Happy Birthday!

Hello My Sweet friends!! I have been absent from my Sweet Sassy Diva team for a little while, but I am back!! this week the theme is birthdays!! With that in mind, I wanted to do a different LO, one that was for a member of the family that does not get too much of my crafty attention! Sasha, my chocolate lab, just turned 4 this past December and I created a LO for her Bday!

I used leftover paper I had printed from my Friducha before deciding to return her.

The cute puppy face is all done by hand!! I have a tutorial on how to do it on another post.

Click on the picture to go to that post for tutorial!

Gift Boxes!

Hello all!!! Today, I have for you a pair of cute boxes I am using as gift boxes for my cousins. In them fit a couple of nail polishes, a nail file and a few kiss candies. I found these cute box cuts for free from Freedigitalscrapbooking Click here!! Go there and you can find extra things for free too!

I have to say that these are not my favorite after decorating... But, with everything we have to keep playing and see what hits that happy button! I will definitely use these cuts for another occasion and play with the decoration!

Now, I have a very important tip when cutting these files. I used the Make The Cut program and the cut is set up to cut the little tiny cuts for the folding lines. Well, I stopped the cut after it was done cutting the outer part and did the scoring on my own. If you let the machine do all those little tiny cuts it will look messy.

Here they are:

These will look great hung on the tree before giving them away!!!

All materials are SEI Kris Kringle Collection

Today I have for you something super cute and simple to do! This week we have to create something for a Holiday party, so I decided to do this little crayon box for treats to place around the table!

What do you think??

I used SEI'>http://www.shopsei.com/main.cfm?heading=0&categoryoid=11">SEI Kris Kringle collection and stickers(they have two Christmas lines on clearance right now!!!)! Ribbon is from Joanns.... I think...

The box!! You are probably asking!! Where is that box from??! hehehe Well, if you have Make The Cut or Sure Cuts A Lot you can purchase cuts from MyScrapChic'>http://myscrapchick.com/">MyScrapChick, these are very affordable to buy and she has the cutests things! oh and they have a 70% off right now!!! They are very easy to use!

Thanks, as always my crafty friends, for taking a peek!!

Abby

There is also a crayon box cut on the Batman cartridge.

Disney Family Memories Mini!

Hello my dear followers and viewers!! Today I have for you a Bind-It All mini-album! I love to do these but never find enough time to really sit down and work on them! I actually have four started!!!!

I did this mini from my husband's first time to Disney after almost 15 years!!!

Material used:
Disney paper Pack from Joanns
Bind-It All
Disney Sticker variety
Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Walnut

I bought the chipboard in 12 x 12 and cut it in 4s and rounded edges. This makes it a lot easier to cut all the paper and make it a little faster to work with. I love how all the shaped albums look, but just looking at all the different shapes out there...... ugh.... I am not too good with the Xacto knife.

Thanks for visiting!!!

Here are the materials I used:

Post-It Craft Paper (used on Santa)

Core'Dinations cardstock

K & Company Christmas Paper

Just Because Cricut cart

My Scrap Chick Santa

Puffy Paint in White

Pink By Design Stamps

Elegant Bag!

Hello all! Today I had the great pleasure to play with the Post-It Craft paper! I am loving it!!! Let me tell you why! I hate, and I mean HATE cutting all those intricate and delicate cuts (I called them swirlies) because when it comes time to glue them, well, it can get nasty!! All the glue is all over the place, sometimes it doesn't dry nicely and you can see spots and I hate how it looks. And for that reason I almost never use those cuts. I used the Elegant Cake cartridge and used it to decorate this cute little bag that can be used to giveaway a gift card (my momma already took the bag from me!). I used my Expression and it cut PERFECT!!! I love this paper!!!!!

Materials used:

Post-It Craft Paper in Black

AC Carstock for bag

Elegant Cake Cartridge

Bling and ribbon from collection

Winter Frolic Home Sweet Home Decor!

Materials used:

Frame from Joanns

K&Company Yuletide Christmas Collection

Ribbon from Michaels

Flowers from my BFF last year :)

Felt flower SEI

Zip Dry Glue paper

PYM 2 Acrylic Protective Sealant

Xacto Blade

Gloss Glue

Winter Frolic Cartridge

Cricut Expression

Cricut Cuttlebug for Happy Holidays sign

Acrylic Paint for around frame

Instructions:
Apply glue to frame and carefully put paper, let dry and then use Xacto blade to cut paper excess.

Paint around frame. I used my finger... why? well it gives me a bit more control as to how much paint I want on the paper edges... I like the distressed look.

Flowers were adhered with glue dots. I used the gloss glue on the sign, on the red part only. I also embossed the sign.

Because I don't have Modge Podge, I used the acrylic protectant on the frame! It dries A LOT faster! :)

For this project I had to:

Use green: CHECK!

Use felt: CHECK!

Cricut cut: CHECK!

Emboss: CHECK!

This is my very first decorated frame!

I need to practice on my pictures!!! Thanks!

Introducing.......

Abby! Hello all! My name is Abigail, better know as Scrapbookaholic By Abby. I am super excited to be a SweetSassyDiva Designer!!! I love all things scrapbooking. I started with this art about 13 years ago, but it was something that I just liked back then. Now, it is a bit more of an addiction (can you tell? hehe). I am into card making a lot these days! I am part of other design teams as well.

I have been married for almost 15 years! We have 4 beautiful children. Three boys (14, 12, 9) and a little spoiled princess of almost 3! We moved up north California about 3 months ago and while it's hard not to have family close... it's good. I had lived all my life in southern California and now.... well, let me just say it's VERY different.

I know I will have fun being part of this DT!!!
