Summer Style: Orange ya glad?

Juicy and bright
Orange has been a big trend for summer this year. Usually I am not a big orange or yellow person but they are both growing on me. These looks all incorporate some type of orange. Whether it is in a bag, shirt, or skirt or in an accessory anyone can incorporate orange into their everyday style.

Look 1: This look is pretty simple and easy. By pairing an orange top with jeans it creates a casual cute look. You can dress it up a bit with leather sandals and a bold statement necklace. For an extra orange pop wear a darker orange nail polish.

Look 2: For a more subtle orange look wear a simple solid color dress, I suggest black, and carry and orange handbag. I love this one from Henri Bendel. The size is perfect and the tassel is a super cute touch. Accessorize your look with a long gold necklace and metallic sandals for an easy summer look.

Look 3: A more edgy look includes an orange skirt with a white halter crop top. Pair this summery pair with a stack of orange friendship bracelets. This combination makes for an edgy boho look. Complete the look with leather sandals.

Hot Pink Nails

A punch of pink!

Here is my recent manicure colors. It features a bright magenta pink shade from Essie called the Girls Are Out. The pink has a slight silver sheen to it because it has some silver sparkles in it. For an accent nail I used Butter London's Shambolic. Together they create a fun and bright nail look!

Valentines Day Gift Ideas

Do you need a gift for a sweetheart for valentines day? Or do you want to get yourself something nice to make up for a single year (no shame girl power everyone)? Well here are some of my top picks of good valentines gift ideas!

What girl doesn't like getting some jewelry? Whoever you are shopping for a fun bracelet or ring is a great idea for a small gift. Alex and Ani has great bangles that can be super personal. Not to mention I am basically obsessed with them and I think they work for a lot of people. Or you could find a fun and bold bracelet from a site like Bauble Bar. In general jewelry is always a good route to go. Personally, I love getting a new bauble for my collection.

Lets say your girl is more into being comfy and casual. A fun pair of bright Uggs will not only keep her feet warm but they will look super cue with a pair of leggings or skinny jeans.

For a smaller gift think of a fun makeup item. Butter London nail polish, a YSL lip color, or a Bobbi Brown palette are good splurge beauty items that she wouldn't accept to get for valentines day. These will be a big hit because most girls don't splurge on makeup. But, when someone else does it they will love it!

Another great option is a fun bag. I love this bow Kate Spade bag and it would be a great option if your girlfriend (or yourself.....) isn't big into jewelry. Also, perfume is a great alternative to jewelry. I want the One Direction perfume but be sure to pick a scent that works for your girl! And don't be afraid to get a gift receipt just incase she doesn't like the scent.

One last small gift is a fun planner. This is a great idea if you are shopping for a college girl! I am obsessed with my planner and I wouldn't mind getting a cute one like this Kate Spade planner or a Lilly Pulitzer agenda.

Those are all of my Valentines gift ideas! So no matter who you are shopping for step outside of the box from the traditional candy and teddy bear and get something your girlfriend can actually use and enjoy.
(But still get candy... because girls love candy and food in general.)

Hope you have a fun Valentines day wether you are single or taken :)

New Years Eve Beauty Essentials

New Years Eve Beauty Essentials

NYE is a great night of the year to mix up your everyday makeup look. My best advice is to be BOLD. Try something that is out of your comfort zone. If you usually wear nude lips try a bold red. {Note to self a bold red lip is always okay on a holiday!}.

From my experience I love experimenting with lip products. I find it is the easiest way to switch up your look. Especially if you normally have your lips bare this will make a huge statement and it will add some color to your look. Also, a new trend I am seeing is a purple lip. So if you are feeling extra bold go for it!

Another fun thing to add to a NYE look is glitter or metallic nail polish. New Years eve is full of glamour so might as well deck out your nails too.

For me I love a cat eye look using liner. I find it the easiest to achieve with either a liquid liner or a gel.

Then lastly, glowy skin is also a good look. Pick yourself up some rosy blush to bright up your face. To add extra glow you can use a liquid or powder highlight.

Have a happy NYE!

Ultimate Stocking Stuffers!

Ultimate Stocking Stuffers!

Forever 21 is a great way to get inexpensive gifts for you and your girls! These small gifts are great for a gift exchange or stocking stuffers.
Cute socks or slippers are always a great option. For only around $3-5 you can totally score these for all your friends on your list. With fun patterns and even animal inspired these will for sure be a big hit.

I mean I always love a good statement necklace. This one is only around $7. It's a great staple item and has a really cool texture.
Next is a super cute beanie. Beanies I feel like are super in style this season. They aren't only cute but they will keep you warm in the chilly months ahead. I also love this mint color and the adorable pom pom on top.

A ring holder will keep your friends organized and have something cute to put on their desks. And PJ pants are never a bad thing. These polka dot ones are only around $6! What a steal!

Nordstrom is always a good option for gifts. BP has some super cute stuff that would make great gifts! Like a NYX nail polish set. They have them in multiple color collections so you can pick the one best for your giftee.
A statement necklace and watch are also great options. Who doesn't love getting some new accessories?

I know I am obsessed with lip products, so I'm sure other people are.... Maybe not but lip gloss sets and other beauty products are a fun gift for a beauty lover.

Also nail polish is the perfect gift for any girl! A new polish will make great stocking stuffers for your sorority sisters or bffs.
Infinity scarves are my new love. They are cozy and fashionable. The ones from Nordstrom are super cute!

Check out these fun gifts from Aerie

This adorable mug is the ultimate gift for a fashionista!

Camping Chic

I always think how cool it would be to go camping. Sitting in a teepee with twinkling lights or something.
Then I remember that I hate the outdoors. But, if I were to go camping of course it would be as chic as possible.

If I were to go "glamping" (anyone catch that Project Runway reference?) these are some things that I would wear.

The outfit on the right is a cozy look perfect for just chilling out. A chunky sweater paired with a pair of dark wash jeans is the ultimate cozy outfit. Pair the look with an infinite scarf and boots are you are good to go.

But, lets say you are going to have a romantic dinner around a fire. {Unrealistic I know but we will go with it.} I would wear a super cute flannel along with a military inspired skirt. Ankle booties are a great option for not only comfort but style. Finishing the look I would wear a chunky statement necklace.

Makeup would for sure include a metallic nail polish and a red lip.

Camping Chic

So this is my ideal scenario of a chic camping trip. Let's be honest who doesn't want to be Sarah? Of course I don't live the fabulous life that she does but I can't help but want to mimic her cozy style.
