Spooky Stuff

Have I said just how much I love Tiddly Inks stamps?!!  Christy's designs are so amazing and she is super sweet!  I recently applied for a design team position for TI but with so many talented card makers applying, I knew it was gonna be a long shot.  While I didn't make the team (there were only six positions open and over 100 applied), I was a Top 15 and that makes me really happy.   I count myself very fortunate to have this honor bestowed upon me.  Not only did Christy give us a fabulous badge to display and be proud of, but she also shared this cute Halloween image, Spell On Ya, with us!  Here's the card I made featuring this wonderful image:

Detail shot!

I opened this file in PNG format and added the cute little kitty from Set Of Kitties!  Every witch needs her black cat!

Until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  TTFN

Lifting Your Spirits

Good morning and welcome to another Tiddly Inks creation.  They are currently having a Design Team call and I was going to submit this  stair step card to be considered, but my daughter said the red on the mushroom was throwing off the design, so I created another card instead.  That's okay!  This card will still be put to good use.  I'm sending it to my sister.  She recently lost someone very dear to her through heart disease and I thought this might lift her spirits.

I chose this image, Wrynn-Fairy Friends, because it's such a sweet image and I think she might put a smile on my sisters face.

I used a combination of Copic markers and Prismacolor pencils to color the image. I love combining coloring mediums, but there is one thing to remember when combining these two.  You need to color with your  Copics first, then your Prismacolors.  You cannot color over the Prismcolors with the Copics.  They are a wax base and will resist the ink.

Y'all have a fabulous day!

Until next time, thanks for stopping by!  TFFN

Imagine

Hello!  I bet you all thought I fell off the face of the earth!  Nope, just took a mini vacation last weekend to surprise my friend for her 50th birhtday!  I get really jet lagged anytime I fly and the fact that we didn't get much sleep the whole weekend didn't help that fact.  I'm all caught up on my sleep and I didn't have to work today, so I headed into my crafty space and made this card for Tiddly Inks current challenge.  The theme is Any Favorite Tiddly Inks.  I have a lot of favorite Tiddly Inks images but I absolutely love Sweet Dreams Wryn so that's the image I chose for my card.

I colored the image using a combo of Copics and Prismacolor pencils.  The card stock I used is Recollections Black and Bazzil's  Blue Swiss Dots.  The designer papers I used are MME Indie Chic (Saffron Birds Batik), Trinity Paper Surf & Swim (Lei) and the paper studio (Black & White).

Other challenges I've entered this card:

Happy Birthday Cupcake

I had a rare Saturday off today so I thought I'd put it to good use so I made a trip to the local scrapbook store (The Scrapper Boutique) to pick up some new papers.  After making my purchase I came home and sat down at my craft table to make a card for this weeks  Tiddly Inks Challenge.  I recently picked up her super cute  Cupcake Bugg image and wanted to ink it up.  Here is the card I made for the challenge.

I colored the image using Copic markers.  I used my Spellbinders Oval and Beaded Oval dies. I also ran the oval beaded piece through my Cuttlebug using my Swiss Dot folder.  I paired the image with this yummy paper from. My Minds Eye Indie Chic collection.  (Nutmeg Rainbow Paper), Recollections chocolate textured and kraft paper.  I made the candles by rolling  2 x1.5 inch pieces of paper up and gluing them closed.  I then used a marker to make the stripes.  For the wick, I just added a small piece of embroidery floss to the centers of them, gluing them in place.  The sentiment was cut using my Cricut and George cart.  Some recollections pearls and a bow on the candles added the finishing touch!

Happy Birthday America! I Baked You A Cake

Happy Fourth Of July!  I hope you all are having a great holiday (those of you who celebrate it)!  I can't wait til night fall to see the fireworks!  I love them!  In honor of the holiday, I've joined in the current Tiddly Inks challenge to make a card using the red, white, and blue theme.  I used Happy Birthday Girl and added the reds and blues to the cake.

I colored the image using Copic markers and fussy cut it.  I placed it on a panel using Happy Days Lollipop Dots paper from My Minds Eye.  To that panel, I added some blue stripe strips and some red stars I cut using my Cricut and George cart.  I also broke out my eyelets for this one and ran baker's twine through the holes.  I placed the whole panel image and all on some Bazzill Basics Phoenix card stock.  This girl is ready to celebrate!

Tiddly Inks In Pink

It's late and I'm up crafting away cause I can't sleep!  My creative mojo just wouldn't let me so here I am with the card I just created!

I've had this image colored for quite some time, but had it sitting in my stash, waiting for just the right moment to use it!  When I checked to see what the current challenge was at Tiddly Inks and saw it was a "pink challenge",  I knew that moment had arrived.  So here she is, Wryn-Grow A Little Love, in all her pinkness!

I used the fabulous sketch that Jen has posted for her current SFYTT, just made a little adjustment with the embellishment.

I colored her using a combo of copics and watercolor pencils.  The circles were cut using my Cricut and Elegant Edges cart.  I then embossed them using my Circle Spellbinder dies.  Do you like how uniform those holes in the back panel are?!  I used the Cricut and Graphically Speaking cart for that one.  It's perfect  for stitching with Baker's Twine.  All it needed was some embossing (Swiss Dots) and just a little  punch more of pink so I added the glittered/colored butterflies (MS punch), some fun ribbon and pink DP (Back To Basics) and this is the finished product.

I think I can go to sleep now!  Y'all have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  TTFN

Let My Love Rain Down

This is my second post today.  For today's Catch The Bug Challenge scroll down.

I've been busy making Valentine's card and I picked up this really cute Tiddly Inks image a couple of weeks ago.  She's so adorable and I love the hearts falling like rain.   I finally got the chance to color her and here she is.  This card is for the current Valentine challenge at Tiddly Inks

She's Catch My Heart and I colored her using Copic markers.  I created the sentiment using Word.  The Designer papers are Doodle Hearts Red from the paper studio and With Love Sweetheart from Pebbles.

Until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Sunny Birthday Card

It's late and I was in a creative mood and wanted to play around with some Tiddly Inks images I had purchased a few weeks back.  They have weekly challenges and I wanted to play along.  Here's a card I made for their current challenge going on  at Tiddly Inks Challenges.  It's a color challenge and I used their Happy Birthday Girl image to make a fun and sunny birthday card.

I colored the image using Copic markers.  The background was created using scraps.  The sentiment was created using Print Shop.

Time for this one to link this up and get to bed or it will be hard for me to get going in the morning.

Until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!  TTFN

X's and O's

Hello my blogging crafty friends!  Happy Tuesday!  I have a Valentines card for you today.  I combined two blog challenges for it but didn't get it posted in time for one of them.  I came home from work last night with a raging headache and took some tylenol and went straight to bed.

The two challenges I am speaking about are Tiddly Inks "Kiss Me You Fool" challenge to use a kiss on your card.  I used X's and O'x for the kiss.  That cute image is a freebie from them.  I colored the roses with copic markers and the bear with prismacolor pencils.  I then colored the flowers and nose with glossy accents.

The other challenge I made this for is Jen's Sketch For You To Try.  I won't miss the deadline on this one because it's a monthly layout challenge.

I pulled out some kraft and chocolate chip card stock and Anna Griffin American Craft DP that I picked up at Michaels for this one.  I did a little sponging around the edges with Cranberry and added a row of scallops and ribbon and called it done.

I gotta get back to work now so until next time, have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Snowfairies

Look at those cute little snow fairies! They're from TiddlyInks and they are so adorable I just had to use thim for this challenge card.

The challenge is Let it Snow and you may notice there is some glittery white stuff at the base of the tree.

I printed the image on white card stock and colored it using copics and reinkers and my watercolor brush for the background.

I really didn't need to do much more to this card since the image was large and so fabulous on it's own. I just added a sentiment and ribbon and some punched snowflakes with jewels and I was done. I really love the rich tones of this card and the contrast of colors.

I gotta get this submitted for the contest cause it ends soon. I just found out about it today so I'm not doing too bad.

Y'all have a great day and thanks for stopping by! TTFN

Playing with Plaid

Today is the second anniversary of the day my mom recieved her angel wings and to honor her, instead of spending the day being sad, I spent the day being creative. She would have loved that. Matter of fact, if she were physically here today (she's always with me in spirit), she would have pulled up a chair next to me and helped me to decide what papers and embellishments to use or she would have wrinkled up her cute little nose if she didn't like something I chose. I loved my mom very much and miss her dearly everyday! I was lucky to have her in my life and I credit her for every creative bone in my body! She was the best! So to honor her creatively fun and whimsical spirit, I created a cute birthday card!

I was browsing through my papers and came across this fun plaid paper that I've been hoarding for quite some time and paired it with this cute flowery paper from MME. I chose this cute little elephant image, Ellie, is from Tiddlyinks (it's a free digi image) and I was on my way, but before I set about creating , I hopped on over to check out Jen's sketch challenge and the challenge on Crazy 4 Challenges. Everything just came together so easily and I love the results! Don't you?!!

I printed the image on watercolor paper and colored it with reinkers and a watercolor brush. The balloons were colored with Copics and glossed with glossy accents. The flowers were made using various flower punches! Easy peasy! Gotta love those sketches that Jen comes up with week after week. She sure makes card making a breeze!

I've been busy creating other stuff too, but I can't show it to you yet! That'll come later in the week!

Hope you're having a great weekend and get to do the things you love! Thanks for stopping by! TTFN
