Craft Your Passion#266

Good Morning! So glad you visited again!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
We have a Craft Your Passion#266 live. This week we are sponsored by Di's Digis.

Since it is Anything Goes always, I decided to go CAS this time. I seem to be enjoying making CAS cards! I began with a SSS die cut - Thank you ticket & glued a panel of WRMK - Retro Glam Glamour Glitter to pop up the sentiment. This was then placed on DP (Simple stories - I am) with foam tape & silver thread to jazz it up. I finished this simple stylish card with Ranger white enamel accents.

Here is a close up of the glittery thank you panel.

Craft Your Passion#243

Hi everyone!  I'm back with my weekly DT project for Craft Your Passion#243.
This challenge theme is "Non-Traditional Christmas"
For my card I have used a cute 'Snowman frame' digi by the sponsors "Crafty Sentiments
In tune with the theme for this round, I have used blue in my card. This pattern paper with Christmas ornaments from Bo Bunny was perfect for this challenge. The background of the digi is with salty ocean DI & the fussy cut snowman is glued over the digi. I love the skewed, hand drawn look of the digi & I think the sentiment as well as the font (Stampendous - mini alphabet) just adds to it!

Creative Colors Challenge#25

Hello all!
Its time for Creative Colors Challenge#25 & I am here to share my card using the color palette -  Holiday Green + Holiday Red + Golden PLUS Embossing.

This challenge is sponsored by Robyns Fetish Digital Stamp. They have some adorable images, do check the link & I have used one such in my festive card.
Lots of layering here if you see & I absolutely love the intricate embossed die cut (Spellbinders Nestabilities - gold majestic circles) & the sparkle of the mirror sheet under.

The pencil colored digi is paper pieced. Love the adorable Mr.Mouse popping over the tree & the glossy accent on the nose! The MDF star on the tree is heat embossed in gold EP.

Craft Your Passion#238

Hi everyone!
Delighted to share that I am now a part of the design team at CRAFT YOUR PASSION. Our challenge theme this week is Bright & Sparkly. Inky Impressions is our wonderful sponsor & the winner gets $10 Gift Certificate to spend on-line in store. I chose to play with this adorable image - CAT LOVE.

I colored the image with my Faber Castell pencils & then fussy cut it. I did a bit of paper piecing here - the fussy cut moon & the kittens are glued over the digi stamp. The background is with distress ink. Added some shimmer over the moon with Wink of Stella. Wanted to add a sentiment but I think the cute image & the banner say it all.
Do pop over to the Craft Your Passion Challenges blog to see the fabulous designs by our talented DT! We'd love to see you join us with your projects.........................you have until Sunday, 10/11        to join!

Double Easel Card

Hiya friends!
I am very late in posting this but better late than never!
This post is about a swap group in our city. We are a group of crafty blogger ladies who meet regularly & discuss techniques, exchange tips over a cup of coffee (and of course masala chai for Rupa!).

(L to R - Sharada, Anuja, Mary Antonia, me, Rupa, Shilpa)

I hosted the first swap which involved making a double easel card & look at the beauties each one made!

Here is a close of my card & I think I have never used so much of purple is card making earlier!

Will be back tomorrow with details of our second round of swap.

Glitter-Fly

A very good morning to you all!

Sharing the tutorial I did for Color Conceptions Challenge Blog as a DT.

Let me take you through the pictorial to make flower stamens with glitter.
Gather your supplies - Glue gun, glue stick, floral stems, loose glitter.

Once the glue gun is ready to use evenly spread the glue on the tips of the floral stem.

Quickly dip this into the glitter & viola your stamen is ready! Easy, didn't I tell you?

I used all the glitter colors I had & used these to make calla lilies which I'll show you in a bit.

Another quick & easy glitter technique to add dimension to your embellishment.
I first die cut  a MB pippi butterfly in the corner of a CS (will be used later) to create a negative space. Then the CS was embossed & distressed with a blend of these colors squeezed lemonade, peeled paint & salty ocean. After which I stamped a script over it (hope you can see it!) with distress paint (picket fence)

Next glue a cellophane tape on the backside as shown here,

Now sprinkle some glitter over & spread it evenly into negative of the die cut & tap off the excess. This is what it will look like -

I also die cut the same butterfly in acetate & used the Wink of Stella clear brush marker to add a bit of shimmer to it. The die cut was distressed & both these were layered over the glitter one. This really looks fantastic in real with the glitter peeking from under the butterfly.

Here is the finished card...........hope you like the handmade calla lilies too!
