[color kreyv]: Kelly Green

Stella was sitting on my lap as I was about to source pictures for this post, so I asked her what her favorite color was.  She told me it was purple, blue, red, and black...so I chose kelly green. (I know...it's kind of like the way I ask Jeremy his opinion and then choose opposite of what he tells me. What can I say? Sometimes it helps me make a decision quicker.) Anyway, I do love me some kelly green. It's fresh, clean, and sophisticated.  Let's just make sure we don't overdo it, mmmkay? We wouldn't want anyone's house to look like a, umm, I can't think of anything clever. (I blame the five year old on my lap.) Let's just say that Jeremy really loves green, so he would like a lot of it.  That should help you make your decision on the amount you want in your own home.  See? It totally helps.

Large Nightstands

Know what I love? Big ol' nightstands. Don't you? Just picture one or two of these babies next to a great four poster bed. Don't I just have a great imagination? If only some of these things would actually happen. I had this great plan of slowly buying furniture and storing it before we build or buy a home. And then...I considered the fact that we can't buy furniture for a room that doesn't exist when we don't have the dimensions. Details, schmeetails. Guess I'll just go back to imagining. Imaginations don't care about dimensions. Or money. It's my safe place.

Pretty Lil' Places

I love these little nooks and crannies--even though I have no idea what a cranny is and have never heard it used without the word nook. I think it just means a little space, so we'll run with it. Anyway, love these pretty lil' places--nooks, crannies and all.

[color kreyv]: Green

I'm such a neutral girl, and it's even more evident in our new place. (I'll try to post some pics next week.) Even though it's not even close to being decorated, it's completely neutral with lots of grays, whites, blacks, and wood tones. My "pop" of color is navy and a little bit of green...I know. I'm crazy. Here's the thing: I'm just naturally drawn to those colors. It's like the whole red lipstick theory: I love it on other people, but I don't think it loves me. In other words, I still choose color for other people's homes (if they want it), but not for my own. I often have clients and friends tell me that they "need" to use a different color than they've used in other rooms. I say go with the colors that you love--even if you've already used them. Otherwise, you're just not going to love your space, and you may just end up having your husband paint it tan like a day after you painted it yellow. P.S. I kind of think green is just as neutral as the rest of the "neutrals" I listed. Maybe it's just an edgier neutral. Or, maybe I'm just making things up. Either way, it's definitely making a statement in these rooms.

[color kreyv]: Kelly Green

I absolutely love kelly green. It's classy and fun all at the same time, and those are good things to be. Know what I love even more than kelly green? I'll tell you: Mr. Hubs being home during the day. I loved that today I could go grocery shopping while Hubs and Stella were at The Little Gym. Even when it took me a ridiculously long time to get the plastic veggie bag open, it was okay, because I wasn't in a rush. (I hate those things. I can't ever get them open. I always look around to see if someone is watching me. It feels like hours. Seriously.) Mostly, I love that our little fam can spend time together. Now, if only he could always work night shifts, but never need sleep, THAT would be perfect!

I'll Take One of Each

These dressers are absolutely fabulous...especially the first one. Holy amazing! I would take it even though I don't have a place for it. It's just one of those pieces that you would make room for. Don't you think?

Then, there's the second one. Oh, how I'd love that for Stella's room. I'm secretly thinking I want to paint Stella's turquoise armoire. The reason it's a secret is because I really want the hubs to paint it, but I don't dare mention it. I have to time these requests, and he just helped me with another project. Oh, and he's painted it three different colors for me since we've had it. (Details, shmee-tails.) I guess I could always do it myself. Nah.

And, number three. If we ever have a boy, he is getting a kelly green dresser. That's all there is to it. And yes, IF we have another baby, and IF it's a boy, his nursery is already designed. Don't worry, if we ever have a girl, her room's designed, too. Yes, I'm that crazy prepared.

Flay-va Flave!

We all know I like me a nice, white kitchen, but if you're looking for some flayva, these kitchens are done right. I love the contrast of the colors against the white. They all look so fresh, which is completely opposite of how I look and feel after day one of potty training. It actually went well, certainly not fun, but it went well. Now for day two...perhaps I'll shower in hopes that I'm not peed on again. I know. It's a glamorous life I lead. Don't be jealous. To read about day one of potty training, go here.

[color kreyv]: Kelly Green

You know how I'm addicted to interior design? Well, this may or may not come as a big shock to you, but I'm also addicted to clothes. I love clothes. And shoes. And clothes for Stella. And shoes for Stella. I see something I like, and then I just obsess over it. So, there I was innocently looking for kelly green interiors, when up pops these seriously awesome kelly green pants. And now, I have to have them. Darn you, Pinterest. I blame you. I mean seriously, I thought we were better friends than that. Here I am trying to stick to my budget, and you just willy nilly wave something irresistible in front of me. Don't worry. I'll forgive you...as soon as I find and buy the green pants.
