Dec. Craft-Dee BowZ blog hop

Decbloghopcopy

Welcome to the last Craft-Dee BowZ blog hop of the year! Our theme is Christmas of course! Hope we inspire you to create something for Christmas. Hopefully you just came from Brenda’s blog, if not you will want to head to the start of the hop over at the Craft-Dee BowZ blog.

I went a completely different route with my project. It is a two in one project really as it can be used two different ways. I started out with a tag in mind using a stocking template. In the end I like the look of it as an ornament!

The top part of the stocking is actually velvet cardstock. Embossed glitter snowflakes (see second picture) on the stocking. Matched the toe and heel to the ribbon and added faux stitching with a white gel pen. Of course I used the Craft-Dee BowZ maker for the bow.

Decbloghopcopy

I made the picture dark so you could see the sparkly embossed snowflakes a little better.
decdark

Now head on over to Barbra’s blog to see what she has created. Don’t forget to comment along the way for your chance to win a Craft-Dee BowZ maker!

My project is also doing double duty today as it is also for the CCEE Stampers blog where the challenge is to create a card or project the includes a stocking. Make sure you check out the CCEE Stampers to see what the girls have created.

Craft-Dee BowZ Oct. Blog Hop

halloweenhop1copy

Hello and welcome to Craft-Dee BowZ Blog Hop! Since it is October, the theme is Halloween.

I pulled out some misc. stamps (that I have set aside for the kiddies to use) to use for my cards. Yes, I said cards. I made two for the blog hop only because the first one I am going to show you, I didn’t think would be “enough” for the “boss” lady. *wink*

I made a double loop bow using of course the Craft-Dee BowZ maker and simply stamped the “sentiment” down at the bottom. Well really I decided to emboss the “sentiment”. How cute is that?

halloweenhop1copy

Now do you see why I thought I had better make another card for the hop?

For my second card, I embossed the image (hey, I had the black embossing powder still sitting out, might as well put it to good use!) and then colored in a little with some copics. Cut the sentiment out with Spellbinders circles and popped it up. Used an icicle border punch for my “gooey” border. Added a triple loop bow using some wire ribbon (one of my favorites to use on the bow maker) and of course the Craft-Dee BowZ maker. And dug up my discontinued Halloween design papers for the card.

halloweenhop2copy

Before you head over to Brenda’s blog, I want to let you know that Craft-Dee BowZ is having a Design Team call for 2014. You can find all the details about it here if you are interested in trying out for it.

Now for the blog hop… here is the rotation incase you get lost. Don’t forget to leave a comment at each blog to be in the running to win your very own Craft-Dee BowZ maker. Winner will be announced on the Craft-Dee BowZ blog on Sat.

Butterflies in the air

Butterflyajhcopy

Welcome to another Craft-Dee BowZ blog hop! Our theme this time around is Spring/Mother’s Day. Hopefully you just came from Patti’s blog.

I went with a CAS card, no stamping involved at all. Found some pretty pattern paper I did use Spellbinder scallop circle die and cuttlbugg’d the die cut with the Script folder. Attached a butterfly from Prima to the die cut. Added a loopy bow at the bottom using of course the Craft-Dee BowZ maker.

Butterflyajhcopy

Don’t forget to comment on my post and everyone else's for your chance to win a Bow Maker. The winner will be announced on Saturday Apr. 6 over at the Craft-Dee BowZ.

Now head on over to Brenda’s blog to see what sweet creation she has made.

Craft-Dee BowZ first blog hop

hairbow copy

Welcome to the first ever Craft-Dee BowZ Blog Hop. This months blog hop is featuring a Valentine theme. If you hopped here by way of Patti’s blog  then you are in the right place!! Otherwise you might wish to start at the Craft-Dee BowZ blog to become eligible for a Craft-Dee BowZ tool and a spool of beautiful ribbon.

We were given three different types of ribbon to use for this blog hop. As soon as I saw the ribbon, I knew what I wanted to do. I used the wired heart ribbon as my base and made a 4 loop bow as big as the Craft-Dee BowZ would go. Then I took the white lace and again made a 4 loop bow but a few sizes smaller. Lastly I took the polka-dotted ribbon and made a 2 loop bow with tails just a size smaller than the lace.  Glued them all together to get this:

hairbow copy
After the Helmar 450 glue had dried, I glued it onto a small barrette.

Here is another shot not so close up. Can’t wait for Valentine’s day for her to wear this to school.

Now head on over to Barbara’s blog to see what she has made using the Craft-Dee BowZ. And don’t forget to comment along the way to be entered in the drawing for a Craft-Dee BowZ tool and a spool of ribbon!

SNSS Birthday Bash Blog Hop

Welcome to a Birthday Bash Blog Hop for Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps! I can't believe they are 5 yrs old! Why it seems like it was just yesterday I was discovering sweet Korin and her company. And then a little later on getting a chance to be a part of the design team for a few terms.

I choose to use Warm Hello for my card as I need to start my Christmas cards! (Plus I love snowmen.) I colored him with copics and paper pieced his scarf. Added some stickles to the holly and some FlowerSoft for snow. I even used this week's sketch from SCS and added some bling behind the snowman layer.

So I'm sure you are asking "It's a Birthday party... are there presents?" Well... how about this:

~There will be 4 random participants from whom Korin will choose 1 commenter to receive a $15 store credit.
~To be included in the drawings, comments must be left by midnight EST Friday, November 30th.
~The winners will be announced on the SNSS Blog on December 1st at 8am EST

All the blogs that are at this party can be found below. So start partying with us and don't forget to comment! Good luck!

Paper and Such blog hop

chickenwhatajhcopy

It’s March 9th and you know what that means? Release time over at Paper and Such! So welcome to the release blog hop! Enjoy your time and don’t forget to comment for your chance to win!

First off I have a cute Daisy set to show you. Besides this small image, there is also a bigger image of the daisies in the set. (some of the other DT girls used it so you don’t want to miss them!) I came down with a nasty cold this week that has taken my mojo so using the other images/sentiments in the set got put on hold.

I added some Crafty Sparkles to the middle of the daisies. I love how cute this card looks as I’m not a big CAS person. So for me not to add any more to this.. took lots!

amberdaisyajhcopy

This next set is so perfect for me right now. It is called Get Well Chick! Colored the image with copics and added some ribbon from May Arts. I also used the chicken wire from Paper and Such for my background.

Here is how the inside looks:

Sweet ‘n Sassy’s March Blog Hop

Welcome to another great release from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps! So glad you could join us as we blog hop through all the amazing creations the DT has made just for you. You are probably joining me from DJ Rants’ blog; if not, be sure to head back to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps blog so you don't miss a thing!

I have two sets to show you today. The first one is called Rhubarb’s Birthday. As you know, my little one turned 6 last month so I made this card for her, tucked it in her lunchbox and when it was lunch time at school….  She had a nice little surprise.

JordensBdaycardajh

Next I have Friendship Script Background. You may have seen this card yesterday over at SCS as I sneaked it during their sketch challenge.

I used the Script in the background, stamping it so it read correctly. Yes, that took me a few times to realize I wasn’t stamping it right so it read correctly! lol Pulled out distress inks and distressed it all. Middle image is Birds & Roses, also from Sweet ‘n Sassy, that I cut out using the oval Spellbinders. Ribbon is made up of two different sizes then heated.

Sweet ‘n Sassy’s February Blog Hop

Welcome to the Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps February New Release Blog Hop!  This month's release is so exciting  - it was even released a week early as a surprise! Get your warm beverage and tasty snack, and get ready for some amazing inspiration from the Design Divas! Hopefully you just came from Cathy McCauley’s blog.

First I have Special Friends to show you. I paper pieced her dress and the kite. Completely cut her out. Why someone would fly a kite at night is beyond me but this little girl is! I made the stars using SNSS’s Star die set that came out last month.

starrynightajhcopy

But my favorite set of the release has to be Butterfly Flourish. I embossed the butterfly flourish in clear and sponged on distress ink. Masked entire area and stamped the scripture from New Creature in distress ink and then went back over it and applied more ink.  Sentiment is also from New Creature.

Be sure to make plans to join us for our new release party tonight over in our member company forums on Splitcoaststampers.  We'll have great fellowship with crafty friends, challenges, and a prize drawing!  The excitement starts at 8:00 PM EST.

Now head on over to Wendy Jordan, our February guest designer, to see what she has in store for you. And if you get lost along the way, here are the links to all the other Design Divas.

Exciting news and stamp release

kindredspiritcopy

I’ve got exciting news to share! I was asked to rejoin the Sweet ‘n Sassy design team! I thought for sure Korin was teasing me when she asked if I wanted to be a part of the team again. Of course I said YES! I love Korin and love her images/messages that she shares through Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps.  So it’s with great joy that I share with you some new releases coming from Sweet ‘n Sassy!

Sweet 'n Sassy Stamps
has an amazing release planned for this month, and the Design Divas are so excited about it!  Eight new clear stamp sets and three new sets of dies will be available in the store tonight.  Make sure you've got a warm, tasty beverage and some donuts ready....you won't want to miss a bit of the inspiration we have for you today!

For the record, I did not mean to make my cards with similar layouts! The first card I have to show you uses Together Silhouettes. Love this set! I went with reds for my main color. I actually “broke” the sentiment up by masking out what I didn’t want on the front as…

kindredspiritcopy

I wanted it inside!insidekindred copy

For my second card I used Cocoa’s Tasty Treats. Colored with copics and stamped the sentiment below.

And now take a look at the rest of the Design Divas (and our very special January guest)...they've all whipped up some gorgeousness today!

Merry Christmas

First let me wish you a Merry Christmas. We opened our gifts up already with the kids as the big family one is today. Here was our surprise gift for the kids:

Knight

The puppy of the house, Keeper, isn’t too sure about him yet. Wants to play with him but the puppy, Knight, has settled in enough yet to do that.  Here is a shoot of them together though:

knightkeeper

But you didn’t come here to see these! You came because it is a Paper Pretties Birthday hop for one of our design members!  A big Happy Birthday going out to Lawren Fowlkes. Hopefully you just came from Frances Byrne

Here is my card to celebrate Lawren using Holiday Cheers I.  Hope you have a great day and get to celebrate your birthday in some way besides just Christmas. (My sister-in-law also celebrates her birthday today!)

Love Potion #9 - OCL sneak

lovepotionajhcopy
Thank you for all the get well wishes. Little one was able to go back to school yesterday! Now I’m keeping fingers crossed that the other 2 kids don’t get it as they have a Christmas concert tomorrow! Speaking of Christmas, I finally got around to changing my blog background! Was cutting it close there. But now on to why you cam here in the first place.

I’m back again with a sneak at another Valentine (or love) set from Our Craft Lounge. Today I am showing you… Love Potion! Not like you couldn’t figure that out by my title!

I decided to create a little scene by using 3 different stamps. Using the clear stamps makes it a breeze to see where to position the images to make it look like I was pouring hearts to make the right love potion! How cool is that? If you look carefully, you will see another stamp from the set on the pink in versamark. And that cute sentiment comes with the set! Twine is from May Arts.

Now it's time to check out what the rest of the girls have come up with on their blogs.  Make sure you leave some love on our DT blogs {below} as well as on the OCL Blog & Facebook page because we have some great blog candy to give away.  Comments end tonight (Friday, December 16th at midnight Pacific time).

Operation Julie’s Smile Blog Hop with a sneak peek

OJSPumpkinajh copy

I am so glad that you have joined us on this amazing blog hop for Operation Julie’s Smile. If you came here from Pattie Goldman’s blog, then you are in the right spot. If not, you may want to start from the beginning at the Sweet Stamp Shop Blog and take your time. You have ALL WEEKEND to hop with us and win prizes!

What an honor to be a part of such a large blog hop, and for such a great cause. Here is a little bit more info on this great cause for those of you who have no idea what cause I am talking about:

“The creative blogging community is coming together this weekend to help one of our friends, Julie Ranae. You may know her as the Design Team Coordinator for many wonderful companies from bakers twine, die cuts, rubber stamps and more. What many people don’t know about Julie Ranae is that she has had some pretty major dental surgeries in her lifetime due to medication she had to take as a child. It was in her plans to think about having all of her teeth replaced at some point in the next 5 years, a decision that was pretty easy to plan out. But then it happened…she chipped her front teeth on a weekend a month ago. The dentist told her there was no way to save them & that it was his recommendation that she give in and have all her teeth removed soon, but for that day, they needed to get her front teeth done so her gums could begin to heal. He said he would 'work out payments with her to have ALL this work done...but when she called to make her appt for the first step of impressions, they told her the amount of money that was needed and that the 'payments' applied only to the two teeth that were extracted that day. Her husband Paul was with her & that too, was his understanding as well. So this is how she has found herself in this situation…Needing at least $4000 to get started and another $3000 to finish the process…a total of $7000.

Nicole Rixon, owner of Sweet Stamp Shop put together this benefit after finding out about this situation and before Julie Ranae knew it, it took flight!

It is the goal of all of these generous friends & sponsors to help make this situation more do-able for our friend so that she can share a brand new smile with all of us soon.

If there is anything you can do to help with a financial donation, there is a “donation” button ready for you to click over to the right. Any amount is appreciated and ALL DONATIONS will be eligible for prizes from our sponsor pool of over $2500.”  A complete list of sponsors is listed on the Sweet Stamp Shop Blog.

And here is my card I made just for this blog hop. I made a Double Z-Fold Card that was shown over at SCS. Used a new (digi) image that will be coming in a month or so from Paper and Such but Julie is letting us show it off just for today. Colored the image with prismacolor pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits. Distressed entire card with distress inks. Used Pink Paislee Amber Road collection for the design paper.

OJSPumpkinajh copy

And the card when it is open.

OJSopenajhpumpkincopy

I hope you enjoyed your stop here on the hop! The next stop is Janice Melton’s blog. Make sure you leave a comment here before you go so that you can have a chance at the amazing prizes up for grabs and if you can, please make a donation so we can help bring back a new smile for our friend.

Since this is such a large blog hop, there could be a break somewhere in the chain, so please bear with us.

You have the entire weekend to get around to all the blogs to be eligible for prizes by leaving comments and or making a donation. The blog hop runs through Sunday, October 9th at 11:59pm EST.

Did you like the digi image I used on my card? Well… Julie from Paper and Such is offering this sweet new digi image to those who donate to the cause.

pumpkin_pickers_2watermark

BUT you have to go the Paper and Such blog and leave a comment there that you did donate in order to receive the image.

That’s right folks…donate to the cause (as little or as much as you can) and you get the digi for free! Isn’t it adorable??

The very talented Angela Fehr designed it. Angela will be designing for Paper and Such, and you will be able to purchase her creations, starting in November. I can’t wait to see the other images!

Thank you for taking the time to read through this post and for being a part of the blog hop. Best of luck with the chance to win!

Smile!

smileajhcopy

Smile! It’s release day at Paper Pretties! Which means it’s a blog hop and a challenge all rolled into one.   So hopefully you just came from the Paper Pretties blog as I’m the first stop on the hop. The challenge this week over at Paper Pretties is EARTH TONE colors.

Yes, I wrote that in caps cause I’m yelling at myself! I knew what the challenge was.. I even have it written down in my notebook that I keep for all my work…but I wanted my hippo to be blue so  I colored it blue and went on breaking the “rules” for the challenge as I went PASTEL instead!! ugh!!  So not to break the blog hop, here is my “earth tone” color card (Hey! it has brown and green on it!! lol)

smileajhcopy

I know what you are thinking.. “why didn’t you just make another card that actually fit the challenge?” Well I’ve been battling a sinus headache for the past few days and when I do feel well enough to do anything, I’m running around like crazy trying to get house cleaned and cards are the last things to get made. So yes, I just made this before the hop went live so really I didn’t have time to even redirect my poor sick brain and I was almost done with my card when I realized it!  That’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

Your next stop is Dawn Knight  on this blog hop. Enjoy!

Ps. Quick shout out to Little Red Wagon Challenge blog as I was featured there with my You’re Fintastic card! What an honor. Thank you!

It’s time once again for a birthday blog hop for some Paper Pretties gals. This time it’s girls from the Digital Design Team celebrating a birthday today. Happy Birthday, Lisa Rasmussen & Nadine Buhl!  Hopefully you just came from Frances Byrne ‘s blog.

I decided to use Make a Wish Cooper to make my birthday card. Stamped on watercolor paper and used watercolor pencils. Painted on Angel Wings Shimmerz on the cake. Used Nana’s Nursery Baby Boy design paper and some balloon brads.
