Our challenge this week was to create something for a Valentine’s Party. I decided to make a Vase of Heart Flowers for a table decoration that can be handed out at the end of the Party as Party Favors. I don’t have a Cricut Cartridge like Simply Sweet or anything with hearts, or I would have made this project with Cricut Cartridges vs. Punches.
Heart Party Favors:
Supplies:
Self-Adhesive Post-It paper in White, Cheeky, and Bashful
Martha Stewart 4X6 Holidays Mat Pad of Heart Card Stock Sheets
Hot Pink Bazzill Edge Strip
Cuddlebug and Tiny Heart Folder
Creative Memories Double Heart Punch
Marvy 2X2 ½ inch Scalloped Heart Punch
Stamp with 4 different Heart Candy Sayings
Pop Dots
Glue Stick and Glue Dots
Pipe Cleaners
Glass Vase (Dollar Store)
Hot Pink Stamp Pad
Recipe:
Line the Glass Vase with White Paper to hide the Pipe Cleaners.
Glue the Bazzill Edge Strip around the top of the Vase.
Cut 18 scalloped hearts from the Martha Stewart Pad using the Marvy Scallop Punch.
Using the same punch, Cut six from hearts from each of the three Post-It paper colors. (White, Cheeky, and Bashful)
Cut 18 hearts from the Martha Stewart Pad, using the large heart on the Creative Memories Double Heart Punch.
Ink one of the candies on the stamp and stamp it onto the Creative Memories (CM) punched out heart. Stamp different sayings for several of the CM hearts you punched. The stamp has Hug Me, Love You, I’m Yours, and Be Mine. (I got it this past week at Michael’s for $1)
Pop Dot the CM hearts onto the middle of the 18 Card Stock Scalloped Hearts.
Run all 18 of the Post-It Paper Scalloped Hearts through the Tiny Heart Cuddlebug Folder.
Adhere the Pipe Cleaner to the back side of each of the 18 Card Stock Scalloped Hearts with a large glue dot.
Adhere one of the Post-It Scalloped Embossed Hearts to the Card Stock Scalloped Heart with the Pipe Cleaner glued inside. Adhere insides together with nice sides facing out. Use glue pen towards bottom and around Pipe Cleaner to make sure they stay together. Do this step for all 18 hearts.
Make little bows and either tie them around the Pipe Cleaners or use a small glue dot to glue them to the front of each scalloped hearts a little ways down on the pipe cleaner.
Arrange the Hearts in the Vase like Flowers and display on your Table at the Party.
When the Party is over, hand them out as Party Favors.

Just Because!
I didn't get any new cartridges for Christmas, so I decided to go with one of my Favorite Cartridges. I just love, "Just Because Cards," because it is so easy to use. All the planning and ideas have already been done, you just need to copy the picture and you have a cute card.
I did three cards that are some of my favorites. The "Thanks a Melon" card, "Cute As A Bug" card," and "DogGone good" card. These cards are so simple.
Supplies Needed:
Just Because Cards Cricut Cartridge
Black, Red, White, and Green, Card Stock
Black and White Polk a Dot Patterned Paper
Three different sizes of Black Polk a Dot Ribbon
Adhesive and Glue Dots
Pop Dots
Ribbon Glue
Bling
Recipes:
Thanks a Melon Card
Make a card out of Black Card Stock, using one from the cartridge or cut one using your trimmer. I made my card at 4X4 1/2 folded. Or 4X9 before folding.
Cut a red melon at 2.92X3.59 in Layer 1 mode. Gypsy size.
Cut a black melon the same size in Layer 2 mode to go underneath the red one.

Adhere the red/black melon onto the green melon rind at the top center.
Adhere the "thanks a Melon" to the top of card. (Opening of card is at the left).
Adhere the Melon to the bottom right of card.
Adhere a black polk a dot ribbon with small dots to the left side of card. (I wrapped it inside the card and tied it in a bow on the front of the card.)
Cute as a Bug
Make a card out of White Card Stock, using one from the cartridge or cut one using your trimmer. I made this card to fold at the top at 4 1/2 when folded by 5 1/2 from left to right.
Cut a piece of black and white polk a dot paper 1/8th inch smaller than the front of card and adhere it to the front of card.
Cut two white lady bugs from Layer 1 mode. One 1 inch high and one 1 1/2 inches high.
Cut two black lady bugs from Layer 1 mode just a little smaller to go on top of the white ones.
Cut two red lady bugs using Layer 1 Shift mode just a little smaller than the black lady bugs and adhere to the top of the black layer.
Cut the red "cute as a bug" using Word mode 2.53.X4.65 inches high.
Make a knot from large black and white polk dot ribbon and glue dot it to the top of card.

Travelin’ Nana here, (aka Donna). We are in Florida now for the Winter. Much warmer than Kentucky was when we left there at -1 degrees.
Our challenge this week was Stocking Stuffers. I had a hard time with this challenge, but attempted something anyway. Please excuse the pictures, as I do not have a white wall or area to take pictures in the RV.

Shabby Chic Mini Album!
FOR THE YOUR STORY BLOG HOP CLICK HERE!!!
This little half egg shaped mini album was done from Shabby Chic papers and embellished with little love letters, mail, postcards, a calendar and items like someone is corresponding with a loved one long ago with hopes and dreams and counting down the days until their love one comes back home.
Vintage Mini Album
Supplies:
Cardboard Mini Album
Various Shabby Chic Pattered Papers with roses/flowers
Various Ribbons/Flowers/Buttons to match your papers
Love letters, calendar, envelops, etc to embellish.
White Pen
Adhesive
Recipe:
Go around all edges with a white craft pen where ever the paper won't cover.
Cut (24), 5 inch square papers. I used 9 different papers, but you could use less. My album had 11 two sided pages and the front and back cover, which you cover both sides.
Run all the squares through your adhesive machine if you have one.
Decide which papers you want on each page before the next step. Just be sure you don't have the same one on the page before or after the one your working on.
Adhere all the papers to the pages.
Then just tell the story you want by adhering your embellishments on each page.
Of course you can put anything on the pages vs love letters.
I have been in the mode of clearing out my craft room drawers and using whatever I find that goes together.
You could use your French Manor and Heritage carts and make it really nice.
I'm heading out to Florida the 9th and just didn't take the time to do it with my carts. Maybe the next one.
Tie ribbons on the binding. I used 5 different coordinating ribbons.
Put some flowers and a button on the front cover and your done.
