Sew Cute Holiday: My top Nordstrom gift picks!

It's no secret I am a huge Nordstrom fan. I feel like that is the only place I shop now and days. But, I have to say it's kind of a non-stop shop. They have all of my favorite brands in one place + you get Nordstrom notes and rewards when you shop! It's a win-win. Today I decided to round up some of my favorite items at Nordstrom right now that would make great gifts. Nordstrom's shipping is great so most of these should arrive to you before Christmas #score!

I personally own all of these items so I know they are good! Trust me on this guys...

BAREFOOT DREAMS BLANKET | I picked up a Barefoot Dreams blanket at Nordstrom Rack in stores for $50 and it is heavenly. This is the full price version on Nordstrom's site. Click here for the Nordstrom Rack version. Fuzzy blankets are a great gift for anyone! I think this would make an awesome gift for your mom, younger sister, or even grandma!

LELE SADOUGHI | Again, it is no secret that Lele Sadoughi is my obsession recently. Nordstrom has a great selection of her accessories! I asked for this headband for Christmas and I am in love with it. So sparkly and so perfect for the holidays. My recent go-to earrings are also available at Nordstrom. They are a great substitute for a simple pearl stud.

LITTLE WORDS PROJECT | Everyday I wear at least one Little Words Project bracelet! I freaking love these bracelets and their mission at Little Words Project. If you are looking for a meaningful but cute gift look no further!

BARBOUR SCARF | This unisex scarf legit works for anyone you may be shopping for. Brother, sister, mom, dad you name it! I love this color too.

MONICA VINADER | My gold bracelet I wear legit everyday is also a great splurge gift! Perfect for your girlfriend (guys I'm talking to you) or go in with your siblings to pick it up for your mom.

SEQUIN TOP | This adorable top is on sale! I ordered it a while back and I can't wait to wear it for the holidays. It is so fun and festive! Plus you could wear it for NYE or any other fun sequin appropriate get together.

SUPERGOOP | Know someone heading somewhere warm soon? Gift them this Supergoop set! I love Supergoop products and sunscreen is so so important. This set gives them a little taste of their best products.

TASSEL BLANKET | You've seen me post about this blanket sooooo many times. But, it really is my favorite blanket! And it is a good price! For the hardest person on your list this is sure to please.

DAGNE DOVER BACKPACK | I just picked this backpack up during Dagne Dover's sale. I use their duffle bag pretty much every time I travel. The quality is amazing and these bags have so many useful pockets and compartments! Perfect for travel or would make a great school bag for a high schooler or college student.

STONEY CLOVER LANE POUCH | Another go-to product of mine are my Stoney Clover Lane pouches! These pouches are so useful for travel, to organize your bag, or whatever else needs organizing. I think these would make great gifts for a mom to keep her diaper bag organized or for someone who travels often.

There you have it! Those are some of my top gift picks from Nordstrom. The best part is Nordstrom has super fast shipping so you should be able to get these gifts in time for Christmas! Happy shopping!

Sew Cute Holiday: College Girl Gift Guide

CLEAR STADIUM BAG | Stadium bags are a college essential these days. Back when I went to school we could still bring in whatever bag we wanted. Those were the good old days.... Now stadiums require clear bags upon entry. So, you might as well gift a super cute clear bag for the student in your life! My favorite brand is Kelly Wynne for stadium approved bags. But, there are a ton of cute options out there that would make a great holiday gift.

FUZZY SOCKS | I mean I think we can all agree everyone loves fuzzy socks. But, these come in handy for cold dorm rooms or apartments. I am eyeing this pair of Barefoot Dreams socks. They are so dang fuzzy and warm!

LEGGINGS | Most college girls live in leggings, which make them a great gift option! You can either splurge on a nice pair of Beyond Yoga leggings or opt for a more moderate brand like Zella. Personally I am a huge fan of Zella leggings. They are great quality and are the fraction of brands like Lululemon.

COZY BLANKET | A warm cozy blanket is a great gift to complete any college dorm or apartment! I've linked a few of my favorites. You really can't go wrong with any of them. I have the tassel blanket and it is super soft and looks great even as a decorative throw.

BEANIE | If the college girl you're shopping for is in a cold climate a cute beanie is a must have gift! You can pick up a fashionable beanie or opt for a beanie sporting their college logo. I love Love Your Melon for collegiate beanies!
Topshop beanie | faux fur beanie | Barefoot Dreams beanie | Barbour beanie

HAIR ACCESSORIES | Between hair clips and headbands hair accessories are all the rage this season. Pick up a few fun hair accessories for stocking stuffers! Whether you want to splurge on Lele Sadoughi or opt for an affordable pack off of Amazon the possibilities are endless.
velvet headband | Amazon prime hair clips | customizable hair clip | crystal beaded headband

GIFT CARDS | My go-to gift for college students is gift cards. Pick up gift cards for their favorite coffee shop on campus, their go-to local restaurant, or give them some cash to spend at the bars. Either way it's free food or coffee which is a win for them!

RESUABLE WATERBOTTLE | I lived for reusable water bottles during school. It was the easiest way to have water while you're walking around campus or studying at the library. Most campuses have water fountain stations where you can even fill them up! This gift is helpful, but also friendly.
holographic Swell | Hydro Flask | Vita Jewel water bottle | fun water bottle

What was your favorite gift you used during college? I loved all of my dorm decor pieces I was gifted from friends! Let me know your favorite in the comments.

Sew Cute Holiday: Guy Gift Guide

laptop bag | quilted jacket | dopp kit | slippers (on sale!)

I say this every year, but it still holds true... guys are so hard to shop for. I'm not sure why but they just are. I always struggle with picking out guy gifts! But, I've rounded up some fun and useful gift ideas for the guys still on your list.

My boyfriend is pretty much obsessed with glassware. From decanters to shot glasses he loves it all. He has this Pottery Barn decanter and loves it. You can even customize it with an initial or monogram! I also love this set of Tiffany shot glasses. I picked these up for him to match his Tiffany decanter. Other drink themed gift ideas include some whisky stones, a cocktail theme coffee table book, or simply pick up a bottle of their favorite booze!

Clothing is another easy gift idea for your guy. Undershirts I think specifically, or really any item of clothing they don't want to spend money on themselves. Who knew undershirts were so expensive, yet again ladies have to buy a lot of expensive things so I don't really feel too bad!

For a guy in a cold weather climate a new quilted jacket, set of leather gloves, or a cozy scarf is a great gift idea. This Barbour polarfleece lined jacket is my boyfriends go-to during the winter. It looks sharp plus is super warm and comfortable.

Other great gift ideas are for the world traveler. Whether it be a customized passport holder and luggage tag, a new work bag, a fun dopp kit for toiletries, or even a cufflink travel case. A lot of guys travel for work so any of these ideas are sure to please!

There you have it! Those are my guy gift ideas this year. What are your go-to guy gifts? Let me know in the comments!

Sew Cute Holiday: Chuck's Gift Guide

Chuck is taking over the blog today! He is sharing some fun dog gifts (for humans and pups) plus some fun Frenchie items.

He's loving all of these fun Frenchie gifts for humans. Who doesn't need a cute little French Bulldog notebook, book ends, or maybe a sleeping mask. These are great gift for any Frenchie owner or fan. I picked up this adorable dog photo holder from Kohls recently and it is darling. The perfect little desk accessory for your office.

Pajamas are a great gift for humans and pets alike. I'm obsessed with this all I want for Christmas is dogs set. I picked it up from Target and it is soooo soft. Then I had to include this pair of pink Frenchie pajama pants from J. Crew Factory. I bought them maybe 1-2 years ago and I love them. Super cozy flannel and perfect for lounging around. For the dogs you can pink up a fun onsie style pajama from Nordstrom or get matching pjs for the whole family at Target!

Chuck's favorite winter essential is his Barbour dog coat. He is always sporting this once the weather gets cold. It's not only stylish but warm! This would make a great gift for any pup on your list. Chuck loves getting new collars so he included a fun Mickey style then a more neutral option as well. Collars are a fun affordable stocking stuffer great for your pup.

Chuck and myself are pumped for the Snoopy pop up at Nordstrom! There are a ton of fun dog gifts available including this fun Snoopy sweatshirt. You can shop it online or in store.

Do you have a dog? Let me know their name and breed in the comments! I hope you all enjoyed Chuck's top gift picks of the season.

Sew Cute Holiday: Prime Gift Guide

Amazon is a great resource for gifts! I mean who doesn't love free 1 day shipping? Where are all of my last minute shoppers at because Amazon is probably going to be a huge help for you! You can pretty much buy anything on Amazon now so it can be your non-stop resource for all of your holiday shopping.

Today, I've pulled together some fun gifts that are all available on Amazon Prime. These are all pretty random I have to say. But, I think any of them would make great gifts! I mean an avocado blanket, pineapple shaped diffuser, or a fun tech gift? You can get any type of person checked off your list with a little Amazon shopping. The best part is most of these gifts are under $100 so they are budget friendly as well.

Will you be doing any holiday shopping on Amazon? Let me know in the comments!

Sew Cute Holiday: Jetsetter Gift Guide

As you may know I am legit always on the go! I've been on over 30 flights this year alone. So, I like to think of myself as the jetsetting expert. That is why I knew I had to create another travel themed gift guide this year. All of these items I use while traveling! These products are trusted and tested by me. You can also look at this as my travel essentials guide as well as a gift guide. After many trial and errors I've finally found my go-to travel products and a system that works for me. All of these items are included in that system!

When it comes to beauty travel essentials I have a few key items. I am really loving this Summer Friday's jet lag mask. My skin always gets dry when I travel on planes. This helps the cause. You can put it on at night or even while you are on the plane if you have a long flight. Teleties or Invisibobble are my go-to hair ties while traveling. They don't crease your hair so it makes them the perfect hair tie to throw up your hair on the plane then be ready to let it down once you land. It also helps reduce static in my hair by putting it up on the plane ride! A mini wet brush is also an essential. I rely on my WetBrush daily so having a mini one helps fit it in my travel bag easier.

My main travel essential is Stoney Clover Lane pouches. I use them for everything! My makeup, skincare, hair products, plane essentials, and more. I use small pouches for my hair and makeup products then place those into a large pouch. Plane essentials are stored in my mini pouch that I always keep in my duffle bag. In there I keep a pair of headphones, medicine, lip balm, hair ties, and other things I may want easy access to on the plane.

Away and Dagne & Dover are my go-to luggage brands. I swear by the Bigger Carry-On by away. Easily I can pack for a 4 day trip in this suitcase! It really compresses everything and makes it so easy to pack in. Plus, it is uber stylish. Ditch the old ugly black suitcase and get someone on your list this amazing bag! Then the duffle bag I swear by is the large Landon Carryall from Dagne & Dover. It has a ton of great compartments and can expand. You can put a 13 inch laptop (i've put two in it), two pairs of shoes, and other essentials. This bag saves lives people! I've tried so many combinations of bags and suitcases and this is what works. Plus they are easy on the eyes.

Other travel essentials include my foldable Longchamp tote. I usually bring this as my purse on trips as you can fold it up in your duffle to get through security and on the plane. Then unfold it when you are ready to use it! That way you don't have to waste your personal item on a small purse. My Barefoot Dreams cardigan is a great travel piece as well. It's super cozy so it's great to wear on the plane or while you are hanging out in your hotel room. If the person your shopping for travels for work I recommend this little envelope to keep receipts in! Keeping a special place for receipts keeps me super organized on my work trips. Lastly I love these travel cubes! I've had them for a long time but they hold up great and help keep my suitcase organized.

Another great gift idea for the jetsetter on your list is gift cards to their preferred airline or money towards TSA pre-check! TSA pre-check saves lives people!!! I've had it for a while now and I zoom through security. I don't think I've ever waited more then 10min in the security line. It is amazing. Airline gift cards also make a great gift! In the past I got a Southwest gift card for Christmas and it helped me pay for a fun trip to visit friends. So, that is also another great idea to help the jetsetter your shopping for get to their next destination.

I hope you found this post helpful whether you are shopping for a travel queen or looking to up your travel system. These are all products I trust and I couldn't recommend them enough! Safe travels to all and to all a goodnight!

Sew Cute Holiday: Preppy Gift Guide

If you put the prep in preppy this gift guide is for you! Some of these items are daily essentials for me while others are currently on my wishlist. For the classic, timeless, and preppy girl any of these picks would make great gifts under their tree.

Items I own and love include my Bean Boots, Lele Sadoughi pearl headband, Monica Vinader bracelet, and a classic Gucci crossbody bag. Also, I adore my Barbour jacket, beanie, and scarf of course! These are all high quality items that I use on a weekly basis. Most of these items have a timeless feel. Assuring the recipient will keep these pieces for years to come.

My Lele Sadoughi headbands have quickly become my favorite accessory of the season. It really makes a difference investing in the real deal vs. a cheap knock off. The imitations are fine, but Lele headbands are made impeccably and are actually comfy. Another staple everyday piece for me is my Monica Vinader friendship bracelet. Don't worry you can still gift it to yourself! Or at least I did.... I wear this baby every. single. day. Yup, everyday! I love how classic and simple it is. Plus, it isn't super bulky but still makes a nice statement. Also, it easily stacks with my other bracelets.

The Gucci crossbody I included was a gift I received a while back. It is probably my most used designer bag I own! I think it is the perfect everyday size and fits my wallet, phone, lipstick, and other small essentials.

Preppy picks on my list this year include a MZ Wallace quilted tote and a Dudley Stephens fleece popover! I really think both of these pieces are classics that I'll wear season after season. Plus how cozy does that fleece popover look? And so chic!

What is on your preppy wishlist this year? Let me know in the comments!

Boho Chic Gift Guide

glam romper | Capri Blue candle | velvet skirt | floppy hat
ankle booties | long chain necklace | lacey bra top | dark lipstick
cool phone case | ring holder | stud earrings | lace socks
mix and match earring kit | textured skirt

Everyone has that one friend who can rock anything and everything hippie and boho. My have a few friends who can rock any of the pieces above. For myself I will stick to my preppy and classic style. But, any of these gifts would be great to gift the boho babe in your life.

I have an Capri Blue candle in the Volcano scent and it is purely amazing! A lot of small boutiques and stores like Anthropologie carry these candles or candles very similar. If you are from the Ames area Portobello Road boutique has a great selection of fabulous candles. But, if you are reading from somewhere else Anthropologie has a huge variety!

If she is an accessory girl I highly suggest a long dainty necklace or a fun pack of stud earrings. Delicate pieces are a boho girls go-to. If you know she is a ring person be sure to find a cute ring holder for her to hold her collection on.

For clothing pieces fun skirts, delicate bra tops, and awesome unique pieces are the way to go. Topshop, Free People, Urban Outfitters, and Anthropologie are all great places to find fabulous boho fashions.

For small stocking stuffers dark lipstick, a cool phone case, or a pair of lacey socks are great small gifts to throw in someones stocking!

What are your go-to boho pieces? Let me know in the comments!

Victoria Secret Gift Picks

Victoria Secret Gift Picks

1. A pari of cozy socks.

A robe is a super cozy gift for anyone on your list. Your friend or sister will love lounging around in a fuzzy oversized robe. Not to mention it will be perfect for opening up Christmas morning gifts.

3. Cozy sleep shirt.
Victoria Secret sleep shirts are my favorite. They are super comfy to sleep in and also come in some hilarious sayings.

4. A clever water bottle.
A PINK water bottle is an inexpensive stocking stuffer. You could even stuff it with candy and treats and give it to all your besties for a cute gift.
