I rudely failed to ask this super-stylish sunglass wearer's name this morning, too busily admiring her shades in my bumbling "Can-I-take-a-picture-of-you-in-your-sunglasses-for-my-blog?" way. Suffice to say, these shades are great: Thierry Lasry's sunglasses of the highest order. I think they're Abusy 903 like these below, similar to the Thierry Lasry sunglasses featuring 1980s vintage acetates featured here in October. Yum.

Thierry Lasry has been collaborating again, this time with French design house L'Ecurie. Once again, the material and build looks amazing.

Thierry Lasry has teamed up with DC Comics and Warner Bros to create these Plastic Man glasses for the ubercool Parisian concept store Colette. The right lens features 200 hand-set Swarovski crystals.

Other designers involved in the comic book collaboration for the boutique, celebrating 75 years of DC Comics, included Karl Lagerfeld, Sonia Rykiel and Balmain.

Sretsis autumn-winter 2010 daisy sunglasses, made in collaboration with Thierry Lasry - is he sourcing the best acetate of the year?

Each model has daisies in the corners but its the acetate itself that holds most of the detail.

There are two styles, Asphixy and Vulgary - hover over the images for descriptions.

Sretsis (sisters backwards) is the brand of Thai designer Pim Sukhahuta.

Thierry Lasry - beautiful colourful acetates for the summer

Thierry Lasry is one of those modern designers brave enough to really tackle vintage influences and bring them into modern styles. I love the Mazzucchelli acetate on these two styles above. Lasry, based in Paris, only launched in 2007 but he has already established a brand to watch. Below are Spready 00 (left) and Spready 101 (right), and above are Asphexy (top) and Nylony.
