What Color Are You?
I've always thought color psychology to be very interesting. When I was 12 or 13, I went to girls camp, and there was a presentation about color. I tried to be a yellow...the fun color, but CLEARLY I'm a red. Clearly. This post on House of Fifty was about being drawn to certain colors and what it may say about our personality. I thought it was super interesting, and hey, if being drawn to white, black, and gray means that I'm conservative, honorable, reliable, individualistic, innocent, disciplined, and strong-willed aka boring, I'll take it. Fortunately, there are no negative adjectives on any color, so it's pretty much a feel-good exercise! So, what color(s) are you drawn to, and does this describe you?

[color kreyv]: Pink & Orange
I love the bright, happy combination of pink and orange. It's a great combination for spring. It's spring, right? I don't know about you, but I'm done with winter. Over. It. (And sorry for all of my friends in Utah and Wisconsin who are experiencing actual cold weather. The rest of us are wimps.) And, speaking of pink and orange, check out the cutey patootie print I've included from j is for JORDY. (Remember that phrase from Rosie before she was totally obnoxious?) And, speaking of j is for JORDY, make sure to enter the giveaway here. Ridiculously adorable prints. Three winners. Go get yours.

[color kreyv]: Orange
Let's just get this out of the way: Today is your LAST chance to enter my Cutting Edge Stencil Giveaway. I will be announcing the winner tomorrow! Hooray...well, for one of you, anyway. In other news, orange is looking pretty awesome in these rooms. It's just the right amount, dontcha think? And then there's the Amy Corley room. That's just the right amount of everything. I'll take one of everything except for that huge basket in the corner. I'll take two of those.

Wait For It...
I'm pretty good with secrets, so I'm not going to give this one away. Let's just say it has something to do with a giveaway. On this very blog. This very week. And it rhymes with Gutting Ledge Pencils. And that's all I'm going to say about that.

[color kreyv]: Orange & Black
I'm still going strong with the fall and Halloween theme, because honestly, if the decorations don't come out this week, they may not make an appearance. They are buried very, very deep in, what I like to refer to as the Monica Gellar closet. Yes. I have one. I'll show you pics some day. It's actually quite organized, it's just stuffed from top to bottom. Anyway, I'm really just trying to motivate myself to get them out.
Back to black and orange...I honestly didn't think I would be able to find a lot of spaces with that color combo. But I did, and rather than them metaphorically shouting "BOO!" at you, they are really quite pleasant. Dontcha think?

[color kreyv]: Pale Blue & Orange
All that talk about pale blue yesterday made me want to post more pale blue. Here it is with orange. It goes with so many colors! See what I'm sayin'? I love this combination. It's happy; it's fresh; it's interesting. What more could you ask for...besides another room to decorate...in pale blue and orange?

[color kreyv]: Navy & Orange
Can I just say I have the best husband ever? Besides putting up with all of my decorating ridiculousness, he really takes care of me. Over the weekend, I could feel that I was finally getting what everyone else has had, and today (Tuesday), I felt horrible. So, the hubs gets off of a 7pm to 7am trauma shift, takes Stella to Little Gym, does the grocery shopping, feeds Stella, puts her down for a nap, and does a load of laundry...all before he goes to bed at noon (and to work again at 7pm). That means I had from about 9am to 3pm (when Stella woke up) to rest, which was much needed. Geez, I'm lucky!
In other news, are we loving the navy and orange combo, or what? I think I'm going to have to add some orange to my living room, dontcha think? I love the classic navy with the vibrant orange. It just wakes up the rooms! Speaking of waking up, I need to go to bed. I've got a big day tomorrow. For playgroup, we are going to the outlet malls (awesome playgroup, right?) and these GAP rewards are just burning a hole in my pocket. Don't worry, shopping is the best medicine. It miraculously makes me feel healthy and alive again. I'll come back a whole new person, OR I'll make myself even sicker than I am now. Either way, I'll have something new to wear, and that already makes me feel better just thinking about it!

[color kreyv]: Tangerine Tango
On an unrelated note, today is day three of my husband's stay-cation. I am loving having him around, but it's going by way too fast. We need to get something Christmasy in before he has to go back to work. Shopping? Yes, please. His idea, not mine. I know you don't believe me, but it's true. He likes to take me shopping for my Christmas gift. He has some crazy notion that I am hard to shop for. Wonder where he got that from. In my defense, he is just as hard to shop for as I. (Ok, not really.)

The Bold & the Beautiful
I'm talking about bold and beautiful furniture, not the soap, which, for the record, I've never watched a daytime soap. They are too much, even for me. I'm into the good stuff that's on Bravo instead! But, back to the bold furniture. It is major, and once again, I am in love (especially with the blue sofa)! It makes a statement, but not an "in your face" statement. Perfect. Bold. Beautiful.

[color kreyv]: Orange
The first thing I thought of when I chose orange was a shirt that Jeremy used to wear when we were dating. It was bright, neon orange and had a Wu-Tang Clan symbol on it. It was too big. And, it was ugly. I hated it. I have to tell you that my husband is the best man in the world, but let's just say that I wasn't attracted to him for his sense of style! He was stylish in his own way (I guess) with his bleached-white spiky hair, baggie, underwear showing pants, and skater shoes. None of that exists anymore. In fact, none of it existed by the time we got married! You know I like me a good before and after!
Ten years later, I mostly just see Jeremy is his blue scrubs. It sure makes me miss that Wu-Tang shirt (total lie, I don't miss it one bit). So, what do you think of orange?
