Over the moon: Zeiss celebrates 100 years with limited edition sunglasses from Simon Chim
Carl Zeiss only usually gets a mention here towards the end of my posts on high-end sunglasses, a mere footnote to confirm that, as one might expect, this or that particular brilliant pair of sunglasses comes with Zeiss lenses.
Here Zeiss, famed for its lenses of all varieties (camera, microscope, medical, etc), celebrates 100 years with a special collection designed by Simon Chim, the Hong Kong designer behind Recycle Paper Frames.
Chim uses his technique of wrapping the frame in paper – relevant to Zeiss's history such as the first camera on the moon – before hand polishing.

Super collaborate with WeSC - superlative sunglasses
Retro Super Future has collaborated with Swedish brand WeSC (WeAreTheSuperlativeConspiracy) to create these great black sunglasses. They come with black mirrored Zeiss lenses, with a spare set of rock-hard "pure black" lenses. Limited edition: 500 pieces.
Great bridge and clever incorporation of the WeSC logo at the hinge.
