MY SATURDAY SHARE

I have two simple things to share with you today that I created last night when I went to visit my friend Maraline.

The first is a fun Autumn tag using the
'Giula'
Julie Nutting doll stamp.

I am entering her in the
Try It On Tuesday Autumn challenge
and in
Trimmie's C.R.A.F.T. Challenge #332 Autumn/Halloween/Thanksgiving/Bonfire Night.
and in
Changing Seasons
And next a fun baby boy card using

and my card-

It's really hard to read in the photo - it says
'WITH LOVE AND BEST WISHES
TO YOUR NEW BABY'

I hope that you have enjoyed my Saturday creative endeavors.

Hopefully I will have something else for you to check out later today!

Please leave a comment to let me know you stopped by and what you thought of my latest creations!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

A FEW CARDS

Last night I was able to complete 3 cards for a variety of challenges.  Here they are:

First up is one that was inspired by #216 Tic Tac Toe challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room.

I chose to do the bottom horizontal row which included gingham, flowers and vintage trims. (The lace is vintage found in the attic of my last church in NJ.)

I used card sketch #5 from Scrapbook.com which I rotated 1/4 turn clockwise.

I am also entering this in Paper Shelter challenge #156 Use That Ribbon! (the center stripes are ribbon as well as the tiny roses and bows) and The Crazy Challenge #170 It's all about the Stripes!

Here is card #1-

For my second card I chose card sketch #4 from Scrapbook.com.

I am also entering this in Try it on Tuesday Springtime theme challenge and Paper Pretties PWC308 Springtime theme challenge.

Card #2-

and last I used sketch #343 from Mojo Monday which called for a tall and skinny card, Lots of Layers for challenge #17 over at My Mum's Craft Shop, the color palette from Scrapbook.com card challenge category #1 and Anything Goes challenge #130 at Word Art Wednesday.

and here is my last card-

I hope that you have enjoyed these selections.  Today I am gearing up for National Scrapbook Day crops at a few different sites.  I am really looking forward to getting a lot accomplished and having more to share with you!  As always thanks for stopping by.  All comments gratefully appreciated.

A SLOW CELEBRATION

I started this layout last night and it took all this time to get it done.  These are a few not very good photos that were taken on my birthday this year.  As they are all I have from this year I figured I'd use them even though there was nothing more I could do to improve them.  The layout actually started taking shape when I went into my file of birthday papers planning to scrap Thomas' or Michael's birthday and I saw the sad little Panda Bear.  It so suit my birthday this year.  I had just gotten out of the hospital a few days prior.  Robert had school so Thomas and I went out for dinner alone.  I bought our family tradition ice cream cake for myself.  I know we waited for Robert to be home to have the cake but for some reason there were no photos with him in them.

I am entering this in Die-Cuttin Divas challenge #141 Buttons.  (I of course also used die-cuts - the swirls are one of my favorite Sizzix dies which I cut in various patterns and coated with paint and glitter.)  I used bright seasonal colors for the Try it on Tuesday Color Explosion challenge.

I am also entering this in Colorful Creations November Favorite Things challenge.  The assignment was to pick a favorite thing you are thankful for that is outside the box of family, loved ones and friends - more like a cup of coffee, a sunset etc.  The reason I am entering this layout as it is one of our favorite family traditions to have an ice cream cake that is served on a platter that matches my Pfaltzgraff Tea Rose dishes but says Happy Birthday on it.  I love having ongoing family traditions, this is my favorite set of dishes and who wouldn't love ice cream cake?

So, without further ado here is my layout:

and of course it is now quite late as usual and I need to hurry off to bed as I have early appointments tomorrow for my mammogram and with my hematologist.  Hopefully soon I will have some answers to the confusion and fatigue that has been plaguing me this year.

Thanks for stopping by.  Please come back again soon!

TEA TIME IN THE ENCHANTED WOODS

Come by and join me for a tea party at the Acorn Tearoom.  The tabletop has acorns and oak leaves carved right into it.  Then you must stop by the Tulip Tree House, built from a giant tulip-poplar tree that had lived for over 100 years.  If you open the tiny door carefully you can actually go inside the tree!

Today's creation was done with lots of Shine and Sparkle (Stickles and Liquid Pearls) for challenge #244 at Crafty Creations Challenges, my background paper is Coordinations embossed cardstock which has lots of texture for the challenge at Try It on Tuesdays. For Fab 'n Funky challenge #189 the flowers are spots and my photo mats have stripes.  At Whoopsi Daisy this week the challenge calls for using spots (the flowers) and dots (on the tea cup).  I am also linking up with The Memory Nest.

And finally - here is my layout:

I hope you enjoyed our little tea party.  Stop back tomorrow for more from the Enchanted Woods.
