Ching Chou Kuik - Embrace the Ocean

Hi everyone!  I would love to share a little bit of DT inspiration for the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group.  I am following our monthly challenge theme of 'Beauties of the Sea', and am using the gorgeous image Embrace the Ocean.   I used the no-line technique again on this card.  I hope you like her!

Here is a close up:

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from my stash, lace, and Provo Craft embossing folder.  I would love to know what you think!

Are you a member of the  Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group?  I hope so!  We have new challenges every month, and she had loads of gorgeous digis. We would love for you to join us!  Please check out the new challenge while you are there, and you'll see the gorgeous projects made by my awesome fellow DT! Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by:)

Happy Friday! It's time to share another DT project for the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group.  I'm using this stunning image called Crimson Dream.  I have to admit that I find her one of the more challenging images to color, so I do hope I managed ok:)  I would love to know what you think!

I colored her using the inspiration photo for the Facebook Challenge which you can find here.

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E04, E11, E21, E93 & R32; background/hair - V000, V01, V04, V05, V06, V09, RV02, RV04, RV13 & YR00; clothes - R24, R35, R37 & R39; eyes - YG17, YG23 & YG22; flowers - RV13, RV14, V04, YR61 & YR66; butterflies - YR04, Y17, Y21, Y38, V04, V05, V06.V09, R32, R35, R37 & R39. Here is a closer look at this beautiful image:

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock. Doesn't get much easier than that, right?  I hope you like her!

Are you a member of the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group?  There is always a challenge going on, and you will see the newest digis as soon as they are released!  We would love to have you join us and share your projects using Ching Chou Kuik digis.  Hope to see you there!

Come Softly

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you have a fun weekend planned!  They always go by so darn quickly though, don't they?  Before I head out for the day I would like to share my latest DT Inspiration for the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group.  I've made a card using the beautiful digi Come Softly.  I hope you like her!

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E)0, E11, E21, E93 & R11; hair - YR31, YR24, E25, E29, YG93 & YG97; dress - B60, B63 & B66; butterfly - R22, R24, Y11, Y15 & Y17.   I used BV23, BV25 & BV20 for the background. The image is printed on x-press paper.

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from Authentique.  I also used dies from Tim Holtz (swirl) and Memory Box.  Fairly CAS for me, lol.  Please head on over to the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group and join us if you haven't already!  We share tons of inspiration, there are monthly challenges, and you'll find out all of the latest on Ching Chou's new releases.  Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend!

Witchery

Happy Monday! Are you ready for a new week? It is also time for a new challenge on the Craft Your Passion Challenge Blog.  As always, our challenge is 'Anything Goes' - doesn't get any easier than that, right? Our sponsor for this week is The East Wind.  I am such a huge fan of theirs.  They have so many gorgeous and bad-a$$ images to work with, and I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to work with one!  The image is called Witchery, and here is my card using her:

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, E93 & R11; hair - E40, E42, E43, E47 & E49; dress - W00, W1, W2 & W3; flower - BG000, BG01, BG05 & BG09; hat - YG93, YG97, G21, RV23, RV25 & RV29.  The image is printed on x-press paper.

I really love coloring digis that are close-ups of faces.  And her hair - so much fun to color!

For the card I used Bazzill cardstock and paper from Sherri Baldy.  The image is so striking I decided to keep my card pretty CAS (clean and simple).  I was afraid embellishments would compete too much or be too distracting.  What do you think?

Why not check out our new challenge on the Craft Your Passion Challenge Blog and play along?  The other DT members have amazing projects to help inspire you as well.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hope you have a fantastic week!

Dreams

Hey everyone!  How is your week so far?  Mine has been crafty which = fun! I'm here to share with you my card for the new challenge on the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog.  Our fabulous sponsor this week is A Day For Daisies, and they have some of the most beautiful stamps!  I always love having the chance to work with their images.  You won't want to miss this one - the prize for the winner is a $12 gift certificate to their store!  Awesome, right?

The theme we have this week for you is CAS or 'Clean and Simple'.  I have to admit, when I saw that a few months ago, I was a little scared.  If you've read some of my recent posts you might know that I am new to CAS cards (so please be kind!).  But I have to admit, I am quite enjoying the challenge of keeping cards CAS.  The image I am using Dreams is perfect for this challenge.  The image is so beautiful that not much else is needed.  What do you think?

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E11, E21 & E93; hair - E08, E19, YR14 & YR18; tail - BG10, BG11, BG13 & BG18; rock - W00, W1, W2, W3 & W5; ocean - B0000, B000, B00, B12 & B16.  The image is printed on x-press paper.  I tried the dotted effect (I think it's called 'stippling') which I've seen other people do.  Not perfect, but it was fun, and a technique I would definitely try again!.  Here is a closer look at the image:

For my CAS card I used Bazzill cardstock, MME paper (Lost and Found) and ribbon.  That's it.  But again, I think the image stands out more this way:)  Head on over to the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog when you have a chance and check out the other beautiful CAS cards by my fellow teamies.  We hope you'll join in our challenge too!  Hope you have a great rest of your week!  I'll be back soon with more to share.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Penny's Paper Crafty - Anything Goes
Inspiration Destination - Anything Goes
A Day For Daisies - Frame It

Rainbow in Eyes

Guess what everyone?  There are 2 brand new challenges for Ching Chou Kuik today. In the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group we are kicking off a 'CAS' challenge!  If you're not familiar with it, CAS stands for Clean and Simple.  A card with minimal embellishments.  Sounds easy, right?  Well, for some it might be.  For me...not so much!  And truth be told, most of the DT found it challenging as well, lol.  But we all had fun with it.  And the ladies made gorgeous projects.  I'd love to share mine - using Rainbow in Eyes.  This image is so beautiful, she really didn't need anything else, don't you think?

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E04, E11 & R20; hair - BV000, BV00, BV02 & BV04; eyes - YG01, YG11, YG23 & YG25; wing - RV10; butterflies - RV000, RV13, RV14, BG000, B000, BV000, BV00, YR000 & YR00; flowers - YG01, YG17, YG23, YG27, YR23 & YR24.  I added Wink of Stella (clear) to the butterflies. The image is printed on x-press paper.

For the card I added a stamped sentiment (Kraftin Kimmie), outlined it with a pink Wink of Stella glitter marker, and used a piece of Prima Paper.  Super simple.  I hope you'll join us in this challenge!  Head on over to the Ching Chou Kuik Facebook Group for all of the details!  Thanks again for stopping by:)
