2018 Graduate

Hello there!

We interrupt the marathon of teacher cards to bring you a graduation card!:)))

The weather has been dreary with this tropical storm looming about. It's been a VERY wet spring.

I started by embossing the Graduation Cap (DeNami Designs) with gold embossing powder to create my focal point. I had a piece of patterned paper from a recent card I made still on my desk. I liked how it looked against the navy card stock, so that was an easy design find at my finger tips.  I adhered it to the front of the card leaving enough room to add the die-cut numbers (My Creative Time) for the year to add to the bottom of the card.
I have this huge roll of Gold ribbon from May Arts that I have had for at least 10 years. Good thing that gold never goes out of style! :))) I took a length and wrapped it around the card front and instead of tying in a bow, I secured it with a blue button from my stash to complete this graduation card!
I am sharing over at: Shopping our Stash - Graduation, Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge - Anything Goes, D.L. Graduation Card

Good Morning!

It's been quite awhile since I got inky. Working and a child on three baseball teams has definitely put any crafting time on the back burner.

It's that time of year...Grads, Dads, and Weddings!
I have always adored this little DeNami Designs Graduation Owl.  I colored with copics and fussy cut him and popped him in the middle of the DeNami Designs Graduation Circle. I created a background using Versa Mark ink and a few graduations stamps also from Denami Designs. You can find the sentiment from there as well.
I further embellished this card with some hemp twine laced with a green button (DeNami Designs) and a few sequins. The green cardstock was dry embossed to give the card some added texture.  All papers are using leftovers from my scraps box.

I am joining in the fun at: Crafting With An Attitude - Anything Goes, Always Fun Challenges - Dry Embossing, The Fairy and The Unicorn - Anything Goes, Crafting With Friends - Anything Goes, Jo's Scrap Shack - Anything Goes, Simply Papercraft - Anything Goes, HIMCR - Super Scraps Saturday.

College Bound - Congrats

Happy Thursday Friends!

I have a masculine graduation card to share with you today using some fabulous Stars and Stripes Trendy Twine. This awesome Twine is still on sale at Annie's Paper Boutique!!!!

I started with a red card base onto which I added a layer of white cardstock. Using some patterned paper from my stash, I die-cut a banner adding to the middle left side of the card front. I added a strip of red polka-dot washi tape across the middle. I then took a long length of the fabulous Stars and Stripes Trendy Twine and wrapped it around the card front several times for visual interest and texture.
I used a scallop and square die (PTI) to serve as a mat for my focal image (Enjoy the ride PTI) and added it to the upper right portion of the card. Lastly, I added a few sequins and the Congrats (DeNami Design) sentiment in the lower right corner to complete my card.

I am going to join along the Retro Sketches Challenge this Week.  I took a little creative liberty...(:

Thank you for stopping by!

Graduation Gift Bag with DeNami Designs Product Spotlight

Hi There!

The DeNami design Team is featuring the Diploma stamp today. The stamp we are spotlighting today will be given away to one lucky commenter, so don't forget to leave some love to each of the gals at the end of this post.

You can also add this to your shopping cart this week for a 10% savings. If you should purchase the stamp and are the winner from the Product Spotlight draw, then DeNami will refund you the purchase price of the stamp. Can't beat that.

For the Product Spotlight today, I made a Graduation gift bag showcasing the Diploma stamp.
This was easy to put together and I used the DeNami Gift Bag template. I added some texture by using  the Wire Fence embossing folder on a trimmed out light blue piece of cardstock which I adhered to the front.

I used the Scallop Circle stamp to frame my  Diploma focal point. I colored the diploma in with Copic Markers. Finishing touches include tying a black satin bow to the top and trimming the ends with pinking shears.

Go check out what the other ladies created with this stamp and don't forget to comment for your chance to win this stamp!

DeNami Sneak Peek: Create Your Own

Hi!

{For The New Ribbon Reel Challenge Post click here}

Welcome to Day 3 of the DeNami Design Sneak Peeks.  Teammate Deb and I will be showing the new release Create Your Own to be released July 10th.

DeNami has come out with a line where you can create your own characters. Previously released by DeNami Designs is a petit four set Friendly Faces and they work with the new Create Your Own Cling Stamps Faces and Hairstyles.  The Create Your Own Royal Court set was used here to create this cute birthday card.  I stamped DeNami Design Happy Birthday Script inside a half scalloped oval and placed at the top of my card adding DeNami Design Sweetheart Buttons on both sides.

Up next is a thank you card using The Create Your Own Cling Faces and previously released Friendly Faces to create a "Smiley Face" Graduation Thank You.
My inspiration came from a friend mentioning that she needed Thank You notes for Kindergarten Graduation and everything on the market ready made seemed geared toward High School or Collegiate,  and it just wasn't what she was looking for.  So I wanted to show how this new release faces works well with some previously released stamps such as the Graduation Set and if you took advantage of the Product Spotlight discount a couple of weeks back you have this in your collection already! :-)

I started by creating a smiley face in two corners and I used the confetti from the Graduation Set to create a border. You can use any sentiment in the center, but I went with You're The Best.

Next, I have a few treat bags to share using the Faces set and Trick-or-Treat accessory set.  I stamped them on smaller tags and used some black grosgrain ribbon and Halloween Boutique Buttons to anchor them to the top of the bag.
I started with  Two Glassine Bags and I stamped and embossed the spider web from The Petit Four Halloween Stamp Set on the front of the bag in white ink.   I added some green polkadot paper from my stash to the bottom and used the White and Black Dots Washi Tape by cutting it in half and adding to the top and bottom of the paper.
I am also showing the soon to be released Halloween Spider Web used in the center of the treats.  No sneak peek is not complete without a giveaway!

Next I would like to share some notecards.  This can work either as a gift to a teacher at the start of the school year or a set for yourself to write to your child's teacher.  I know many teachers send notes home and with the Create Your Own, you can mix and match boys and girls! I created an example creating a boy since I have a little guy.
I also used a sentiment from The All Occasions Sentiment Set and the Basic Borders Set (cling)

I hope you enjoyed the Create Your Own sneak peek.

But no sneak peek is complete without a giveaway right???  For your chance to win some Brand New DeNami goodies of your own be sure to:

The Kraft Journal #122 Celebrations - Graduation Card

Good Monday Morning!

For today's "Celebrations" challenge at The Kraft Journal, I chose to make a graduation card.  It's that time of year for Grads and Dads. It sure seems like time is just flying right on by! I started with a Brown Kraft Cover Weight cardstock as the base onto which I added my pieced patterned papers from my stash of scraps.

I added a gray die-cut trim to the left side of the card front next adding a doily to go underneath the Grungy Stained Hangtag which has a layer of Vintage Dictionary Pages and stamped images from DeNami Designs.  I used the Graduation Owl which has been colored with Copics and the Cling Graduation Set.  The sentiment Congrats is from the Thoughtful Greeting Stamp Set

I  further embellished the tag by adding some buttons and a paper bloom. My final finishing touch includes adding a length of Natural Twill Tape which I tied off in a bow embellished with a button and Natural Hemp Cord.
Please be sure to head over to the The Kraft Journal to check out the projects by the other gals.  We hope to see your Celebrations creations in the gallery this week for your chance to be featured on our "Feature me Friday" post as well as be entered to win a $15.00 gift voucher from The Kraft Outlet store.

I am joining in at The Ribbon Carousel - Celebrations, D.L. Art Thankful Thursday - Linky Party, Sunday {Fun}day - Linky Party

Have a magnificent Monday!

Happy Graduation Day!

Hi!

I am running on fumes trying to finish up some cards that need to go out in the mail. We are running full speed with outdoor time summer activities plus the regular scheduled activities that keep this taxi driver Mom busy! Less and less crafty time...and less and less blogging time. I expect my posts will be rather short

We received another graduation announcement, so off to the craftroom I go.  I saw the colors this week on the Colourq blog and really liked them, so I used that as my jump start source of inspiration.
On the left portion of the card front, I stamped my own patterned paper using PTI: Rosie Posie. The right side is using some fabulous patterned paper from Cupcake Cards and Gifts called Last Summer.    The sentiment die was created using Happy Day Stamp Set. Buttons and twine are added for a finishing touch!

Here is the Colourq Colors where I found my color inspiration.
Sorry to keep this so short! I expect that's how most my post will be for awhile.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

2012 Graduate

Hi!

Have you ever received a High School Graduation invitation in the mail and think wait a minute did I read that right and you suddenly feel OLD!  Well, that is just how I felt for the recipient of the card I have to share with you today. The last time I saw him, I think he was 7 playing little league and now he is a high school graduate.  It seems like yesterday!

Since it is a young man, I kept my design clean and fairly simple. (For me that requires sitting on my hands very tightly). I have to laugh because I got a request from someone that they would like to see me do some CAS. If you are reading this, here is one for you! :-)))
It's a tall card. It's been awhile since I have done one of those. I used the young man's school colors as my inspiration. I used Fancy Labels 3 Frame from Inspired By Stamping to create a frame for the graduation hat which was cut using my Cricut.
I used an embossing plate from Stampin' UP! to add texture to the black cardstock.
I am going to keep this short and sweet! I will be back in a few hours with my Inspired By Stamping Sneak Peek Post!

I am going to join in The Kraft Journal's Challenge this week: Graduation.

Thanks for popping by!
