Fairy Queen Violet

Hello bloggers!  Today I am sharing a card I made as Guest DT for the Crafty Friends Challenge Blog.  I am thrilled and honored to join this fine DT for their current challenge.

The sponsor is one of my favorite digi companies - A Day for Daisies.  I really love their images.  The theme for the challenge #37 is 'Use Your Favorite Embellishment'.

The image I am using is a new one, which I love called Fairy Queen Violet, and my favorite embellishment is flowers, of course!

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E11, E21, R32 & R20; hair - E23, E29 & E37; flowers - RV25 & RV23; dress - B0000, B000, B00 & B02; wings - BG000, BG00, BG01, BV0000, BV000 & BV01. I added Wink of Stella to her wings, and used stickles for her glass slipper.  The image is printed on x-press paper.

For my card I used Bazzill cardstock, Graphic 45 paper, and Wild Orchid flowers. I bought this stencil from Buddly Crafts ages ago, but this is my first time using it, and I am in love!    I do hope you like her.  Please head on over to the Crafty Friends Challenge Blog to join in the fun, and to check out the inspiration from their amazing DT!  Have a lovely day!

I Love My Swing

Hello everyone!  I would like to share with you my DT card for the new challenge on the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog.  This week our theme is 'Finish the Inside'.  I really love this theme, as I am often guilty of leaving the inside of my cards plain white.  Decorating the inside makes a huge difference!

The awesome sponsor we have for you is A Day For Daisies, who are one of my favorites!  They will be giving the winner a $12 voucher to their store.   For this challenge I am using this sweet image called I Love My Swing.

The Copics I used are skin - E00, Eii & E93;  hair - E08, E19, YR14 & YR18; dress - RV52 & RV55; swing - E23, E29 & E37; flowers - BG1, BG15, BG23, Y17 & Y38.  I used chalk for the sky.  The image is printed on x-press paper.

For my card I used Bazzill cardstock, paper from my stash, cheesecloth and ribbon. For the inside I also used a chipboard die cut from Make it Crafty. Here is a look at the inside of my card.  It is one of my favorite quotes ever:

We invite you to join us over at the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog and play along with our 'Finish the Inside' challenge.  My awesome fellow DT members have gorgeous projects to help inspire you too!  Thanks for stopping by:)

A Magical Read

How is everyone doing?  It's getting late here, but before I head off to bed, I would like to share a card I made today.  It's an image I've had for a few months, and I haven't had time to color her, due to all of my DT projects.  Well, today I decided that I wanted to make more time to color 'just because', and she is the first!  The image is A Magical Read from A Day for Daisies.  I just adore their images.  They are so beautiful and unique. I hope you like her:)

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E11,E21, E93 & R11; hair - V93, V95 & V99; dress - Y21, Y17, Y32 & Y38; butterflies - B21, B24, BV0000, RV000, RV02 & RV04.  The image is printed on x-press paper.

Now, I have to tell you...when I decided to color her, I hopped on over to the A Day for Daisies Blog to check out the current challenge.  When I sae the challenge is to stitch it up, I had a little panic.  I am pretty crafty, but sewing is not my thing!  (Though I secretly wish to get a sewing machine and learn to use it on my cards and layouts).  Well, I looked around at what I had, and I found this beautiful paper from Bo Bunny that has stitching in the pattern! Perfect, right?  So I used this paper, along with Bazzill cardstock, Wild Orchid flowers, cheesecloth, dies by Dear Lizzy and Spellbinders, and Martha Stewart butterfly punches. What do you think?  Thanks for taking a look!  Have a fabulous weekend!

Dreams

Hey everyone!  How is your week so far?  Mine has been crafty which = fun! I'm here to share with you my card for the new challenge on the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog.  Our fabulous sponsor this week is A Day For Daisies, and they have some of the most beautiful stamps!  I always love having the chance to work with their images.  You won't want to miss this one - the prize for the winner is a $12 gift certificate to their store!  Awesome, right?

The theme we have this week for you is CAS or 'Clean and Simple'.  I have to admit, when I saw that a few months ago, I was a little scared.  If you've read some of my recent posts you might know that I am new to CAS cards (so please be kind!).  But I have to admit, I am quite enjoying the challenge of keeping cards CAS.  The image I am using Dreams is perfect for this challenge.  The image is so beautiful that not much else is needed.  What do you think?

The Copics I used are: skin - E000, E00, E11, E21 & E93; hair - E08, E19, YR14 & YR18; tail - BG10, BG11, BG13 & BG18; rock - W00, W1, W2, W3 & W5; ocean - B0000, B000, B00, B12 & B16.  The image is printed on x-press paper.  I tried the dotted effect (I think it's called 'stippling') which I've seen other people do.  Not perfect, but it was fun, and a technique I would definitely try again!.  Here is a closer look at the image:

For my CAS card I used Bazzill cardstock, MME paper (Lost and Found) and ribbon.  That's it.  But again, I think the image stands out more this way:)  Head on over to the Creative Knockouts Challenge Blog when you have a chance and check out the other beautiful CAS cards by my fellow teamies.  We hope you'll join in our challenge too!  Hope you have a great rest of your week!  I'll be back soon with more to share.

The very first challenge I did with the CC & CC design team was using an image from A Day for Daisies, and ever since then I was hooked on their stamps!  For my card today I used Curly Flower Fairy.  Isn't she beautiful?

The paper I picked up at Michaels (but I don't have the package it came in, so I do not know who it is from), lace, ribbon, and 2 tulips from Wild Orchid.  Don't forget to stop by the Chocolate, Coffee & Cards Challenge blog, show the DT some love, and join our 'Spring Has Sprung' challenge!
