Glitter Gift Guide

It's almost the holiday season which means everyone is planning their friends and families fabulous gifts. This holiday season is no different when it comes to the trend of glitter and sparkle. Personally, I love anything and everything sparkly for the holidays! So many gift guides this year feature glitter goods ready to be gifted. Here are a few of my favorites for the glam girl in your life.

This is one of many holiday gift guides to come from my gift guide series! What other gift guides would you like to see? Leave requests in the comments below!

Valentines Day Gift Ideas

Do you need a gift for a sweetheart for valentines day? Or do you want to get yourself something nice to make up for a single year (no shame girl power everyone)? Well here are some of my top picks of good valentines gift ideas!

What girl doesn't like getting some jewelry? Whoever you are shopping for a fun bracelet or ring is a great idea for a small gift. Alex and Ani has great bangles that can be super personal. Not to mention I am basically obsessed with them and I think they work for a lot of people. Or you could find a fun and bold bracelet from a site like Bauble Bar. In general jewelry is always a good route to go. Personally, I love getting a new bauble for my collection.

Lets say your girl is more into being comfy and casual. A fun pair of bright Uggs will not only keep her feet warm but they will look super cue with a pair of leggings or skinny jeans.

For a smaller gift think of a fun makeup item. Butter London nail polish, a YSL lip color, or a Bobbi Brown palette are good splurge beauty items that she wouldn't accept to get for valentines day. These will be a big hit because most girls don't splurge on makeup. But, when someone else does it they will love it!

Another great option is a fun bag. I love this bow Kate Spade bag and it would be a great option if your girlfriend (or yourself.....) isn't big into jewelry. Also, perfume is a great alternative to jewelry. I want the One Direction perfume but be sure to pick a scent that works for your girl! And don't be afraid to get a gift receipt just incase she doesn't like the scent.

One last small gift is a fun planner. This is a great idea if you are shopping for a college girl! I am obsessed with my planner and I wouldn't mind getting a cute one like this Kate Spade planner or a Lilly Pulitzer agenda.

Those are all of my Valentines gift ideas! So no matter who you are shopping for step outside of the box from the traditional candy and teddy bear and get something your girlfriend can actually use and enjoy.
(But still get candy... because girls love candy and food in general.)

Hope you have a fun Valentines day wether you are single or taken :)

Enjoy a photo shoot my friend and I did while she was here. We found a cool effect using the Christmas lights on my tree.

OOTN: New Years Eve

NYE was a fun time. But now its over.... However here is what I wore on the big night to close in the year of 2013.

I wore a white and black cut out dress. It has a high low detail which makes it a little unique. I think the cut outs add a little bit of sexiness to the look without being to over the top.

 I paired the look with my blue heels. Also, I layered on two chunky blue statement necklaces to create a lot of texture and to add a pop of color into the look. For makeup I added a bright pink lip to brighten up my lips.

I love how these necklaces look together. They add a lot of different textures and colors to the look. It also fills an empty spot where the dress doesn't have a lot of details.

OOTD: Brown and Blush

With Christmas over I have many new things I am working into my style. For example my blush colored tights. The color is super unique but I think I will be able to wear them a lot.

I paired the blush tights with a taupe brown dress. This dress is super flattering and I got it for a super good deal (as usual I'm a bargain hunter). To accessorize the look I wore my new favorite statement necklace. (Lets be honest I love all my necklaces but this one is extra fabulous.) The necklace has subtle pink tones which helps tie in the look with the blush tights.

Of course my arm candy had to be represented with my new Michael Kors watch.

I styled my hair in a top knot to keep it out of my face and to prevent the annoying static! But, it makes the look extra girly and chic. And of course a bold bright lip was a must for this look.

Bracelets: Alex and Ani & Charming Charlie's
Watch: Michael Kors (bought at Nordstrom)

{As I said I am in love with this necklace! It is super bold but the colors are subtle so it's not to over powering. And I find myself reaching for it often because it goes with so much of my wardrobe!}

{Making faces. The usual.}

{I am obsessed with Alex and Ani bangles. They are super dainty and girly. The M bangle on the bottom is from Charming Charlies and was on sale for only $4! So, if you think Alex and Ani is a little expensive there are cheaper alternatives.}

New Years Eve Beauty Essentials

New Years Eve Beauty Essentials

NYE is a great night of the year to mix up your everyday makeup look. My best advice is to be BOLD. Try something that is out of your comfort zone. If you usually wear nude lips try a bold red. {Note to self a bold red lip is always okay on a holiday!}.

From my experience I love experimenting with lip products. I find it is the easiest way to switch up your look. Especially if you normally have your lips bare this will make a huge statement and it will add some color to your look. Also, a new trend I am seeing is a purple lip. So if you are feeling extra bold go for it!

Another fun thing to add to a NYE look is glitter or metallic nail polish. New Years eve is full of glamour so might as well deck out your nails too.

For me I love a cat eye look using liner. I find it the easiest to achieve with either a liquid liner or a gel.

Then lastly, glowy skin is also a good look. Pick yourself up some rosy blush to bright up your face. To add extra glow you can use a liquid or powder highlight.

Have a happy NYE!

OOTD: Christmas Day

For my Christmas Day look I really wanted to wear one of my newest purchases... My blue Sam Eldeman heels. So, naturally I reached for one of my favorite little black dresses from H&M to help me out.

I paired my simple black dress with a pair of bright blue fishnet tights. Ironically these happen to match my shoes very well. So, the pairing together made for a bold blue statement which I am kind of obsessed with.
In general, I have been super into colored heels. I like dressing up a simple look with bold heels or colored tights. It's an easy way to add color into a winter look.

Along with my classic look I paired a Christmas gift I got the night before. My new J Crew pearl statement piece is definitely a new favorite of mine! Like my other statement necklace this one literally goes with everything it seems like. I know it will be a great piece to have in my statement necklace collection. (Which is getting kind of out of hand. But, a girl can never have to many necklaces!)

I also finished the look off with my new Michael Kors watch and Alex and Ani and Juicy Couture bangles!

{I also have been super into bold lips/ lipsticks this holiday and winter season. Who can resist all of those amazing drugstore options out there. My favorites are for sure the Revlon balm stains and their classic lipsticks.}

{Some new additions to my arm party.}

{A few selfies with my girly and puffed hair. I felt very 60's inspired for some reason with my hair all done up. Is it just me or do you agree?}

{Posing and such.}
