Chip. Accessories : Ribbon, Slot Punch, Cuttlebug & flower ef, Real Russet Pearl Ex, Sewing Machine.

This one is a challenge two fer. I used the layout from Taylor's cupcake challenge. I know, there are no cupcakes on this card, but you don't always have to use a cupcake for her challenge. For this image, I also thought it would look better if I turned the sketch on its side.

I'm gonna spend a little time catching up with what's happening with all my blogging buddies before they all disown me and then I really need to work on my sketch card, so I'm outta here. I'll be checking in later! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! TTFN
