For the Love. Of Stripes.

How was your weekend? Did you watch the Super Bowl, which in my case means, Did you stuff your face with awesome food and occasionally glance at the commercials and half-time show? Seriously, I think our friends thought I was actually into the football, because of the fact that I started talking about the party months ago. It's all about the food, people. The food. The food that I rarely indulge myself in, and the food that, quite frankly, is better than Thanksgiving. Some people like turkey and stuffing, and some people like chips and dip. Potato, po-tah-to.

In the meantime, I am still loving stripes. Throw in my recent obsession with black, and you get black and white stripes. They're perfect, especially paired with wood tones. Perfection.

The Stockings Were Hung...

Oh how I love rows of stockings hung up just waiting for Santa. I love these ideas for people like me with fireplace envy. Unfortunately, I don't have a piano or a ladder to hang them from either!  Oh well...just more to add to my wish list! (It's getting quite long!)

In the Dark

How long will it take me to stop thinking,"Well, it's really an hour later than the clock shows." It's not. The time on the clock is the right time. I need to deal with Daylight Savings and the new getting dark at 5pm business! The darkness in these rooms, though, is something I could definitely get used to. Ab-so-lute-ly stunning.

Oh, Baby. Grand.

Someday, I want a baby grand piano. Now, you might think that someone who wants such a fine piece of instrument can actually play it. Well, if you like to listen to parts of the same three songs, then I guess you can say I can play. My plan is to take piano lessons. (You're right, Mom. I should have never quit.) And, if I never get around to taking lessons, I will force my children to take lessons, cause this bad boy is not just going to sit around getting neglected.
