Grateful for you and Fascinating Fridays

Hi there!

**For my Wilson Designs Design Team Post for Day Three click here**

It's finally Friday and I have a little card to share with you today! Friday also means Friends with Flair over on the Unity Blog, so that means a lot of crafty unity goodness and you could win a prize pack for checking it out and leaving them some love! You have all weekend to to hop and comment.

Here is my unity card I have created today!

I started with a basic gray card stock and added my patterned paper from my scrap pile, but it comes from Nikki Sivils. I added a heart doily and punched another heart to add on top. I inked up my solid butterfly image from Unity and fussy cut out adding a tiny heart to the center of both followed by the pearls. My hearts were left over  from the border I punched. See I told you I waste not! :-) I added some sweet pearls to the centers of my lacy heart border and finished off with a sentiment from Simple Blessings.

I created this card using the current colors at Colourq.
I wanted to also join in the monthly challenge for Unity: The challenge was to use hearts as long as they were not pink or red. Also I used all scraps on this card, so I am joining in with Di at Pixie's Crafty Snippet Challenge
And Now I would like to introduce you to my latest Fascinating Friday Feature over on Noor's Blog!

I am very happy to introduce you to our next talented artist Stella! Stella Schenkel hails from Groningen, Netherlands. She has such a sweet and shabby style and I just adore her. Please head over to the Paperie Designs Studio Blog to learn more about Stella and leave her some love on the Paperie Designs Studio and over on her blog

That's all for now! I will be back tonight for the Wilson Designs reveal.  So you will want to come back for that! I will be posting 9:00 pm EST!

DeNami Designs Christmas Theme Challenge and Fascinating Fridays Jen Shears

Hi ya!

I am back with another Christmas Card to share with you for the DeNami Designs Theme Challenge.

Another simple but fun little card! I love Aqua and Red together especially at Christmas, so once I gathered most of my pieces (mostly from my scrap pile) I went to work.  I used DeNami Designs Large Stocking as my focal image.  I used DeNami Designs Medium Polka Dots to create a fun patterned paper for the toe and heal.

The sentiment is from DeNami Designs Holiday Greetings stamp set.  I finished off this little number with a button and some aqua pearls!

Head over to the DeNami Designs Blog for more information and to play along.

I have followed Jen Shears' blog for a long time, so it was a no brainer for this feature. You will be dazzled by her designs and this girl can really work magic with ribbon!  Please head over to Noor's blog:  Paperie Designs' Studio to help introduce you to this weeks Fascinating Friday Feature. Be sure to let Jen know you stopped by to learn a little more about her!

Thanks for spending a little part of your day with me!

Till next time~

Old Saint Nick and Fascinating Fridays: Kelley Eubanks

Hi all!

Well the Christmas Season is in full swing, and I am finding less and less time to craft these days.

Sorry for not getting around to visit your wonderful crafty talents, but I have been on the move as soon as my feet hit the floor till I collapse in bed. Hopefully, I will be able to catch up soon!

I have a quick little Christmas card to share with you. I was moving some things around my desk, and I found some scraps.  Needing a little crafty break. I created a card from my scraps which always lets me join in the fun at Jules Crafty Snippet Challenge.  Even my card base was left over from another make. A friend cut Old Saint Nick out from one of her Christmas cards she received a couple of years ago.   She thought I could use it on one of my cards one day. The bulb was cut from patterned paper using a Spellbinders Heirloom Ornament die.

I thought I would also join in The City Crafter Challenge Santa Clause is Coming to Town and The Kraft Journal Christmas Cards.  This card was put together so fast since I just grabbed things within reach.  How about you, do you ever do that for a quick make?

And now!

I am real excited to help Noor introduce this next Fascinating Friday Feature. She is sweet, caring and super talented.  You may have seen many of her creations gracing the pages of various paper craft publications. Please head over to Paperie Designs' Studio to get to know Kelley Eubanks! After your visit to Paperie Designs' Studio, head over to Kelley's Blog My Front Porch to be inspired.

Till next time!

Seasons Greetings and Fascinating Fridays

Hello everyone!

(Woohoo! This card made Fabulous 3 Spotlight at DeNami Designs)

To those that celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday! I trust it was a wonderful day and given many opportunities to reflect on what you are grateful for!

We have been a bit under the weather in this house, so I have not felt much like crafting this past week.  Hopefully better days are ahead for us around here.

I do have a little creation for you today trying to get back into the swing of things.  The DeNami Designs Sketch Challenge is underway, and I wanted to get my ink on with a stamp I have been eager to play with since I got it.  It's the DeNami Designs Pine Wreath.  I have to admit when I opened my box the image was much bigger than I expected, but it is so BEAUTIFUL!  I decided to stamp the image slightly off center!  I liked how Michele added buttons to the wreath she created here using the pine sprig, so I decided to add my take by adding some bright pink bling!  I also added some Martha Stewart snow flake glitter to give it that wintery feel!

Anyone who knows me, knows I love PINK, so when I saw that The City Crafter Challenge was A Pink Christmas I knew that the  Pine Wreath would look so beautiful in PINK and I would have to play along.

The Classic Seasons Greetings sentiment is also from DeNami Designs.  I added some pink angel wings and flower embellishments to complete my take on the sketch which you can see below.

Now onto my next Fascinating Friday Feature on the Paperie Designs Blog.
I am happy to introduce you to Paulina Nakamura  of Pretty Pink Posh.   Paulina is also the mastermind behind the DeNami Designs Blog and she is one super talented posh rubber stamper! Please head over to the Paperie Designs Studio Blog to learn more about Paulina!  When you are done, head over to her blog and leave her some love and check out her bright and fun creations!

Until next time!

Happy Veterans Day!

Hi Friends!

{Edit to note: This card made The Shabby Tea Room's Honorable Mention Cup of Tea! Yay! Thank you so much!}

I have another Thanksgiving card to share today.

Since it's Veterans Day I only saw it fitting to create a Patriotic Thanksgiving card. To all those who have served in the past and are currently serving I am Giving thanks!

This card is applicable for two challenges: The Shabby Tea Room: A Shabby Thanksgiving and The Kraft Journal: Giving Thanks.

I created my own tag then I ran it through the crimper to simulate corrugated cardboard.  I heart Kraft! :-) I added some great papers, a sentiment and crochet trim.

Here is The Shabby's Tea Room beautiful inspiration photo.
I am going to keep this short as I have to complete the finishing preparations for my son's birthday party. In a few hours I will have a lot of people here to help my son celebrate another year! I have been burning the midnight oil working on the finishing touches, so I hope all will enjoy.  He is having a train party!
If you have a moment today, please head over to check out our newest Fascinating Friday feature Jocelyn Olson of Red Balloon Cards.   Please stop by Joceylyn's blog and check out her fantastically fun and modern designs.

If you see a Veteran, be sure to Thank them!

Here Come The Boys - Wheely Nice! And a Fascinating Friday Feature

Hi!

We interrupt this program of seasonal cards
to bring you a Birthday Card!
I have had fall on the brain,
and I am sure I will be back at it as
time permits, but I had to squeeze in
a birthday card for a challenge site
I stumbled upon called
 My very very
good friend's son is turning 16
soon. She was just a few months
along in her pregnancy when
my husband and I got married!
Hard to believe he will be turning 16!
The challenge is to create a project with Wheels!
How appropriate for a 16 year old young man!
I had fun with this one as I started and completed the entire thing
from my scrap box! Just mixing and matching layers.
(Since I couldn't add a button or ribbon)
I used the PTI Background Basics: Diamonds background
to create my own patterned paper using Aqua Mist ink
on a Whisper White Card Stock scrap. I wanted a retro feel
so I used my copics to only color in a portion of the car.
I shaded the windshield a very light blue for a
glass like appearance.
I used PTI By The Numbers die to cut out the 16
from some zig zag patterned paper I found in
my stash. I finished the card off with
a Happy Birthday sentiment!
Happy to play along with Jules Snippet Challenge
as everything even the card base was created from
my scrap box.
I have another wonderful and uber talented designer to share
with you on this Fantastic Friday over on the Paperie Designs Studio Blog!
It's Dana Seymour of Kismet, Art and Life
Please head over to Paperie Designs Studio to learn
more about this Fascinating Artist!
Hope you have a wonderful Friday!

Simple Blessings and Fascinating Fridays

Hi!

**Wahoo Friends with Flair Blog Hop Winner**

September has flown by and here we are at the last Friday
of the month! I was able to create  a card to join up with
the Friends with Flair on the Unity Blog and it also happens to
qualify for their Monthly challenge they are running Falling Leaves.
I am also joining in with CR84FN for their color challenge.
Gasp, I just realized I must not be feeling well because
I completed this card without adding a button somewhere
on here. :-)
I started out with all scraps! Yay! Feels so good to
work from that pile. I had a Kraft card base
just waiting to be used, and some brown gingham
paper perfect for this color challenge.

I diecut the doily from Vintage Book print, and I
do mean vintage. This book is about to disintegrate,
I picked it up in the "last minute bargain pile"
at a thrift shop in Hawaii. It's the pile about
to go in the dumpster and you have about
one minute to grab it.  It's falling apart and,
the lady couldn't figure out why on
earth I was so happy to have it.

Next, I stamped and fussy cut two leaves from the
Simple Blessings stamp set and stamped
the other right onto the doily.  (The Simple Blessings set is on sale
right now) I love this set!!!

I finished off by creating a panel for my sentiment and I added
a strip of pattern paper to the bottom. Last, but not least, I
added some ribbon and braided raffia!

And Now....
I am happy to introduce our next Fascinating Friday Feature over on the Paperie Designs Blog is none
other than Ms. Amy Sheffer of Pickled Paper Designs. Please hop on over to Paperie Designs Blog
and learn a little more about Amy and her wonderful designs.  Please leave her some love
and let her know you stopped by to read her feature.

If you made it to the end of this post, YOU ROCK!
Have a wonderful day!

Hey all!

I am here today with a card for the Unity Friends with Flair and the Unity Monthly Challenge-Back to School. Be sure to stop by and blog hop with all the Friends with Flair participants to for a chance to win some free Unity Stamps! :-)

Using the Smarty Pants set by Unity, I created a simple but fun little Back to School card, by stamping the Report Card on some blue graph pattern paper I had in my stash next stamping the Back 2 School distressed sentiment on the focal image. For a little more visual interested I added a punched apple and button.  Across the top, I stamped the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, TGIF stamp which I thought was so cute! I know I always counted the days till Friday when I was in school! :)

I added some fun little papers found in my scrap collection to my chocolate card base. I added a doily dyed in Riding Hood Red.  I then added a complementing striped Riding Hood Red twill ribbon finishing with a button and some twine. I am playing along with Jules Crafty Snippet Challenge since all items were found in my handy dandy scrap box! :-)

It's another Fantastic Fascinating Friday feature! Boo! DeNami Designs Sketch Challenge!

Boo to you all!

It looks likes us East Coasters are really dancing with Mother Nature this week. First we had a very surprising earthquake, and now we are getting ready for the effects of a hurricane!  So, I better get my card posted because who knows what will happen.

This is my fun little card for the DeNami Designs Sketch Challenge!

I flipped it as seen here and put my creative spin on it!
On my candy corns, I stamped two darling stamps from The Halloween Stamp Set with my glue pad and then covered them in black glitter.

Next I created a bottle cap embelli and used Crystal Effects to seal it. These embellies also make the prefect magnets as I have already filled the back of the bottle cap, so all you have to do is take it off the card front and add a peel and stick magnet. Easy peasy!

Before I go I wanted to share another Fascinating Friday Feature with you over on Noor's blog! I spotted this young lady sometime back and what wowed me was how she hand draws many of her own backgrounds.  Today we are featuring Marie / Legojenta.  Please head over to Noor's blog to learn more about this fabulous talent!

Have a Fabulous Friday!

If Friends were Flowers...

I'd pick you! So true isn't it!
Back home in Florida there is an adorable little girl turning 6 and she is having a Garden Party for her birthday, so as I was unpacking things I came across this much neglected set called Green Thumb by PTI....so instead of finishing up the task of unpacking and sorting (no fun), I got distracted with playing with paper. (fun) Doesn't take much!!

I started off with a light green card base I found in my scrap pile along with this pattern paper from TAC.  I remembered that the CR84FN challenge colors this week were Celery, Lavender and Gray, so all I needed to do was add the gray in there somewhere. Looked around the scapbox and found an already cut piece, but it was boring, so I created my own background with some of the flowers from the Green Thumb set using VersaMark ink. This gives it a nice subtle background! I laid the stamps on my stamping block and created a repeat pattern.

Next I stamped the watering can in Momento London Fog and fussy cut it out. Stamp the stems from the set and I decided to use some rosebuds I had and I loved how it gave the card dimension.   After adding the sentiment and buttons, I wanted a more rustic feel so I distressed all the edges and inked the card base in Craft White Ink by Stampin' UP! I added a ribbon that was laying on my craft table still looking for a home (trying to organize a new home is not fun), and that was it!
Here are the pretty colors I played with:
I am also playing along with Jules Crafty Snippet challenge 30! Goodness I have a ton of scraps to use, and I am working on it, but not sure the pile will ever go down! :-)

It's Friday again, and that means another fabulous artist feature over at Noor's Fascinating Fridays Paperies Designs Studio.  This week we are featuring Mary Dawn of My Pink Mexico! I have enjoyed looking around this talented ladies blog and I thought she would be perfect for a feature. A fabulous spotting indeed! Please head over to Noor's to learn more about Mary Dawn and then stop by her blog and show her some love!

Hope you have a fascinating Friday!
