I approve of any discourse which is beneficial, particularly if it treats of moral questions and the relations between kings and subjects. We have already heard Isocrates on the relation of rulers to their subjects; I will now treat of the duties of subjects towards their rulers. When you have heard my views, I shall have the right of censuring those who do not carry out my wishes.
