Doily effect on Chopping board

Hello Friends & welcome here!
I am sorry, though I have been neglecting my blog 😒 I am creating loads of projects especially decoupage & share them regularly on my facebook page & Instagram, feel free to follow me there for regular updates!
Today’s project is a chopping board wall décor piece that also serves as a post it holder.
A simple technique to add some drama to a project is to combine a shabby chic print with bright chalk paints. For this base I used papers some shabby prints.
Using a large doily as a stencil, I created a pattern on the decoupaged paper with chalk paint.
I loved the contrasting colors of the the paper & paints. To add some more texture, I have also used 1 step crackle medium on the board around the doily stencil.
Some random newsprint stamping with archival ink, further built on layers to this project.

Post-it Note Holders

Hi Friends!
I love making bookmarks & cards for teachers. You can see some of my posts on these here, here & here. This year my daughter requested me to make post it holders for her teachers (w/o flowers & stamping!).

Used some distress inks & stencils for the first one. The flaps of all the post it holder have a velcro closure.

Made good use of coordinating pattern papers in a few -

#1 is stamped on a wood veneer speech bubble covered with inkagold -

This one is made in a book-style with chipboards covers.

And this is the last one, the die cut doily inked & misted with distress ink to make the background. The cute pencil embellie was stamped & made from shrink plastic.

I had earlier made easel type post it holders too, you can view that post here.

An Altered Clipboard

A very happy weekend to you all.
Schools shut here for a summer break, exams over & time for a good break for all.
I altered an old clipboard from my daughters school stash & re purposed it into handy utility item.
For this project I stared off with a used clipboard, with mod podge I covered the board with pattern paper (this is from a stack designed by Divya Thallap).

I have provided a pocket at the bottom to hold tags (die cuts from cereal boxes) for birthdays, reminders, paper clips, etc.

The clipboard also holds a post it pad & a mini calender.
Tie a small pen to the clip & no more looking out for a pen when you need it the most! To match the pen with the colors of the PP I have cover the cartridge with washi tape.

Have you used the mini misters from the Craft Shop? I love them! Look at the amazing misting effect you can create –

Some more snap shots of the altered clipboard, plenty of die cuts & embellies used here -

Teachers Day - Post-it holders

Good evening friends!!!
Sharing a few post-it note holders I made this week for my daughters. These simple gifts were made for their  teachers. I have used a lot of colors, die cuts, layering, stamping, distressing, blooms.............& my favorite handmade papers which I have been hoarding for so long!!! I am so glad to use these....finally (hope I am able to do the same with pattern papers, I am just unable to cut those gorgeous beauties)

The first three holders are easel style.

All the others have a provision to hold mini pens.

Also made two cards which you can find here & here.

If you have any queries regarding the supplies/techniques used please leave a comment & I shall reply.
