F’ing Updates

Halloween is right around the corner.  I’m sure there are tons of people frantically searching for that last minute Halloween costume.  Don’t look here; I’ve been planning my costume for months.  But there are some things going on that will be affecting That F’ing Monkey and I wanted to talk about them before they happen.

First off I’ll be spending this Saturday at the Spooky Empires convention.  This horror convention is full of all those wonderful horror actors like Bill Moseley and Doug Bradley.  I’m going because Ricou Browning and Julie Adams from Creature From the Black Lagoon are going to be there.  I’ve talked about my love for that movie numerous times so I’m really excited to see them.  I have no idea why George “the Animal” Steele is going to be there, but I’m excited to see him too!

I am going to be without internet for a large portion of next week.  This was pretty last minute so I haven’t been building a backlog of articles to run while I’m away.  So there may not be any updates the week of Halloween.  I’m going to do what I can but I can’t promise anything at this time. This is only for that week, after that we’ll be back to normal.

Cadbury Screme Egg

Every Easter I have one Cadbury’s Crème Egg. It’s about all I can handle; those things are like sugar over load. But much like Peeps, Cadbury has decided they wanted to sell their candy more than once a year. So because of that we now have Cadbury Screme Eggs.

I’ve got to go pick up some last minute Halloween candy tonight, just in case we actually get any trick or treaters tomorrow. If I run across any Screme Eggs I’ll pick up a couple. You know, for science.

Alice Cooper and Halloween Horror Nights

You become pretty numb to theme parks when you grow up in Orlando. Every once in a while there is an announcement that gets you excited. Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios is always interesting and some of their themes can be pretty fun. This year they’ve already announced house based on the Walking Dead and on the video game series Silent Hill. Now they’ve announced a house based on Alice Cooper.

The Orlando Universal studios are going to have a house called Alice Cooper’s Welcome to My Nightmare. The Halloween Horror Night’s website describes it like this: “Journey into legendary rocker Alice Cooper’s twisted mind and witness the natural melding of horror and Cooper’s four decades-long career. Here you will follow Steven, the iconic character from many of Cooper’s works, as you come face to face with a myriad of tormentors who threaten an already-decaying sense of sanity.”

Last year the Los Angeles Horror Nights already had an Alice Cooper house. So it sounds like Orlando is getting a version of that one. Los Angeles is getting a new Cooper maze this year called Alice Cooper Goes to Hell. I’ve been an fan of Alice Cooper since middle school. I’m thrilled that such an horror themed entertainer is still going strong. This kind of news just makes me happy.

This is Halloween

Happy Halloween all! Us here at That F'ing Monkey love us some dress up, so it is no surprise that we love Halloween. This year I have been a bit too busy to get my normal hard core costume together so I just threw on my old Ravenclaw Quidditch robes for the Saturday festivities and called it a night.

Ravenclaw: We think we are way smarter than you

If you are looking to get into the spirit of the day go and order your copy of Zombie Dickheads if you have not already. I got mine last week. I tell ya that Moreno guy may smell a bit funny but he sure does have quick postage. Also the book is an awesomely fun read and will leave a smile on your face. Perhaps in the next few weeks I will do a full review, so stay tuned.

So what did you do for this Samhain? Let us know in the comments or on our Facebook page, and if you have pictures of the masquerade parties let us see them as well.

And just encase you thought ridiculously elaborate light shows were just for Christmas here ya go..
