ATELIER SOED IDEE

Vanochtend kwam de postmevrouw een hele stapel met dikke enveloppen bezorgen en ze waren allemaal voor mij! (sorry huisgenoten ;) ) Er waren weer drie enveloppen uit Japan met de nieuwe modellen schaartjes. Ze zijn allemaal weer even prachtig, alhoewel ik zelf niet zo gecharmeerd ben van dat goud. Helaas is model G (het goudkleurige ooievaarsschaartje) pas in januari leverbaar. Ik heb nu van alle modelletjes ook een bescheiden voorraad. This morning the mailwoman deliverd a large pile of thick envelopes and they were all for me! There were three envelopes from Japan with the new models of scissors in it. They're all beautiful, although personally I don't like the gold ones. I've got them all in stock now, except for model G, which will come in January. Ik vind het tasje al prachtig, dus die krijgt binnenkort een plekje onder de boom. Ee

First of all; let me see thank you! I had so much wonderful comments on my craft room! And yes... I'm over-organised... Yesterday I had the most wonderful time since ages! Marne (from the US)was visiting the Netherlands, so we had a meeting with some Crazy exchange members; Caroline , Jacqueline , Joke and Bianca came to my house, so that we could chat, laugh, eat and stitch (but we didn't have time for that). From left to right: Joke, Caroline, Bianca, Marne, me and Jacqueline I didn't take pictures myself, but Caroline made a lot so please take a look into her album . The good thing was that we had the most beautiful Spring weather you could imagine, so we spent the whole time in our back yard! Girls, I hope we can do this again in the near future... Today I received this great exchange from Taija from Finland. She sent me a crazy exchange already before Christmas, but it came back to her house. So she sent another one, and this time it arrived safely on my doorstep. Taija sent me a little purse made from lovely heart fabrics, 2 quilt fabrics and a pair of scissors with the cutest Matrushka as a fob. This exchange is so perfect! I'm having a weakness for hearts at the moment, my large scissors weren't cutting probably anymore and I've stitched a floss tag for an exchange that matches perfectly with the brown/pink fabric. Wendy Jo finally received her birthday exchange I've sent her! Her birthday was January 12th, but the mailcompany took its time to deliver my package. Graziano linen Floss: DMC Finish: wall hanging I've made a wall hanging of the stitched piece, but Wendy Jo can easily make it into a cushion either! Here's the complete exchange I've sent: I wanted a new handbag, because I thought my current one was boring... But it was perfectly fine and I liked the size of it. So I decided to "pimp" it! First I dyed it black (it was grey/brown). After that I dived into my buttons, ribbons and other stuff, and sewed, glewed and ironed it on my bag. I'm really happy with the result! Hugs, Simone

I've made some more sheep for my flock. Some of them have been travelling around the globe! The first one, "Isaac" has travelled to Belgium, to go living at Iris' place. I've kept the one in Scottish cloth for myself and the last one travelled all the way to the USA! Max has found a new home at Marne's . It was my return exchange for her for the crazy exchange . A few days ago, I was browsing some weblogs and came on this French blog; Le Chalet des Perelles , and saw this cute woolfelt little birdies. I just had to try to make them! They are not as pretty as on the french blog, but I like them anyway ;) Yesterday I spent a wonderful day at Bep's with my friend Jacq . Bep had a Christmas day and workshop in her house. And I finally met Cindy IRL overthere! Cindy and I knew each other from our blogs, so it was very nice to finally "Meet and Greet". And Cindy also made me this cute Tilda heart: Thanks again Cindy! This morning the doorbell ringed and the mailman handed over a big envelop to me! I knew there was a crazyexchange on it's way to me and this was finally it. The package was from Marne ! Last week I mailed out four exchanges! On the Crazy exchange group we have an Autumn exchange going on. And today I found out that Katrien and I have each other as a partner. At least, that's what it felt like, when I came home from my vacation! There were several packages waiting for me, to be opened. First of all, there was the Summer Needleroll from Iris , for the Borduurhoekje exchange. Iris made me this wonderful needleroll: I have no clue from which designer this is! Will you tell us that, Iris? Iris also included some goodies: some charts from my wishlist, some floss and a card she made herself. Iris, thank you so much for this great exchange! Than I opened up a big box from the USA. It was the SBEBB Redwork exchange from Donna . Donna made me my first hornbook! Isn't it gorgeous?! She told me it was a freebie from Mon Ami Pierre, stitched with Belle Soie silk "Cranberry". And Donna also sent me a lot of fun stuff: I really felt like a kid on Christmas Eve, while opening all these presents! Thank you so much Donna!!! I was getting worried about my Feathered Friends exchange. Because I still hadn't heard that it was arrived. But when I took a look at Joan's blog I found out she received it almost two weeks ago! It was a good mail day again ;) Today my return exchange from Janaina for the Crazy exchange came. Janaina made me this beautiful Biscornu! She already knew I like it, because she tested me ;) She already showed pics of it in her blog! Of course the other goodies were a surprise, and I love them all. Thanks Janaina!!! And get well soon!
