37 year old Sam Lee said goodbye to singlehood, marries his girlfriend Pae of many years. Yesterday afternoon the couple registered for marriage and held the bride pick-up ceremony. In the evening, the newly weds hosted a 39 table wedding banquet inviting family and friends. Many good friends from the industry including Cheung Tat Ming, Edison Chen, Eason Chan and his wife Hilary Tsui, Daniel Wu and his wife Lisa S, Dayo Wong, Edmond Leung and his wife, Wilfred Lau, Grace Huang, Timmy Hung, Eric Tsang, etc.

At about 7pm, Cheung Tat Ming who is currently recovering from his illness, arrived at the hotel with a T-shirt, jacket and hat. He seem very high-spirited and did a MJ pose for pictures. He expressed: "I'm ok. Today I have to come out and celebrate with Sam. I'm happy that he's so handsome, but staying for dinner won't be too good." It was understood a few years ago, Cheung and Sam collaborated in several films, so they have become good friends.

Wilfred arrived alone, when reporters asked why he didn't bring girlfriend Joey Yung along? He responded: "Chiu! Today Sam Lee is getting married, I wish him to have a baby soon and be successful." Reporters continued to ask about Joey, he tried to avoid all questions and made up several excuses, "I have to go upstairs to see what performances there are" and "The brothers are calling me".

Yesterday morning at the bride pick-up ceremony, Sam had 16 groomsmen and the bride had 8 bridesmaids; Sam gave 5 figures lucky money at the door to pick up his wife.

As for his plans to have children, Sam said: "It should be after two years. Wait until I finish shooting my series. On January 1st, my wife and I are going to Maldives for our honeymoon." When asked if it was difficult at the bride pick-up? He expressed: "The groomsmen and I had to peel bananas with our mouth. It was all wet and mushy, very nasty." Sam gave out wedding invitations to the cast of Ghetto Justice, but unfortunately the majority of them are filming series elsewhere, only Jazz Lam is in HK. He sighed TVB has no heart and were unwilling to let them take the day off.

Comedian Cheung Tat Ming personally confirmed on Weibo earlier this month that he is suffering a serious illness and good friend Anthony Wong confirmed it was cancer. Also, due to the chemotherapy, he suffered severe side effects including paralysis in the hands and feet and a rapid decline in his overall health. It was rumored he has colorectal cancer, but Cheung Tat Ming maintains a positive spirit and is constantly encouraging the younger generation on Weibo.

In the recent month, Cheung Tat Ming has been focused entirely on treating his illness at home, but yesterday he appeared as a guest speaker at a stand-up comedy show for mental health. This is also his first public appearance since he fell ill. He currently hopes to bring positive energy and help those with mental illness face adversity. Cheung Tat Ming truly deserves the respect as he is still giving back to the community despite being seriously ill.

Before the show started, the MC made a special announcement thanking Cheung Tat Ming for his support. The audience cheered loudly and applauded, one elderly man shouted: "You are so skinny!" Although Cheung Tat Ming is sick, he still had a lot of power when he was speaking, but had to sit down in the between to rest. He even happily cracked a joke: "Other people do stand-up comedies, but I'm doing a sit-down comedy."

He spoke for about 15 minutes, but stayed until the show ended before leaving. As he was leaving, he invited reporters to come interview him. He said: "I'm doing okay, but just feel some numbness when I walk. I have to get check-ups regularly. (Were you stressed when you first found out about having cancer?) Yes, luckily I'm a comedian, so I know how to relax and look on the bright side."

48 year old Cheung Tat Ming is impatient and playful. He had always been an activist in the entertainment circle, but in the recent month he suddenly disappeared and rarely appears in public. Last week, it was rumored he has cancer. The media followed him for 48 hours and discovered the isolated Tat Ming had turned into a stick figure with severe hair loss and he looked haggard. Last Thursday, he was spotted in Causeway Bay at a clinic and was seen lacking physical coordination. He deliberately put on a cap and mouth mask to hide his appearance, but when asked if he had cancer? He denied: "My illness is pretty serious, I don't know how long I have to rest for."

Cheung Tat Ming began his career after graduating from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. He is an talented artist, who has participated in films, TV series, musicals and dubbing work. He's also a successful comedian, who has had stand-up comedy shows at the Hong Kong Coliseum.

After Tat Ming appeared at Andy Lau's fan gathering to do a standup comedy show, he was rarely seen in public thereafter. Recently he even stopped playing with his favorite Weibo and basically cut off all relations with the public. "Tat Ming hasn't appeared in a long time, a friend said he's dark and dry now. He lost a lot of hair and is very skinny. Really not sure if it's sick or not." A reader said.

Reporters spent the last 48 hours following Tat Ming and were surprised to see him avoiding the cameras. When asked of his current health condition? He forced a smile: "My illness is pretty serious. Of course I won't be working while I'm sick. I don't know how long I have to rest for. (It was rumored you have cancer?) Whatever, you all can guess what it is and say whatever you want." With that, Tat Ming called a taxi and left. Reporters discovered the clinic Tat Ming was at, is a clinic specialized in providing services to help patients clean out their arteries and veins. According to one of the staff at the clinic, reveals: "An average patient who has gone through chemotherapy or are undergoing chemotherapy have a lot of residue in their arteries and veins. Also, their immune system is very weak. Cleaning out the arteries/veins helps purify the body and make the person feel better."

Good friend Anthony Wong reveals Tat Ming had cancer before: "I cannot say what type of cancer he had, but he has already recovered from it! He's already all better." But his good friend is losing a lot of hair and is very skinny now, Anthony said: "That is the side effects of chemotherapy. Of course a sick person will lose weight! He already found a doctor, and is all better! He's fine, you all don't have to worry."

Cheung Tat Ming's stand up comedy (細路教壞系列之一於做壞旦) was held last night at Queen Elizabeth Stadium. Tat Ming appeared on stage in rock and roll devil style.

Tat Ming started off with a 'bad egg' song to give the audience a warm up, but this got the audience very high. His voice was a hoarse, but he joked that even if his voice is worst than Eason Chan's, then he still won't give audience back the money. He also had a pack of cigarettes on stage, and asked audience if they smoked or not. If the fine was HK$1,500, he would pay for it. However, the 'smoke' that he was talking about was in literal sense, really ingesting the cigarette and also had to eat the cigarette box too. (In Chinese, smoking is said as 'eat smoke')

He then went through the 'bad eggs' within the entertainment circle one by one. He laughed: "The one who beat the pilot Ronald Cheng, the one who pees all over the streets Vincent Chiu, the one who buys AV discs Jan Lamb, scissors feet Amigo Chui, random group of farmers Francis Ng and taking a knife not letting people move out of their homes Eddie King." Coincidentally Eddie King was also at the show to support him, Tat Ming then tried to fix what he said and told him it's purely a joke, don't be upset.

To get audience even more wilder, Tat Ming pulled a female audience up on stage to rip off his top and trousers. He had a fish net underneath and revealed his nipples. Everyone was laughing until their stomachs hurt.
