  • We had a special “Dad Day” during D week.
    1. Show the kids pictures of their Dad when he was little.
    2. Have Dad tell the kids some things he liked to do when he was their age.
    3. Hang doughnuts from the ceiling and try to eat them without hands.
    4. Play fun games outside with Dad.
snack idea: doughnuts ... or Dad's favorite treat

M&M bowtie card

DSC06969

Simple and yummy card for Father’s Day

  1. Cut a piece of cardstock in half, then fold each of those in half to make two cards.
  2. Draw a simple head and neck on the front.
  3. Let the kids decorate their “DAD” with hair, eyes, nose, mouth, ears…
  4. Tie a piece of ribbon around a mini pack of M&Ms.
  5. Glue the M&M bowtie onto the neck just under Dad’s chin (I love using hot glue. It dries quickly and holds tight)
  6. Open the card and let the kids write a nice note inside.

Happy Father’s Day!

This is a cute and easy Father’s Day card. We actually sent them to uncles serving missions but you could just as easily make them without the missionary name tag. They fold down in the back so there’s room to write a note inside. The folding instructions are here!
