Simply Betty - June Fairy

Hi everyone!  I hope you are all having a lovely week. Half way there!!
I'm stopping by to share a project I made for Simply Betty's June Progressive Challenge.  This is the first time in a long while that I have had the time to play along, and I had so much fun with it! You can find information about her challenge in her Simply B Stamps Facebook Fan Page.  Here is a look at my card:

For the challenge, we were to use the colors black, red, yellow and cream.  I decided to make her wings the black element...not a color I would typically use for fairy wings, but I am loving how they look!  We also had to include some glitter, which I have added to the sentiment.  I also used Wink of Stella on her wings, but it is hard to capture that in the photo. Here is a closer look at the digi and sentiment:

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week:)

Hugs,
Bonnie

For my card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper form my stash, flowers, ribbon and a button.  I distressed the edges of the paper, and I made the paper behind her using distress inks, salt, and misting spray.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Enjoy the rest of your week!

Pretty Pixie

Hi everyone:)  My weekend is winding down, and I've got a few cards I'm finishing up.  I'd love to share the first!  It's been a while since I have worked on a Simply Betty stamp, so I was happy to pull some of them out to play with this week.  First up is a card I made using the sweet image Pretty Pixie.  I'd love to know what you think!

The Copics I used are: hair - E31, E33, E35 & E37; dress s- YG00, YG23, YG25 & YG17; wings - G000, BG11, BG13, BG32, YR000, YR00, YR02, R01, R02 & R14.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper/word stickers by Webster's Pages (Nest), flowers/leaves by Wild Orchid, and dies by Spellbinder & LaLa Land Crafts.  I loved that it said so much, and I gave this to my (soon-to-be 13 year old) daughter, and told her to always remember the words: 'Live with Intention', and 'Find yourself and be that'.  She's such an awesome kid.  I hope she likes it. Thanks for looking!

Simply Betty has a new Fan Page Challenge on her blog!  This month its using her new Hat Ladies:)  Here's my first entry using Classy Mrs. Cynthia.  For her, we are to use 2 designer papers (a conch, because I tend to use at least 2  on each card I make, lol), and put a flower on her hat.

Good evening everyone!  I've decided to play along in the Simply Betty Fan Page Challenge this month.  I'm not sure if I'll be able to get all 6 done, but I'm going to give it my best.  The first image I'm using is Big Hugs Michelle, which you can buy here.  It was one of the images I won in the SBS Favorite image Anything goes challenge.  The challenge with her was to use purple, and something shiny.  Here's my take:

To make the card, I used paper from Bo Bunny's 'A gift of Love' line, bazzill white cardstock, Zva Creative bling, and La-La Land's heart banner die.  Super cute card...I think I'll send her to one of my sisters. :)

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone!  I hope this coming year brings you all much love, health and happiness.  I hope you all follow your dreams, and make magic happen in the coming year.  I'm not one to make New Year's resolutions (I think a lot of the time we set ourselves up for failure doing that), but....I don't shy away from making commitments.  I suppose they're not very different, but I'm making a few commitments for the coming year.  I am committed to spending more time crafting.  Something I love to do, but tend to place on the 'back burner'.  I am also committed to sharing more of my creations...here, on facebook, and most importantly, with those I love.  I have cards here that I've made for fun, and for various challenges.  This year I will be sending them out, and passing them along to those closest to me.  Ok, well, I may keep some of my absolute favorites, lol.  I hope you all find things that you love and that inspire you, and that you carry with you throughout the year. xo

I also would like to share the very last card I made in 2014.  I literally finished it about 11pm last night.  It's a card to celebrate the New Year, using a new image from Simply Betty Stamps, which you can find here.  She's got it at a special price, so don't delay!  I'd love to see what you create with her!  Here's the card I made:

Here are a list of the Copics I used:  skin - E000, E00, E04, E11, E21 and R20;  hair - E21, E25 and E29; eyes - BG000 and B005;  legs/costume feather - E40, E71 and E77;  costume/headband R56, R59 and R81.  I used atyou Spica glitter pens 00, 14 and 16 in various places to add some glimmer and shine.
Other elements I used include:  patterned paper from My Mind's Eye 'Lost and Found' collection, cardstock, and Spellbinder dies.  I hope you like her, and as always, I appreciate you taking time to check her out:)  Happy New Years!

Hubby Birthday Card

Good afternoon:)  Today I finished up my card for Betty's husband using her Hubby Bday Betty digi.  His favorite color is purple, so I made sure to incorporate that into my coloring and elements.

The Copic markers I used to color her are: skin - E000, E00, E04, E11, E21 and R20; hair - 100, BV20, BV25 and BV29; lips - RV52 and RV66; eyes - E11, E15 and E18; bow - V01, V06, V09 and V15; small present - RV52, V09 and V09 (bow); large present - BG34, BG49, and Cotton Candy Stickles for the bow.  For added shimmer, I used Atyou Spica #13 Lilac on her eyelids and eyelashes.

I just love the 'Fern Forest' line by Little Yellow Bicycle, and pulled papers from that for each of the layers on the card.  Like on my last card, I used the Joy! Crafts Oval die, and cut it in half for each side of the card.  A little bit of foam tape to 'pop' up the image and the sentiment, and viola...my card is complete!  I admit, it was a little challenging for me doing a card for a man, because I usually add a lot of ribbon, bling and flowers to the cards I make for girls.  I'll definitely be using this image again when my husband's birthday rolls around in August.

Very Merry Betty Challenge

There's a new challenge going on with the Simply B Stamps Fan Group on Facebook!  You can find Very Merry Betty here. The challenge is to create a project with her using only Christmas green, Christmas red, white and black (skin tones are ok), and your project must have a bow. Don't wait too long though...the challenge ends on Sunday, November 9 at 6pm PST. Yay! My first Christmas card is done!

I colored the image with the following Copic colors: E000, E00, E04, E11 and E21 (skin); 100, E29, E25 and E21 (hair); 100, W9, W7, and W5 for pants, R29, G09 and G29 for gifts.  For the card, I used paper from the 'Mistletoe' line by Bo Bunny, black glitter paper from Best Creations, and vellum. I used dies from Spellbinders, and a Lucky 8 punch from We R Memory Keepers.

Demonic Babe Project

My latest project for a challenge on Simply B Stamps Fan Group on Facebook is this Demonic Babe card.  The challenge was to create a project using either a Good Demon and bright colors, or a Bad Demon and dark colors.  I decided to take a stab at the Good Demon, though I think I'll make a Bad one too sometime soon. If you know me, you might know that I am twin, and my sister often referred to herself as the 'evil' twin growing up (I guess I was the good one by default! lol). I think it's only appropriate that I send her the Bad Demon once I'm done:)

If you missed out on the freebie, you can still purchase the Demonic Babe digi on Simply Betty's website.  I also highly encourage you to join her Simply B Stamps Fan Group on Facebook if you haven't already. The group has lots of fun challenges, tons of inspiration, and info on the newest stamps. I find myself on that page just about every day!

I used copics to color the Demonic Babe.  For her skin I used E000, E00, E11, E21, and E04.  I used E15, E18, Y21 and YR23 to color her hair.  The horns were colored with R37, R32 and R00, and her shirt was colored with BG57, BG72 and G000.  The card was made with paper from the #Summer line from American Crafts, a doily, angel wings (La-La Land Crafts die) , and a strip of pink ribbon at the bottom.  I hope you like her!

Day of the Deal Alex Challenge

Are you a member of the Kit and Clowder group on Facebook? If not, you can find it here, and join. The page is full of inspiration! That is also where I entered the Day of the Dead Alex challenge. The image was free to members of Kit and Clowder and Simply B Stamps Fan Group (find them here) on facebook. The challenge was to color her using a monochromatic color scheme (all colors from the same color family), plus a pop of color.  My first attempt at monochromatic coloring!  It was lots of fun, but a challenge for sure. If you missed the challenge, the image can be found here on the Simply Betty Stamps website.

For her skin and clothing I used V93, V95 and V99. For her skin I used V000, V22 and V28.  My pop of color was on her face using YG45 and YG03.

I hope you like her!  I'm off to work on another challenge from the Simply B Stamp Fan Group.  Look for that post in the next day or so:)

Bat Wing Betty Challenge

Here is a card I made for the Bat Wing Betty challenge on Simply B Stamps Fan Group on Facebook.  The stamp is FREE, but only if you are a member of the group.  You can join the group here SBS Fan Group.

I used paper from My Mind's Eye (Haunted) and We R Memory Keepers (Heebie Jeebies). I also used some Tim Holtz and Spellbinders dies, and Halloween Spider Webs. Thanks for looking!
