Altered Door Knob Hanger

Hello Friends!
In this post I am sharing an altered door knob hanger I made for my buddies & me.
When I started blogging little did I know that this creative journey would be so rewarding! Besides of course learning from fellow crafters I have also met & made some amazing friends. Last month I spent two days with Neha & Dhara, two passionate crafters. Two full days of stamping, inking, chit chat & of course craft shopping! Thank you Dhara for having us over!

I made three identical hangers for each one of us.
I started with Darice hangers & glued the vintage photo distressed pattern paper (Prima Fairy Rhyme stack). Mixed barn door DI to DecoArt texture sand paste & randomly layered it using TH burlap stencil for some texture.

These beautiful blooms are handmade (TH - tattered florals die)-

And finally here is the hanger..................finished with lots of layering, stamping & embellishments. The WRMK tag I think is perfect!

A GIFT BOX

Good Evening & a happy weekend to you all!
Very pleased to share a upcycled project today, made keeping in mind a few challenges. Take a look at this gorgeous gift box...........

I find myself creating only in monochromes these days (hope I get over it soon!). Any guesses what is recycled here? Well I leave you with the snapshots first & will reveal it only later, am sure you can guess by then. I love stick pins & in this one I have a cute birdie perched atop the pin.

The crochet flower is handmade by my mom, she made many while she was here.

The sides are chipboard pieces distressed with stormy sky ink & layered with die cuts. Glued  embellished wooden clothes pins on both the sides. This one holds a mini Bo Bunny envelope from the Noteworthy collection. Isn't it perfect to hold a cute little message for the recipient?

Making the closure for this was the toughest part! I think now that it is open you all know what this is!

Yes it was a pringles can, inspired by a pin on pinterest. This is how I went about with the upcycling

A Flower Pot Card

Good Morning All!!
Sometime back Hussena had made a gorgeous flower pot card, inspired by her I always wanted to give it a try & today I did!
Used brown handmade paper as the base for the pot, the border is punched with EK success punch. Added burlap distressed with vintage photo, over it to lend some texture
Here's my attempt at this card.

The blooms are die cuts from a Itsy Bitsy pack - distressed the flowers in four sizes with spiced marmalade & layered them over, glued a bluish flower sequin in the center.......

The card has a beautiful tag inside..................for this BG I stamped the flourish with versamark ink, embossed in white & then distressed - some sequins, crochet lace & burlap finished the tag. Was unable to capture the beauty of the blooms in this pic...........................in real they are simply gorgeous!

A band embellished with pretty sequins & lace along with flowers holds the tag in the pot.

CD holder and a gift tag

Hi friends,
Sharing a CD holder I made for my daughter, a music lover. Her newest rage is the all boys band from UK – ONE DIRECTION. To create the background I distressed a crumpled sheet and then printed musical notes. Supplemented it with coordinating washi tape.

This is the back of the CD holder.

A closer look at the flowers I made…………..wonder whether it’s the photography that did the trick to make them seem so very stunning!! All the same am loving these.

The chip board frame & butterfly are from ITSY BITSY. The shimmering flourish  from PIE LANE.

Some more pics taken from various angles.

Here’s a matching gift tag I made along with this. The flowers are by pie lane and butterfly is a distressed die cut I made.

 A look at the set.
