Yesterday Ronald Cheng and his wife Sammie Yu hosted a birthday party for their 1 year old daughter (Emma). Ronald was seen carrying his daughter out of the hotel when they were greeted by reporters. When Emma saw reporters, she looked very interested and curious. The father and daughter had some resemblance, but Emma had bigger eyes than her father Ronald. It turns out Emma had little shoes on, but she kicked them off and so her father had to carry her out, revealing her 'meaty legs', very cute!

After putting his daughter into the car, Ronald accepted an interview. He expressed he gave his daughter an inflatable pool, but there won't be any special celebration after, just have dinner at home.

Congratulations to Ronald Cheng, officially becoming a father. Ronald and former iCable anchor Sammie Yue's baby girl is born! Another good news in the entertainment industry.

April 2011, the media uncovered Ronald's girlfriend Sammie, whom he haven't dated for too long at the time, was pregnant. Later, Ronald confirmed the good news through his management (Gold Label) and the couple registered for marriage on the 20th of last month (June). As a responsible man, Ronald wants to give Sammie and his unborn child a proper status. Although it was rumored Sammie is expected to due on September 10th, the other day sudden rumors broke out that the baby was already born. Initially filming in Mainland, Ronald flew back to HK immediately to accompany his fiance in the delivery room. Yesterday at 5pm, Ronald sent a SMS to his company, Gold Label, to announce to the media that his daughter is born on his behalf. He said: "Thank you for all your concern, Sammie and my daughter are all doing well. Tomorrow, I will be going back to Beijing to continue shooting."

39 year old Ronald Cheng settled his divorce with ex-wife Charlene Choi earlier this year. Several months later, it was exposed that he got together with 31 year old Sammie Yue, a iCable anchor, a year ago and is now pregnant. It was also said that Sammie is carrying a baby girl and is expected to due in October this year.

Becoming a father, Ronald carried out a secret approach in the last several months to avoid his pregnant girlfriend from the media, so he deliberately 'hid' her away. Earlier besides renting a place at Quarry Bay for Sammie, he also issued a statement confirming her pregnancy. However, the statement did not explain if they had any plans for marriage.

Yesterday Ronald and Sammie were spotted in Central at about 2pm. When the driver dropped them off of their 7-seater van, the couple quickly walked into the shopping center. It was seen that they were in the baby store. At the store, Ronald was picking out baby bottles, nipples, baby bids and other necessities for their baby.

When Ronald discovered that there were reporters following and taking pictures, he was extremely shocked. Since reporters saw the colors Ronald was picking out, it is suspected that their baby is a girl.

After spending half an hour at the baby store, the couple walked out hand-in-hand. When Sammie saw reporters kept taking photos of her, she often tried to hide behind her mask and kept her hand on her stomach. Then Ronald took his girlfriend into another baby store to look at baby beds, however after 5 minutes they left.

When Ronald and Sammie were getting back into their car, reporters approached them and asked of the baby's gender. He did not answer and only said: "Can you all not push." By his side, Sammie quickly kept her head down and got into the car. Ronald first carefully helped his girlfriend into the car before he got in.

Earlier Sammie also asked iCable to terminate her contract and iCable's managing director confirmed the news yesterday. He said: "I already congratulated her. (Is the baby Ronald's?) That I am not sure." Once admitted that Sammie's iCable contract was not over yet, but he said: "But she's pregnant. (Does she have to compensate for the early contract termination?) Not necessary. (Give her a big gift?) It's not like that."

Both Ronald and Sammie have not responded yet, but [Oriental Daily] contacted Ronald's father. When he heard reporters congratulating him for becoming a grandfather, he said: "I'm sorry, I am busy, call me later." However, he could not be contacted at all.

According to the Hong Kong media reported Ronald Cheng and Charlene Choi (Ah Sa) admitted to their marriage and divorce March of last year, ending their 6 year relationship. At the press conference, Ronald was sniffling, in tears and appeared unwilling to separate. However, unexpectedly, he turned around and got together with 31 year old female iCable anchor (Sammie Yu). The relationship sparked in April last year, at first it was just a playing around, but after a year of dramatic development, the couple are already at the marriage stage. Recently, Sammie resigned from her position as iCable's female lead anchor and is wholeheartedly ready to be a bride in October!

Since the "Ronald-Sammie" relationship broke out last April, there were constant rumors of them flirting with each other. Last month on Valentine's Day, Sammie uploaded a picture of roses on Weibo, expressing that she received flowers. That same night, Ronald uploaded a picture of roses too, and the packaging seems the same as the one Sammie shared.

In February, Sammie took a month off for Lunar New Year and had not returned to work since. Her name was also taken off of the iCable schedule, turns out that she secretly resigned from the job. Before her break, she expressed to other anchors that she is longing for a wedding. She smiled: "Maybe I married way before you did!" An insider reveals: "She was like that every time, last time she almost got married with her ex-boyfriend. Every time she sees someone she would say she's getting married soon and already sent in her resignation letter. Later just a step further before reaching her goal, Zoie (the other iCable lead anchor) stole it. Fortunately she didn't resign yet, just sadly continue to rely on herself. However, she's very smart, in such a short period, she found herself another target. This time, she really did resign, she should be able to get marry this time. I heard she's not having any pregnancy protections, her wedding is tentatively set for October."

Ronald Cheng and Charlene Choi divorced March 2010. Half a year later, they both found their other halves. Yesterday, it was reported that Ronald gave brand name gifts to her, paid for her rent and served as her driver. Yesterday Sammie accepted an interview and clarified the rumors. She strongly stressed that she and Ronald are "in the middle of developing", and does not want to talk too much about her personal life.

Recently, there were media reports of Charlene Choi and Ronald Cheng’s marriage certificate being exposed. Although the 2 both clarified their break-up to reporters, it seemed that the media refused to give up and continued publishing false reports. Hence today, the 2 decided to hold a press conference together.

This afternoon at 4pm, Ronald left his apartment and headed straight to the Jin Pai Da Feng office building. He looked very frustrated, and when reporters gathered around him, asking about the news of his marriage certificate being exposed, he replied: “See you all soon!” and then headed quickly into the lift.

At approximately 6pm, a large number of media arrived and there were over 100 reporters present. Everyone was waiting anxiously for the 2 main leads to appear.

At approximately 6:30pm, the 2 came out together to face the reporters, with a solemn expression on both their faces.

Ronald began his speech: “The marriage rumours are true. In 2006, we very happily made the decision to get married, and our parents both agreed for us to get married in Los Angeles. Both of us felt that there was no need for us to announce it to everyone. We both decided to handle the situation like that, but over the years, there have been many false media reports, hence now we have decided to hold this press conference. Today will also be the last time we make a statement regarding this matter. Throughout these years, I have been very happy with Ah Sa, growing together, but after deepening our understanding of each other, we both decided that breaking up would be better for both of us. I want to stress again, the reason for our break-up was not due to a third party; the false reports the public have been reading are not true. Our divorce procedure is currently in progress, and we will do everything that is legally required.”

After finishing, Ronald was immediately moved to tears, and Charlene also handed some tissues to him. He continued: “Although me & Ah Sa are no longer going to be husband-and-wife,but we had a good and happy time together. And we hope that we will still remain friends in the future. Thank you everyone and we hope that everyone will give us our own space.”

After Ronald concluded his speech, Ah Sa choked back tears and expressed: “From when me and Ronald first met, to dating and finally to marriage, we agreed on every decision. And our marriage was not just our decision, we also got the support from our family and friends. We felt that there was no need to announce it to everyone, and we hoped that it could be our own little secret between us. Unfortunately, it seems like artists are not entitled to their privacy. We are still good friends. I hope that everyone can give us more space, and I also hope that me & Ronald’s life from now on can be happy.”

Finally, Ah Sa gave thanks to everyone and concluded the press conference.

Charlene Choi (Ah Sa) disclosed yesterday that she and Ronald Cheng have ended their 6 years love affairs. Ah Sa was in Beijing attending a promotion activity for the movie "Beauty On Duty" yesterday. The reporters kept asking her whether she has accepted Ronald's proposal? Ah Sa was in flood of tears and she told the reporters that they have in fact split up for a while. However, Ah Sa said they are still friends.

Yesterday, a magazine reported that Ah Sa and Ronald secretly got married in Los Angeles in 2006, parents from both of them attended the wedding ceremony. iT gave everybody a shock to hear that they have split up. Ah Sa said "We have split up for a while. We didn't intend to bring it to the open, but there have been so many rumors about us recently. I feel I have to clarify our relationship now. We have separated because we have understood each other so well, not because of a third person or the wedding rumor. We have good memories together and we are still friends." As Sa was in tears and she added "This is the last time I will talk about my person affairs. I have split up with him for a long time and I hope the media don't portray us as a happy couple. We are not together anymore." The reporters were all stunned after hearing that. Afterwards, some reporters contacted Ronald who was in Chengdu to clarify if it is true that he and Ah Sa have separated, Ronald told the reporter it is true that they have split up a long time ago and they are still friends.

Ah Sa and Ronald were working on the movie "Sniper August 15" in 2004. They were dating underground for a while. It was not a good start because Ronald has been in trouble for being drunken and disorderly. Ah Sa has been busy working on her own since "Twins" were disbanded. They didn't spend a lot of time together. Also because they were seeing each other secretly, they could only spend time together staying indoors. Most of the time were spent at home watching DVD or out some where far away from the crowd for dinner or to watch a movie.

Ronald spends a lot of time abroad, but Ah Sa often knows his where about. If she can't find him, she gets very jealous and upset. That is why last year, Ronald made a point of talking about his girl friend in public. He also mentioned about getting married. Even recently, when he had a magazine interview, he still maintained that he is saving up to get married. There was another rumor that Ah Sa had thought about getting married to him, but she is not 100% confident about their relationship. Since the Edison Chan/Gillian Chung's (Ah Gill) sex scandal, Ah Sa has learned how to protect herself. Ah Sa and Ronald started having different directions and goals in life, leading to their separation.

In January, Ah Sa had an interview by MingPao. She gave some hints about the state of their relationship, but did not reveal that they have split up. She said she has discovered that there are more important things in her life than love and relationship. She was hoping to change her lifestyle. Last month, Ah Sa and Ah Gill were guests in Stephen Chan's "Be My Guest". Stephen asked her if she is worried that her boyfriend had a lot of history of love affairs? Ah Sa said "He wouldn't be my boyfriend if he is flirting around. But everyone has a history, so is he and so am I. Nobody is perfect. The most important thing is whether we can get along well together."

Ronald and Louis attended a film company dinner last night. Ronald had repeatedly been asked if he had spent Valentine's Day with Charlene Choi. He would use Louis as a shield from time to time to avoid the topic, even Louis couldn't help but asked him why he was blushing and also later left Ronald to face the media himself. When asked Ronald if he knew whether or not Ah Sa had watched "All Well Ends Well Too 2010" yet, he says "I did well, she knows." Will he buy all the tickets and watch it privately with Ah Sa? He replies, "Not good, don't want to not let others be able to watch the movie." Louis Koo standing beside teased him for blushing and asked if he was shy. Ronald says, "Yes ah, I actually got frostbite." He revealed that he had called Ah Sa along with her family during the Chinese New Year for greetings. Asked if he had given a camera as Valentine's Day present, he says "Sandra Ng Kwan Yu exposed it already so didn't end up giving la. Up to now still had not send anything, let me think about it again." Reporters suggested him to give heart-shaped raddish cake and Ronald laughed, "Too old school, I will know what to do next time."
