Colorful Sweet Summertime

Hi!

Woo-wee are you staying cool??? We are expected to reach temps in the 100's again. Yesterday was the last day of my son's mini British Soccer Camp and they ended with a water-gun fight because it was blazing hot by the time the class was finished. They had a blast and again I sing their praises and if you are looking for something for your little one to do this summer I highly recommend this organization. :-)

Okay, I was able to work on another card during nap time...I wish I could say I got it completed in nap time, but the little man had other plans and only took a quick one today. I figured he would be tired out! Wishful thinking on my part!

I started with a cream card base and decided to shop my stash. I have lots and lots of scraps and lots and lots of patterned paper pads, so I just started pulling things together again to use my stash. I ended up working with bolder colors because my tendency is to use softer colors, so I have a lot more of these bolder brights in my inventory.
The stamps I used are from Wilson Designs Strawberry Lemonade. This set is just perfect for summer! Lots of layering and die-cuts used, so I feel accomplished in getting my money's worth out of my supplies with this one! :-)

Lisa of A Mermaid's Crafts inspired my creation today. She makes amazing creations with her Spellbinders, so I thought I would incorporate several in my make today.

I am joining along My Craft Spot - Hot Summer Colors and Young Crafter's Unite - Many Layers

I just realized that my colors are in line with The Play Date Cafe so why not throw my hat in the ring there too!
Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Happy 100th Waltzingmouth Sketch Challenge

Hi there!

It's been a busy week on the ol' blog, but I couldn't let the week go by without joining in the fun to celebrate Waltzingmouse 100th Sketch Challenge! Yay! Although, I have just recently joined in the fun there, I have admired their sketchs for a long time.  I am proud to be a recipient of their Top Mouse honors, and I cherish it!

So here is a card, I created with their current 100th sketch to celebrate.
I totally shopped my stash on this one and used papers and flowers I had been hoarding!

The border is from Waltzingmouse Victorian Frippery...so so pretty.  I stamped it in Razzelberry ink.  I stained the edges with tea stain and applied to the lower portion of my patterned paper. Above the stamped border a row of die cut hearts was added.
I used a frame from Waltzingmouse Vintage Labels 18 and used a sentiment from Victorian Frippery. I dressed up the focal point with some sweet pearls.  I layered this onto some pretty green patterned paper.

A length of white seam binding was added to the left portion of the card front and tied in a fussy bow embellishing with a beautiful paper flower and leaf.

Here is the sketch! Head over to here if you want to join in the fun too!

Also joining in the fun with Really Really Reasonable Ribbon- Use ribbon/lace and flowers somewhere on your project.
Thanks for visiting with me!

Yuletide Blessings

Hi!

I have a quick Christmas card I put together for the Young Crafters Unite Challenge:  Use Dies on a project.

I thought this was a fun little challenge to jump on board with.  Considering I was without my die cutting machine and dies for a good bit this year, I am trying to catch up on loss time (just like an old friend. *wink*).

Since I don't have a lot of extra time during this busy time of year, I kept it simple using some fun Spellbinders dies. I just love these Heirloom Ornaments.  Today I used a coordinating stamp set by WalzingMouse Stamps called Vintage Ornaments and a sentiment from Compliments of the Season also by WalzingMouse.

I know everyone is busy, so I will keep this short and sweet!

I hope you are enjoying all the Holiday Season brings!
Blessings,
~Tammy~
