Rumour has it that Hong Kong artiste Eric Tsang and TVB starlet Meini Cheung are in a "special relationship," as the latter has been spotted accompanying the veteran actor to various events for the past few months.

Eric included Meini in his entourage that consisted of several artistes such as Jordan Chen, Michael Miu, Nancy Wu, Jaime Chik and Toby Leung, to a dinner function held in a Macau casino recently. Although the actress did not perform on stage, she was seen by his side throughout the event, mingling and taking photos with the sponsors.

After the dinner, Eric booked a nightclub to throw a party for Meini, whose birthday is in March, and the group only returned to their hotel at 3am.

Sources revealed that the two were not on intimate terms until former Miss Hong Kong Kayi Cheung introduced them to each other six months ago. Meini is said to have kept close contact with Eric, attending parties in sexy outfits and delighting the actor with her wit and outgoing personality.

Since then, Eric has reportedly brought her along on all events and has created a number of job opportunities for her, especially in China.

Despite singing praises about the actor's generosity, Meini denied the rumours when asked about her relationship with the actor, saying 'Everyone knows I have a boyfriend.'

Yesterday Lunar New Year film I Love Hong Kong 2013 held the premiere at Sunbeam Theatre. The cast including Eric Tsang, Alan Tam, Veronica Yip, Bosco Wong, Kate Tsui and Nat Chan attended dressed in 70s costumes.

Earlier it was rumored Eric invited Tony Leung (Ka Fai), Carina Lau, Veronica Yip, Chow Yun Fat, Sandra Ng and Chow Yun Fat back to shoot TVB series. Eric frankly expressed in principle, Tony already agreed. When asked if he'll personally do the acting in the series as well? He said: "Tony is willing to film the series, I'm willing to accompany him. However, Carina won't be able to do it this year. Andy Lau, we're still discussing, it's based on the script. Chow Yun Fat, too distant! I didn't even know Tony actually debuted from the TVB Artistes Training class, he even said he's bleeding TVB's blood." Eric frankly expressed the earliest this series can happen is late 2013.

As for Veronica, when asked if Eric invited her to participate in a series? She frankly expressed: "I've met the producer, scriptwriter and the story is quite attractive. However, my husband said before that this film would be my last time, so it the series probably won't happen. I really want to be in the series because its the same crew from A Simple Life. I really enjoy just reading about the character, just this feeling is money can't buy. (Just apologize to your husband!) I don't even dare to mention it, don't dare to think about it! (Tell him to watch this film first!) If I let him watch it, then I'm in deeper trouble!" Veronica expressed although the crew is really good, she can only helplessly say no.

Also, it was said Bosco Wong 'owned' two women while shooting in Mainland. He said the two were his assistants. Bosco laughed: "I'm so busy filming, how will I have the energy to own two girls." He also said he does not know about ex-girlfriend Myolie Wu expressing that she's dating. He said: "Good girls will have many pursuers." It was said Carina Lau, who had once praised him, will be filming a series? He expressed if he's able to collaborate with her, he can do anything. As for Kate Tsui, she expressed she really hopes to collaborate with Chow Yun Fat.

The artist drug use scandal led to a slapping incident involving Eric Tsang and Suki Tsui's husband Kenny Wong. Yesterday Eric was arrested and caught everyone's attention. Eric allegedly slapped Kenny Wong at a wedding party. He was released on bail last night, but the arrest did not affect his mood. Eric still invited his good friends out to play soccer and waved to reporters. When asked about his arrest, Eric said: "Actually, I don't have much to say because the case is still under investigation. I believe there is justice in the law!"

When speaking of how he's feeling, Eric expressed after the incident, he felt there feelings among people in this world. He said: "I'm very happy that so many people care about me. Since 8am this morning, my phone has been ringing nonstop! Even those whom I haven't been in touched with called! (Extremely worried?) All my friends are worried! (Report back to the police next month?) Just changing the guarantor!"

Eric later threw a "Last Second Dooms Day" party where he and his celebrity friends had a feast. When asked if he'll avoid drinking? Eric was already feeling high as he said he will continue to enjoy drinking: "Of course I'm drinking! It's last second!"

Meanwhile, after Kenny reported to the police that Eric slapped him at the wedding party, it was understood he told the police he had a celebrity witness. However, when the police talked to that witness, [he/she] said "I didn't see anything". Yesterday Kenny appeared at the Central police station to supply more information about the case. His wife, Suki Tsui, accompanied him to the police station.

Actor-director-producer Eric Tsang Chi-wai was arrested yesterday on allegations of slapping businessman Kenny Wee (Wong) Ho in an Admiralty hotel earlier this month.

Wee, husband of Suki Chui Suk-man, a 2006 Miss Hong Kong contestant, told police earlier that Tsang slapped him in a dispute at a wedding party at the Marriott Hotel.

A police spokesman confirmed that a man surnamed Tsang, 59, was arrested at Central police station yesterday in connection with a common assault and criminal intimidation case. The man was bailed and ordered to report back in mid-January.

A police source confirmed the arrested man was Eric Tsang.

Tsang said: "[I was just] assisting [the police] investigation. I can only say this much."

The source said Wee insisted to police that Tsang had slapped him. The actor was arrested when he was invited to Central police station for investigation.

Tsang, who was accompanied by a lawyer, has denied the allegations, the source said.

Earlier, Canto-pop singer Eason Chan Yik-shun and wife Hilary Tsui Ho-ying denied Tsui was a drug abuser amid claims a video had been shot showing celebrities taking drugs at Wee's restaurant. Chan's lawyer complained that someone was attempting to criminally intimidate his client with a "so-called video clip".

The lawyer also brought up another incident involving Tsui and a female friend at the restaurant.

The board of the restaurant, which is headquartered in Taiwan, issued a statement yesterday saying that what the lawyer had raised was libellous and it would reserve its legal rights.

On the video clip rumours, the statement said there was a notice at the entrance advising of CCTV cameras in the restaurant that were there to protect customers' safety and the restaurant's property, but it did not elaborate.

Eric Tsang seemed unfazed by the recent public's speculations on his alleged heated exchange with Kenny Wong that happened last Wednesday. He appeared at Shatin Racecourse in Hong Kong yesterday to support his stallion, accompanied by celebrity good friends Natalis Chan, Alan Tam and Bennett Pang.
Alan even teased Eric by reenacting the dispute scene, amusingly "slapped" Eric twice on his cheeks and "assaulted" Bennett.
Despite his jibes at Eric, Alan commented, "He's [Eric's] most likely the victim rather than the culprit in this incident."
Other celebrities in the Hong Kong showbiz industry have also showed support for the veteran artiste. Natalis expressed that Eric is like a "little lamb" and he was "always the one who got assaulted" previously.
Actress Sandra Ng said, "I fully support Eric. I believe he's been taken advantage of by someone. I am not commenting any further."
Kenny, husband of actress Suki Wong, caused a stir in Hong Kong's entertainment industry recently when he claimed he had a video clip of celebrities taking drugs in his restaurant last year.
It was reported that 23 Hong Kong artistes were involved in the drug party, which included daughter of Macau casino magnate Josie Ho, Eason Chan's wife Hilary Tsui, newly married singer Grace Ip and Cantonese hip-hop group LMF.
Rumour has it that Kenny exchanged blows with a couple of artistes at former Miss Hong Kong participant Karman Cheng's wedding banquet last Wednesday night. He was reportedly slapped by a person in the midst of the tussle and Eric, who appeared drunk at the banquet, was the biggest suspect.
When Eric turned up in TVB last Saturday to host a charity show, he told reporters that he had "no comment and it was not a right time to respond, as the case has been handed over to the police".
However, Eric was believed to snub Kenny indirectly when he told reporters, "My neighbour's dog has been barking non-stop all night these few days. The mad growling dog is so annoying that it has affected almost everyone in the entire area."

Eric Tsang, Suki Tsui and her husband Kenny Wong attended former Miss HK Karman Cheng's wedding on Dec. 5th. Kenny ends up calling the police stating that someone, who was drunk, slapped him and he had to go to hospital to check his injury. It was said Eric was the one who slapped Kenny, but there are several other versions of the story, making it a hot topic in the industry.

Since that incident, Eric had not appeared in public, even at yesterday's blessing ceremony for TVB's Tung Wah Chairty Show 2012 until the rehearsal at 1pm, Eric was no where to be found. However, TVB executive Virgina Lok promised Eric will definitely be there. At around 3pm, Eric finally appeared and seem quite relaxed, he even smiled for pictures and then expressed: "I only have one thing to say, no comment because someone reported the case [to the police], I cannot talk about what happened that night." As for Eason Chan and Hilary Tsui's press conference, Eric said he talked to Eason on the phone afterwards: "I said good! He went to Shanghai for work and I'm back at TVB. We're busy with our own work!"

Eric emphasized the incident did not affect his mood at all. Then suddenly changed the subject, he expressed recently a neighbor got a mad howling dog, who likes to eat poop. "He's been affecting my life. The dog howls every night and the other neighbors always complain, but the dog owner said the dog is awesome, he only howls when he sees thieves or ghosts. I said to him, the security here is great! There won't be thieves! He said their will definitely be thieves or moles around. I thought that was just too strange, I had all the lights on last night, no thieves, no ghosts! He then picked up his dog and left. Then he added, his dog is actually blind and can't see anything! The dog is a little crazy too! I asked him why is he still keeping the dog then? It turns out, the dog doesn't need dog food or rice, all he eats is poop! Then we all forgave him!" When asked if he's still under police investigation? Eric expressed he cannot comment.

A few nights ago Eric Tsang, Suki Tsui and her husband Kenny Wong appeared at the J.W Marriott Hotel for former Miss HK Karman Cheng and Chan Chi Ho's (the son of Sun Hei Football Team leader) wedding. Eric got really drunk at the wedding and bumped into Kenny. Apparently, Eric was displeased by how he handled the whole 'celebrity drug use' incident, where celebrities were caught on video using drugs at Kenny's restaurant. The two eventually got into a dispute. Someone shouted: "[You] butthead, causing so much trouble! You're even messing with your own people!" Another person angrily fired back: "What! I have money, super ** awesome!" ('**' censors the profanity) Then someone slapped Kenny and in the chaos, someone else struck Eric's head and shouted: "I'm going to get someone to ** you!" Then Eric refuted: "Stupid! You ** mess with me, you'll be in ** deep trouble!" At this point, the two were in mutual hostility. Timmy Hung and other guests immediately pulled Kenny away. Eventually, the police arrived at the scene and apparently there were people from the 'underworld' (gangsters) that arrived to see what was happening.

The 'slapping' incident shocked the entertainment industry. However, there is another version of the story. It was rumored the drunken Kenny encountered Eric, who was also drunk, but in this story, Kenny took initiative and asked Eric for help. He said Eric has status in the 'underworld', so he hoped he could help him settle all the gossips and misunderstanding. When Eric asked if there really was celebrities using drugs at his restaurant, someone said there is no video clip that exists. Eric was immediately upset and someone scolded Kenny that he's causing so much trouble and then the person slapped Kenny!

That night, after Kenny got slapped, he left the wedding and called the police. His wife, Suki Tsui, accompanied him to the Queen Mary Hospital for check up. Yesterday morning, Kenny and his wife were prepared to leave in the police car, but were surrounded by over 20 reporters.

Eric Tsang was accompanied by good friends Benjamin Lam and Michael Miu to Central police station for investigation. Because Eric had not sober up yet, thus couldn't give his statement and nobody witnessed him slapping Kenny, he was released until he sobers up. The police will invite him back at a later time.

Reporters contacted Kenny, he said the incident has already been passed to the police, therefore he cannot comment. However, he denied the allegations that he fought back and expressed the person who started the rumor is not human, don't know what's right and wrong. Regarding the public doubting whether the 'celebrity drug use' video clip actually exists? Kenny said: "The rumor going around in the public states that one of my employees took the clip. I don't know if the clip actually exist or not. As for what the CCTV at my restaurant recorded, I cannot disclose that because the police is currently investigating."

Yesterday many artists had negative criticisms on Kenny. It was rumored, he is the person behind the majority of the recent gossips. Kenny expressed: "Impossible! I never liked exposure. (Worried all the negative criticisms may affect your wife, Suki Tsui's work?) I haven't been thinking that much. I have always given her space, in terms of her jobs."

There are other rumors that Eason Chan asked a middleman to help Kenny settle all the gossips, Kenny admitted someone has invited him out for dinner to settle the recent gossips, but he is unsure who the actual person who invited him was. Suki declined to comment on any of the incidents.

The issue of free-to-air TV licenses are delayed time after time; it has been said the government won't be officially issuing the licenses to CTI, nowTV and iCable until mid-2013. TVB's new boss, 'Shell King' Chan Kwok Keung, must keep TVB at the top of the television industry as Big Brother. It was understood, besides paying an expensive price to invite Wong Jing back to produce a glamorous TV series for them, Mr. Chan personally invited his trusted aide Eric Tsang to produce a new series as well. Eric does not only have fast reactions and unlimited ideas, he also serves as the networking person. Eric threw out his 'friendship card' as he plans to invite Film King Andy Lau back to his maternal home to help them with the 'TV war'. It has been 24 years since Andy's been in a TVB series.

Earlier there was news that Wong Jing will be starting a 40 episode TVB series and plans to invite Film Queen Deanie Ip to take on the lead actress role. Another one of TVB's surprising secret weapons is Chan Kwok Keung personally asked Eric Tsang to produce a grand production, in which he will be responsible for casting, finding a director and the script. Even the heads of the production department, Tommy Leung and Catherine Tsang have to step aside to accommodate him.

Eric accepted an interview with [HK Headline] reporters. In regards to producing a TVB series, he admitted: "Actually it is not confirmed, there is no concrete plan yet. I currently have several ideas. I may do a costume drama, love story or perhaps something that is more movie-like. The first part might be a movie and then maybe stretch it out to a 30-40 episode TV series. Maybe something like Laughing Gor or follow the Tiger Cubs style, air only one episode a week. Every production is different and I can use more new directors and artists." As for the leads that Eric has in mind? Eric exposed he has contacted Andy Lau: "I mentioned it to Andy before and said he's interested. He said to me: 'If you find a story I like, then I'll consider it!' Well, of course artists made decisions based on the script. I will come up with a script that touches him."

Andy Lau graduated from the 10th TVB Artistes Training Class in 1981. In 1982, producer Lee Tim Shing casted him as the lead actor in The Emissary, where he started getting popular. In 1983, TVB strongly promoted him along with Felix Wong, Tony Leung, Michael Miu and Kent Tong. They were known as the TVB's Five Tigers. Andy's been in many popular TVB series such as The Return of the Condor Heroes and The Duke of Mount Deer. In 1984, after he completed The Return of the Condor Heroes, he was unwilling to renew his contract for another 5 years, and thus was frozen by TVB for 400 days. In 1988, he starred in Tin Long Kip with Maggie Siu and then started focusing entirely on the film industry.

Rose Chan (陳嘉桓) was unfortunately sexually harassed by Benny Chan (陳浩民) and Joe Ma (馬德鐘) while in Hengdian, China several days ago. Sunday Magazine’s publication of the photos chronicling the harassment incident ignited angry reactions among Hong Kong celebrities, with Nick Cheung (張家輝) and Simon Yam (任達華) blasting the men’s unscrupulous behavior. Nick Cheung even cursed angrily, “If someone violated my daughter in this manner, I will [expletive] kill him!”

Nick Cheung noted, “My wife, Esther Kwan (關詠荷), and I are artists and also the parents of our daughter. If the harassment did in fact occur, I support the police to step in to handle the situation. If you consider the situation from Rose’s family’s perspective, they must be very hurt.” (If someone violated your daughter in such a manner, what will you do?) “I will [expletive] kill him! Even if you are drunk, you have to be responsible for your behavior!”

Condemned for Lewd Behavior
Nick professed that he did not know Rose Chan, Joe Ma, or Benny Chan well, but felt that Rose was only a young girl. Since she was working in China alone, veteran actors should take care of her. The reporter pointed out that life in Hengdian was dull and there was not much entertainment; thus, actors were easily prompted to “commit wrongdoings.” Nick strongly disagreed, “I also filmed in Hengdian in the past. As to whether you commit wrongdoings or not depend on the person. Please remember to tell everyone that the entertainment industry is not like this!”

Upon learning of Rose being sexually harassed, Simon Yam said, “They acted in such a horrendous manner? If this were true, they need to reflect upon their actions! Drinking can lead to problems! The Monkey King (Benny Chan’s) powers cannot match Wing Chun martial arts. Why don’t you ask Dennis To (杜宇航) to take a few sips and have a few rounds with him!” Simon urged Benny Chan and Joe Ma to issue public apologies to Rose Chan.

After seeing the harassment photos, Eric Tsang (曾志偉) angrily blasted, “That should not have happened! That’s too much! Let me go back and use my Wing Chun powers to knock those guys down!” (You will teach them a lesson?) “When I go to Hengdian next month, I will be sure to do so! Benny Chan often plays wildy, but Joe Ma is not like that! Perhaps he drank some fake wine? Last month, there was a chauffer who drank some fake white wine and he turned violent.”

Eric often got into trouble after drinking too much. Due to his experience, Eric said, “The worst thing is that you do not recall what happened even after you have gained mental clarity. Perhaps now they are immensely regretting their actions.” (But when you are drunk, you do not commit such lewd actions?) “That’s because my health is in a poor condition!”
Bosco Wong (黃宗澤) commented that it was inevitable that artists had to go drinking for networking purposes. He will be careful in avoiding getting drunk. “If I wish to drink, I will stay home to do so. If there are any problems, this will not impact other people.”

When asked to comment on Rose’s harassment incident, Myolie Wu (胡杏兒) indicated that she was unclear about the situation and did not wish to interject. Myolie indicated that she has only encountered gentlemen since entering the industry. Asked whether she was taken advantage of while drunk, Myolie replied, “No!” (How would you react if it happened to you?) “I do not know, but I hope it does not happen to any woman!”

Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣) hoped that Rose’s emotions will return to normal soon. “I have filmed in mainland, China too and there were celebratory banquets. Each time, I have to work early in the morning, thus I did not stay too long at the dinners. Although my alcohol tolerance is not high, no one forced me to drink with them.”

Supporters of Benny Chan and Joe Ma

Benny Chan’s good friend, Evergreen Mak (麥長青), trusted that Benny possessed a good character. “I do not understand why the photos were taken at such a close distance! There were so many people present. If the harassment had indeed occurred, someone should have stopped it.” (Will you urge Benny Chan to drink less?) “He has been drinking less. Last time I saw him, he did not even drink.”

Aimee Chan (陳茵媺) supported that Joe Ma was a gentleman. “Since entering the industry, I have been very lucky. The senior actors have taken good care of me. Joe Ma is a good ‘si hing’ [senior brother]. The actors at TVB are very gentleman and take care of junior artists.” (If Moses Chan (陳豪) acted in such a manner, what would you do?) “Ha ha! It depends on whom he kisses!”

The film THE FORTUNE BUDDIES (GAING CHAU FUK LUK SAU) after ten days in release made over 6 million. Two nights ago a celebration was held. Eric Tsang Chi Wai, Yuen Siu Cheung, Wong Cho Nam, Johnson Lee Si Jit, Maggie Cheung Ho Yi, Samantha Ko Hoi Ning and Lam Ha Mei attended. Chi Wai publicly complimented Ko Hoi Ning's potential.

The film had many young actors and actresses. Chi Wai praised Ko Hoi Ning, who had luck with the audience and was hard working. She would not show too much out of the blue and had a clean impression. As for Koni Lui Wai Yi who was linked to him in rumors, Chi Wai said, "She isn't pretty and has no figure so she is the substance school. Every time she comes out she loses. She pushes up randomly for Mr. Hong Kong and gets yelled at, when she hides people talk. (So you hide her?) Her legs are so long, how do you hide her?"

Speaking of the Nicholas Tse Ting Fung and Cecilia Cheung Pak Chi divorce, Chi Wai pointed out that divorce was OK. If they could raise the children together that would be the best. He also said that breaking up was inevitable. If they were unhappy then they should not be together. Fung Chi spent more time apart than together, being together in a circle was a science. Did he feel Fung Chi would reunite? He said that he did not know, nothing was impossible.

Ko Hoi Ning wore a low cut dress, but she said that her figure was not buxom enough. She pointed out that her aunt was the biggest and joked that her chest was like two pomelos. She often stole attention for being sexy, would other female artists be afraid of being at the same events as her? She said that her relationships with female artists were great. Male artists instead did not dare to get near her.

Eric Tsang Chi Wai yesterday mentioned on the radio that Bosco Wong Chung Chak was completely cut out of FORTUNE BUDDIES (GAING CHAU FUK LUK SAU) to keep the pace of the story. Chi Wai revealed that later he will make a movie for Bosco and King Kong for them to perform thoroughly in.

Tsang Chi Wai was a Cha Siu Yun's radio program. FORTUNE BUDDIES lead actors happened to be on a viewer appreciation cinema visit. Cha Siu Yun asked why Chi Wai did not tag along. "It's deliberate. Because Wong Cho Nam, (Johnson) Lee Si Jit and Yuen Siu Cheung are on television, when viewers spend money to watch them at the movies shouldn't they sincerely thank everyone?" Chi Wai cast Fiona Sit Hoi Kei and honestly said that he already admired her as early as 2 YOUNG (JO SHOOK).

Chi Wai explained the reason that Wong Chung Chak whose potential he praised was cut out of FORTUNE BUDDIES. "He was a guest star, for the pace of the story he was cut. Originally only a little was cut, but the story didn't follow. So I had to cut it all! The end credit has more footage, viewers shouldn't leave too soon." Chi Wai stated that he will make another movie for Chung Chak and King Kong, the story would be like CURRY AND PEPPER (GA LEI LAT JIU) for them to perform thoroughly.

The Japanese large earthquake on March 11, 2011 led to a radiation crisis and greatly impacted the tourism industry. The country turns into an economic depression. To help with the tourism, Japan Tourism invited 'Super Trio Leader' Eric Tsang and a group of artists to shoot a two week special in Tokyo and Osaka in order to stimulate the economy! The group is scheduled to depart on the 19th (of June). Eric represents the Hong Kong Artist Association to launch the disaster relief night. Besides 'reviving' the already ended show Super Trio, Eric also fearlessly challenges the 'Super Spicy Sushi Who Should Eat' with no fear of the raw fish! However, many artists refused to eat the the fish due to the yellow travel warning that was issued in Japan. Producer Chan Chi Kau said: "There is only 2 weeks left before the departure, and the group is on a tight schedule too, there is a really a challenge!"

It was seen that Eric, who is currently not in HK, greatly took out his 'friendship card' inviting Timmy Hung, Chin Ka Lok, King Kong, Macy Chan, Meini Cheung and Angela Tong as the guests. Currently in Mainland, Timmy said: "Eric did ask me, in order to support him I am trying my best to make time on my schedule! I am not worried about the radiation, since just die and there's no sickness!" Macy said: "I am not afraid of radiation. My greatest fear is I can't go! I will eat whatever there is when I get there, and go on a shopping spree too to stimulate the economy!" King Kong said: "I am not afraid of dying, I am so strong!"

Yesterday it was Valentine's Day, they gave out chocolate and red envelopes to the audience. Koni hoped to receive jewelry as a Valentine's Day gift, but Eric teased her saying that no one wants her for Valentine's Day because no one asked her out.

Eric Tsang had always devoted his efforts into training the younger generation. He tries his best giving newcomers opportunities. Stepping into the new year, he wishes he can produce more films in the Rabbit year, so the current low in manpower (actors) in the Hong Kong film scene can come to an end.

To accommodate the Mainland market, the current Hong Kong films are usually collaborative works with Mainland film production companies, and often more than half of the cast are Mainland actors. This leads to less and less promotion and appearance opportunities for Hong Kong stars. Of course, Eric is mindful of this situation and so for this reason he hopes to shoot more films. He said: "It is necessary for Hong Kong to have more locally produced films. Besides Lunar New Year films, I hope to direct more films and it does not have to be comedy flicks." Eric also hopes to use more new actors, sharing and passing on his acting experiences to them. Asked if he has a candidate in mind? He said: "Nope! When the time comes, I'll choose based on the situation. I personally really like Bosco Wong, but once he gets popular, the TV station (TVB) will end up over using him. So, I want to go on the streets to get people for auditions, even people who have no experience at all will do."

Eric said that TVB in fact have a lot of good artists, but they never have time. For example, Fala Chen who is currently shooting series after series, Eric suggested that she takes some time off for herself to rest and then shoot a few films to get some appreciation. Eric said: "Besides Fala, Kate Tsui is also someone that is worth developing, Charmaine Sheh is one too. However, she had never taken a break from TVB." Eric hopes that TVB can treasure their artists and help them increase their value. It is not just to the artists and company benefit, but also a benefit to the audience.

Yesterday night Jay Chou held his 3rd night at the Hong Kong Coliseum, a special guest appeared, it was Eric Tsang. What was surprising was that Eric sang Jay Chou's "Chrysanthemum Flower Bed" very seriously. His voice was pleasing to the ears, and was full of emotion. Later, clips of the two in "Kung Fu Dunk" were show on the big screen. After Eric finished singing, he was applauded by the audience, he laughed ridiculing himself: "I'm very happy to be on stage at Jay Chou's Hong Kong Coliseum concert singing, I'm not joking, I'm really scared. When I heard about the invitation I nearly had a heart attack, because I was worried when I came out it would become a 'toilet'."

Originally Jay Chou invited Eric to sing a fast song with him. Eric jokingly said: "You don't know what you're singing, I also don't know what you're singing, why not sing one we know off by heart!" Jay Chou was astonished: "I don't have a song called 'know off by heart'." Eric said: "I was saying that you had a new song that I've already learnt off by heart, I'll definitely sing it better than you, it's called 'It Rains All Night'."

Eric asked Jay Chou for a signed t-shirt, he said: "I can go out and start a bidding war, 800 yuan signed t-shirt." Afterwards, he said whichever side applauded the loudest would get it, the response was great and he generously gave it away.

Yesterday night the concert turned into Eric's talk show. Jay Chou praised his singing, Eric smiled saying: "Yea, not many people have seen me sing on stage, because I believe everyone should one thing, otherwise Alan Tam won't have any food on his plate. Ah, just joking, I'm just scared Alan will be jealous and ask me to be his guest star all the time."

Plot of '72 Tenants of Prosperity':
Sworn brothers Ha Kung (Eric Tsang) and Shek Kin (Jacky Cheung) help a group of 72 evicted tenants in 1970s Hong Kong defeat their rapacious landlords, (Lam Ka Tung and Charmaine Sheh). After coincidentally rescuing Pinky (Anita Yuen) from a forced arranged marriage, both brothers fall for her. When they flip a coin for Pinky's hand in marriage and Ha wins, the brothers become sworn enemies. Now 2010, Shek's hatred has fueled an intense rivalry with Ha as they continue to clash through competing businesses on the busiest street in the city, which is still home to the original 72 tenants.

Director Eric Tsang and actors Anita Yuen and Bosco Wong Chung Chak came together for a press conference in Beijing Wednesday to promote the Shaw Brothers' comeback comedy extravaganza, "72 Tenants of Prosperity."

Tsang is also the lead male in the New Year movie, which has been hailed as an equivalent to the mainland's "Founding of a Republic" in terms of celebrity star power.

The comedy casts a record 174 stars, including Jacky Cheung, Joyce Tang Lai Ming, Charmaine Sheh See Man, David Lo Dai Wai, Bernice Liu Bik Yi and Lawrence Ng Kai Wah, just to name a few.

Tsang said he has made the best of his network to bring together the megawatt cast.

"72 Tenants of Prosperity" is based on the 1973 Shaw Brothers film "The House of 72 Tenants," but it is a new creation that only keeps a few of the original roles.

Shaw Brothers Studios, Hong Kong's foremost movie production company, saw its heyday in the 1960s and 70s, but is set to make a resurgence with the star-studded New Year release.

The film will be released on February 11, 2010.

Kitty Yuen and Eric Tsang attended a public event yesterday. Regarding to the big fuss at the [72 Tenant Prosperity] dinner (about TVB artists getting no pay), Eric who started the misunderstanding caused trouble to the friends around him, such as Virgina Lok. Causing so much trouble, he sends his apologies and said that [72 Tenants] both the cast and behind the scenes crew are like a big family, producing two big films for TVB within a year. Speaking of his dinner speech, Eric said: "I just felt that television artists who are involved in the film industry do not get the full market prices. I hope there will be more and more jobs for the film industry, television stars can receive a pay increase! [72 Tenants] had no participating artist not receiving pay, actually they got more then participating in TVB programs! Like Jacky Cheung, he got the full amount."

As to iCable and the "Big 4" record companies hostility with TVB, Eric said: "Just like Jacky, it is clearly separated. Film promotion, he will definitely do, but as for his new album there is no reason why he should be a traitor!" Eric frankly said that the group who gets impacted the most is probably the group of newcomers: "Because how much money is distributed won't be going into their pockets, actually they'll have a lower opportunity for more plugged songs."
