Happy Halloween

pumpkinscary

Challenge time over at the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. Our challenge hostesses of the month, Liz Williams & Lynn McAuley continue to bring us fun challenges.

Create a card using your favorite ghoul, ghost, monster, or witch to scare up some Halloween fun.

I don’t do Halloween so I have no ghoul, ghost or monster images so I went with a Jack ‘o Lantern cupcake using Paper Pretties Holiday Sweets I instead. Colored the image with copics. Added yellow stickles to the stars. Pulled out some “Halloween” design paper that I have and made my card. The sentiment also comes from the Holiday Sweets I set.

Clean and simple Christmas

cleansimpleajsh

Time for a Paper Pretties challenge! This week's challenge is:
CLEAN AND SIMPLE!

also This month take 50%  your entire order using promo code: HAPPYHALLOWEEN over at Paper Pretties!

Clean and Simple, huh? Sometimes I can do them and other times they don’t stay to clean and simple. But I have to say I am in love with my card and am thinking Christmas cards for this year! The only time consuming part is the complete cutout.

I used Tis the Season Sophia and colored her with copics. Used some sparkly pens for the ribbons and cut her out completely. Ran some vellum through the cuttlebug with a Christmas folder. Attached it with brads and attached Sophia with dimensionals.

Good Bye for now

goodbyeajhcopy

Time for another CCEE Stampers challenge. The challenge is a good bye card or sympathy card or farewell or….. Why?

Well as I am the hostess this month, my oldest leaves for college tonight! When I say leave, I mean all of us as it is an 8 hr trip so we are loading up the family tonight, driving all through the night to her new home till we see her at Christmas time!  Hence the challenge of a good bye card.

I had to use Message Pup as she will be leaving her baby, Keeper (a boxer), behind so really this card is from Keeper.  I colored the image with prismacolor pencils and blended with odorless mineral spirits. Cut it out with Spellbinder oval and layered with Spellbinder scallop oval. Used border punch on bottom layer and added a bone eyelet over top of some twine. Of course I stamped “I miss you” instead of “good bye” as I couldn’t find the stamp that said it! ugh

These boots are made for walking

AmberGlittercopy

It is challenge time over at the CCEE Stampers challenge blog. This week Shirley Quarry, issues her last challenge as our July challenge hostess.

Our challenge this week is to create a card that is related to a song title.

I am really bad at these types of challenges as I draw a blank. For some reason first song to pop into my head was “These boots are made for walking”.

I used Paper pretties Howdy Girlfriend Sophia for my card. Did a little paper piecing with the image and used some star eyelets too.

    What’s Happening and Cake

    recipeovalcircleajh

Time for another CCEE Stampers challenge. Our challenge this week is a Recipe Challenge … Use 2 circles, 1 oval and two or more octagons (or hexagons/decagons) on your card.

I used this fun set from Paper Pretties and paired it with a chicken wire background stamp I have for my hexagons. My sentiment is in 1 oval (even though it killed me not to layer it!!). Colored image with prismacolor pencil and blended with odorless mineral spirits. Used a little watercolor paint for the sky.

This week’s Paper Pretties challenge is to make a Girly Girl card. Of course with Graduation just around the corner, I had to make a girly grad card.

I used Graduation Fairy Sofie for my card. Paper pieced most of her and colored the rest with copics. Distressed the edges of the paper with distresser tool. And pulled out some flowers for the corner.

    Masculine Grad Card – PWC306

    masculinegrad

This week’s  challenge over at Paper Pretties is Masculine Cards.

Graduation will be here before I know it so I decided to make a masculine graduation card. But instead of using an image, I used Inspirational Quotes for my card. Pulled out some masculine colored papers and some brads and went to work. Sentiment is on dimensions. (background and sentiment paper is cream colored)

Time for another Paper Pretties challenge. This week is Paper Piercing.

I used Pirate Cooper for my card. Colored him with copics. Paper pierced around just the oval for a change and added some pirate brads. Found some Halloween paper that worked perfectly for a pirate! Cut sentiment apart to make it fit in the space.

    Congratulations

    JesseGradcardcopy

The challenge over at Paper Pretties this week is to stamp your own background.

Graduation is coming up fast and since my oldest is a Senior this year, I will be needing quite a few graduation cards. So what better time to start them.

I used Graduation Zac for my main image. Colored him with copics and cut his lower half out of the circle. Keeping with our school colors, I used Sassy Circles to stamp my black poka dotted background.

    Motherhood and baking

    motherhoodcopy

Time for another Paper Pretties challenge. Try a New Technique. For my technique I went looking through Splitcoaststampers technique page and decided on Herringbone.

To do this technique, you use strips of paper and attach them to the cardstock in a triangle pattern.

I used Made With Love. Colored with copics and cut out completely. Used three different pattern papers for the Herringbone and used Spellbinders die to layer the sentiment on.

    amberribbonajhcopy

Time for another Paper Pretties challenge. Ribbon.

I used Return of the Cluck. Decided to use Prismacolor pencils blended with odorless mineral spirits for coloring instead of copics this time around. Did a little out of the box cutting and popped up the balloon some.

Added ribbon that I tied into a bow using the Craft-Dee BowZ maker.

Don’t you hate when you have Internet problems? We were down and dead for a good day and a half and thought we were gonna die! How did we ever survive without Internet before?

The good news is there is still time to join in the Paper Pretties challenge which is Red, White and Pink colors.

    Paper Pretty challenge

    Amberstexturetimcard

Hope all my friends are staying warm! We have had some crazy weather here. But that is another post

    Today’s Paper Pretties challenge…. Texture.

I used Message Pup for my card. Colored with copics and did a little out of the box cutting. It is hard to tell but there is Crystal Effects on the spilled paint to give it a glossy/paint look. Cuttlebug’d the background for part of my texture. Added a ribbon for the other part of texture.
