Happy Anniversary

Welcome to another Crazy 4 Challenge. This week Kristine has created a sketch for you and here it is.

For my card I used Sealed with a Kiss by Paper Pretties. Colored with copics and cut out using Spellbinder Oval. Layered with Spellbinder scallop oval. The trickiest part for me was the triangle. So I came up with the idea of taking the smallest Spellbinder Square, cutting out 3 and then cutting them in half to get my triangles. Easy way to get triangles when you don’t have the punch or die cut for them!

If you decide to play along, all you have to do is create a card/project and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword C4C190. Don't forget to go back to Crazy 4 Challenge Blog and link it on Mr. Linky so that everyone else can see it too.

Masculine Birthday card

tractorbdayajhcopy

Do you have a certain theme card that is just your hardest theme to make a card for? Mine is usually Masculine. I just have a hard time sometimes making a card that would work for a guy.  Well not this time as The Lounge’s challenge is a sketch challenge and worked perfectly with Bountiful Harvest set.  You still have time to do the challenge as it ends tonight.

I colored the tractor with prismacolor pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits. Did a little out of the box when using the Spellbinders. Used some Fallish paper for the three sections. Happy Birthday is from Love is in the Air.

Please see The Lounge for the rules of entering the sketch challenge.

Happy Birthday

Needed a birthday card for a 10 yr old boy so I pulled out Our Craft Lounge Slow and Steady.

Colored the image with copics. Popped up the present with a Zapdot and did a little out of the circle with the balloons and the turtle’s feet. Sketch is from CAS166.

Inspiration came from today’s Inspiration 334 using the Hand Painted Personalized Plate – Turtle.

This also works for CAS167 – At the Zoo.

Cowgirl Invite

amberstexxtureajhcopy

Time for another Pretties Wednesday Challenge over on the Paper Pretties Blog. This week's challenge is to add texture to your card.

My little one turns 6 next week and wants a horse cake. So I figured for her invitations I would use Howdy Girlfriend Sophia and paper piece her. Of course by the time I got done piecing just one Sophia, I think the rest will just be colored with copics! lol

For my texture I used an embossing folder on the middle strip after I had stamped the sentiment from Party Giraffe. My design paper does have a rough texture to it which you can see on the piece behind her.

amberstexxtureajhcopy

I borrowed the layout from Deb Felts as I loved her card.

How to Enter: If you would like to play along with us, all you have to do is create a card/project using the above challenge and upload it to your blog and/or to your SCS Gallery using the keyword PWC192.

Don’t forget to include a link to your card on the Paper Pretties Blog, so everyone can see it too. You don’t have to use Paper Pretties stamps to play, but of course if you have them we would love to see you use them. Paper Pretties Sketch

AmbersDecSketchcopy

It’s the first full week of December! Where has the time gone? Pretty soon it will be Christmas! Are you ready? I’m not!  Anyways since it is the first Wend of the month, it is also sketch time for Paper Pretties.

Today I decided to use Fairy Special for the sketch. I went back to my roots and used prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits to blend them. Added some stickles on the wings and the wand. I used DCWV Linen Closet paper on the card and a border punch to jazz it up some.

Can you believe it is that time again? Time for some Paper and Such sneak peeks! And to start you off, we are showing Chicken Wire Background.

Chicken Wire Background is perfect for the Hot Shot Chickens so I used Butter for my card. Colored him with copics, stamped the chicken wire on cardstock and cut it out with a scallop spellbinder. Also stamped the chicken wire for my main background too.

And speaking of flying, I used Imagine from Paper Pretties on my card. Colored with copics and cut out of the box. Added some green bling cause even though the picture is looking a little yellow, it’s really green and blue design paper. (darn camera!)

A new way to color aka no line stamping

Ambersfallajhcopy

So this week over at Paper Pretties, the challenge is to be inspired by fall.

I decided to try a new technique that I saw this past week on Lydia’s blog who saw it at Holly’s blog. No line stamping or Stamp Nekkid (as Lydia called it).

I stamped the owls in blush blossom and colored over them with copics. Was very interesting to do, especially with their tails/wings but all in all I think I did a pretty good job! Used some retired SU Fall design paper for my card, ribbon and leaf brads.  Sketch came from I need a sketch blog.

Ambersfallajhcopy

Don’t forget to come play with us as One random lucky participant this week will win "a Paper Pretties sentiment sampler" . You do not need to use Paper Pretties stamps in order to play along, but if you do, you will get a bonus entry into the drawing! You have to link your card on the Paper Pretties blog NOT here! Can’t wait to see your Fall Inspired.

Happy (deer) Birthday

DeerDadajhcopy

Sneak peeks are happening!! But for who??  Paper and Such that is who!! Starting today till release day which is Aug.9th!

Today we have “Deer Dad”. This is a great masculine set that can be used for all occasions.  I used it as a birthday card as I need one for a friend.

Stamped the deer in vintage photo distress ink on Kraft and added just a little color with some green. Distressed the paper with brushed corduroy and vintage photo distress ink.  Used some design paper and stamped Happy (and) birthday with vintage photo and also distressed paper with ink.

Talk to the Booty

Talktobootyajhcopy

Ready for another sneak peek from Paper and Such? Today’s stamp set is called Molly. Wonder who she is related to?

I used i{heart}2stamp’s August sketch for my layout. And believe it or not.. used Halloween design paper for my card! Used copics to color Molly’s hair, feathers, shoes, legs, cell phone, beak and glasses. Stamped the saying onto twill ribbon and attached it with brads. (incase you can’t read it, (think I need to reink that ink pad!) it says “talk to the booty, cuz the wings off duty!”)

Talktobootyajhcopy

Don’t forget to check out the rest of the design teams cards and leave some love as you never know which blog will be picked to give away some blog candy.

Exciting news!!

Ambers76cardcopy

This is my second post for the day. Please scroll down to see the Paper Pretties post.

I can finally announce that I made  The Pixie Cottage Design Team!
Each Wend they have a new sketch/theme challenge posted on their blog and everyone is invited to play along! So please check out their blog for all the info on joining in on these challenges.

Today’s theme is Strawberry/Cream and/or the sketch: 76  I went with the sketch and used The Pixie Cottage Digital Stamp Polkadotasaurus for my card.

I decided to use pink and silver as my colors. Dino’s spots were colored with Silver Smooches so she could have some sparkle. Added some pink bling in the corners and some glitterier sliver flowers to the corner. My bow takes the place of the big rectangle in the sketch.
